[SET COMMENTS]
Mandibuzz is a decent supportive piece for Dark teams with its ability to pivot into physical attackers like Ceruledge, Garchomp, and Excadrill due to its great bulk and U-turn to position its other teammates into favorable matchups. Foul Play punishes strong physical attackers like Ogerpon-W, Dragonite, and Scizor. If the reader feels that Toxic is enough to keep physical setup sweepers at bay, Knock Off allows Mandibuzz to remove key items from Archaludon, Hisuian Goodra, and Toxapex to help Mandibuzz's teammates have an easier time overwhelming these walls. U-turn lets Mandibuzz act as a pivot to escape common switch-ins like Gliscor, Clodsire, and Gholdengo to maintain the offensive momentum of its team. Toxic greatly cuts the longevity of threats like Hisuian Samurott and Volcarona, which otherwise switch in and set up on Mandibuzz. Defog lets Mandibuzz prevent its teammates from getting worn down over the course of the match, and if paired with Toxic, lets Mandibuzz pressure entry hazard setters like Great Tusk and Ting-Lu. Overcoat is vital for checking Excadrill on sand-based Ground teams. 23 Speed IVs coupled with a Relaxed nature let Mandibuzz underspeed Skarmory, allowing Mandibuzz to safely bring in a teammate to deal with Skarmory while also breaking its Sturdy with U-turn. Alternatively, an Impish nature with 16 Speed EVs lets Mandibuzz outspeed and use Foul Play against Adamant Azumarill, checking it after it has used Belly Drum. Heavy-Duty Boots lets Mandibuzz get in freely to remove Stealth Rock if running Defog without much issue, but Rocky Helmet racks up chip damage against threats like Choice Scarf Urshifu-R, Excadrill, and Meowscarada and also punishes U-turn users like Sneasler and Roaring Moon.
Mandibuzz's ability to pivot for its teammates greatly benefits wallbreakers like Darkrai, Bisharp, Hisuian Samurott, and Choice Specs Hoopa-U, as it gives them more room to set up or punch holes in opposing teams. Nasty Plot Darkrai, for instance, can start wreaking havoc on Flying, Steel, and Dragon teams after a Nasty Plot, as it forces out Gliscor, Skarmory, and Archaludon, which Mandibuzz lures in. On the other hand, Swords Dance Bisharp benefits from being put in against Toxapex and Clodsire, allowing it to set up and clean weakened Poison and Ground teams, while Hisuian Samurott trades a Poison immunity for the ability to stack Spikes with Ceaseless Edge to eventually overpower Dragon teams late-game. Choice Specs Hoopa-U deals with Ursaluna, Toxapex, and Archaludon and sports a great natural Special Defense to trade with Choice Scarf Iron Valiant and Enamorus in the worst-case scenario. Hoopa-U can also use a Choice Scarf to surprise threats like Flutter Mane and Keldeo, which take advantage of Mandibuzz. Choice Scarf Meowscarada forms a decent pivoting core with Mandibuzz and can clean up against types like Ground, Flying, Fairy, and Dragon late-game. Greninja provides more wallbreaking power, dealing with Toxapex, Clodsire, and Ogerpon-H if using a Choice Specs set, or acts as a revenge-killer that outspeeds and eliminates Choice Scarf Enamorus and Sneasler, which can overwhelm Mandibuzz. Ting-Lu complements Mandibuzz, as these complete a defensive core for Dark teams, with Ting-Lu being able to deal with Raging Bolt, Gholdengo, and Flutter Mane while also providing entry hazards. While Mandibuzz slightly overlaps with Sableye due to their role as a physical wall, Sableye is still greatly appreciated thanks to its ability to check IronPress Skarmory, burn Urshifu-R and Barraskewda to let Mandibuzz check these threats safely, and use Encore on setup sweepers like Keldeo, Primarina, and Volcarona, which take advantage of Mandibuzz.
