* Some of Torkoal's strongest partners are Trick Room setters like Cresselia and Farigiraf, which can help set up Trick Room and protect it from damage with Ally Switch and Armor Tail, respectively. Torkoal also pairs well with other Pokemon that benefit from Trick Room like Ursaluna-B and Iron Hands, which can threaten neutral damage onto most of the tier, notably threatening Pokemon like Raging Bolt and Tera Water Ogerpon-W, respectively.
