Assault Vest Tornadus-T has been soaring in the last few weeks. The added special bulk allows it to more consistently switch into and cripple special attackers such as Dragapult and Volcanion throughout a match, as well as being a strong pivot due to Knock Off and its large pool of coverage options. Heat Wave heavily cripples Pokemon like Scizor, Ferrothorn, and Melmetal while also being more reliable than Hurricane against Kartana. U-turn allows Tornadus-T to pivot out of potential switch-ins such as Zeraora and Tapu Koko while also providing offensive momentum for its teammates. Landorus-T is a great partner for Tornadus-T, as it can provide Defog support and an Electric immunity against Tapu Koko and Zeraora for it. Additionally, Tornadus-T forms strong VoltTurn cores with other pivots like Tapu Koko and Rotom-W, comfortably switching into and forcing out threats like Dragapult and Galarian Slowking, while Tapu Koko and Rotom-W can force out Pokemon like Slowking and Heatran, respectively. Physical walls that struggle with special attackers such as Slowbro and Buzzwole also pair very well with Tornadus-T.
