i really fucking love this show. season 1 was awesome even in the midst of the writers' strike. seasons 2 and 3 both get progressively better and better and build on everything. the only thing i miss is the humor from s1, but i guess that's what you get as the series as a whole gets darker.

season 3 finale was chilling, and i really really love how they built up gus's character. he seemed so innocent at first but you knew there was something much darker and dangerous about him.

so yeah, general discussion topic for Breaking Bad. I hope enough people watch it that the topic title doesn't make me look like an asshole.

the contamination episode is also hilarious: "Ebola? yeah, it's this disease on the discovery channel where your intestines sort of just slip right out your butt." laughed way harder than i probably should have

I think this is the season where we'll finally see walt's family (immediate family) dragged into the crossfire. the first three episodes have been good so far, setting the stage like the first few in S3. the situation with gus and mike is going to reach a boiling point, we just don't know when or how.

also, vince gilligan said he planned to stop at 5 seasons and there is a definitive ending, but if it takes more than 5 seasons to tell then he's open to extending. he also said there's a point where we won't be able to empathize with Walt anymore. i think we might see some more of that this season as well

yes you should. there's a reason bryan cranston (lead actor) has won the best actor in a drama emmy 3 years in a row. it's a shame BB got shafted this year since the season started too late, but it's an amazing show regardless
