The Revenge Killers

When I set out to create this team, I basically had in mind one thing: revenge. Too often had I seen my poor pokemon KOd and been unable to punish the pokemon that had done the KOing. With that in mind I have created a team that I believe is able to get revenge kills on a wide range of pokemon while still having basic attack potential through Metagross and Poliwrath.

The team:

Metagross

My opening star and choice bander. Though I love my choice band gross, I feel he may be slightly out of place as a lead. This is an area where I would appreciate some help. What would be a better set for gross as a lead?
Nature: Adamant Item: Choice Band
EVs: 252 HP
244 Att
12 Def
Moveset
Meteor Mash
Earthquake
Pursuit
Explosion

Electivivre
Super effective king. I love switching into thunder waves for the speed boost, then hitting everything hard with super effective moves.
Nature: Hasty Item: Expert Belt
EVs: 4HP 176 Att 176 SpAtt 252 Speed
Moves
Thunderbolt
Ice punch
Earthquake
Cross chop

Poliwrath: Canetoad

Belly drummer. Switch in on non threat, sub and go for it. Many a time have I racked up six kills with this baby, and damn is it fun.
Nature: Jolly Item: Salac berry
EVs 252 Att 252 speed 4 spdef
Belly Drum
Substitute
Brick break
Ice punch

Dugtrio
Choice scarf = suprise KOs. Lots of suprise KOs.
Nature: Jolly Item: Choice scarf
EVs 4 HP 252 Att 252 Speed
Earthquake
Aerial Ace
Stone edge
Sucker punch (should I change this to night slash?)

Deoxys Speed
I love my Deoxys. No other pokemon can so reliably take down two or three enemy pokemon and help me claw my way back into the game like Deoxys.
Nature: Hasty Item: Life Orb
EVs 160 Att 252 SpAtt 96 Speed
Pyscho Boost
Ice beam
Thunderbolt
Superpower

Weaville
Doesn't quite fit into the team. Many of its roles are already being filled by other pokemon, with the main exception being ice shard.
Nature: Jolly Item: Choice band
EVs 40 HP 252 Att 212 Speed
Pursuit
Ice shard
Night slash
Brick break

Weaknesses

My team has problems with stallers. Anything I can't take down in two hits is gonna be trouble basically, unless Poli handles it and unfortunately he often croaks (geddit) before the job is done. Even bulky but agressive pokemon like Snorlax or Swampert can be difficult. However, my team does handle many common offensive threats well, such as Gyrados and Salamence.

Thanks for reading my thread. I welcome all advice, as my team needs all the help it can get. It is far completed, but I've already gotten my rank up to 1300 with these guys. Which is good, right? :-p

You definitely don't want Electivire to be Jolly if you're running Tbolt, lol. Either replace it with ThunderPunch instead or use a Hasty or Naive nature.

If you're scarfing Dugtrio you might as well make it Adamant unless you really want to outrun Timid ScarfGar, who probably isn't staying in anyway

To use a widely offensive team you definitely need a couple of wallbreakers. They're a great asset to break down stallteams. I'll recommend Infernape, as it tear down Bronzong, and loosen up bulky Ground- and Water types. They all give you a pretty hard time from what I can see. I too cannot see the need of Weavile, except for the Ghost resistance which can come in handy, but throwing Pursuit on Metagross would pretty much do the same thing as it neutralizes Gengar. Making Metagross more bulky and giving it Lum Berry would allow it to actually switch in, and it's worth some consideration.

Another great asset in a offensive team is screens, so leading off with a dual screen Deoxys-S is highly recommended as it allow you to easily switch in some of your more fragile sweepers, like Infernape (if you take my advice, that is). A LO-Dos is great paired with screens, as about nothing can prevent it from getting atleast two Dragon Dances, and I can't possibly think of anything who's capable of walling you effectively after two DDs. It's also amazing paired with Infernape, due Starmie and Vaporeon mainly being used to counter Infernape and Gyarados. Naturally, killing one of them off will open a lot of holes for a sweep for either on of them. On a side note, Gyarados would help you out a lot with your huge Ground and Fighting weakness.

Dude, your team lacks walls/tanks. Having 6 sweepers that are pure sweepers isn't good. You may want to add some defense to your team, even if it is a revenge team. I also see that you abuse choice items. You will have a hard time switching. If your opponent sends out something that resists your move, you'll get locked with a move, you'll have to switch, and your pokemon won't afford taking that much hits. Hail/Sandstorm will hurt you a lot, along with spikes and SR due to the fact you lack leftovers and any other way of recovery. Almost nothing can safely switch to ground and fighting types moves. You should try getting in some walls, or at least make some of your pokemon more defensive.
As a starter, you might go with an agility set, or just make weavile your lead. You SHOULD change electivire's nature to lonely/naughty if you're using thunderbolt. Give it some evs in SP.att also, cause it's your only STAB move. You might want to change dugtrio to donphan, as it has Rapid Spin, SR, and quite good attack. It will also help you take some physical attacks better. If you want to keep dugtrio, you might want to change sucker punch to night slash unless you can predict your opponents moves. It is better to go with night slash though, cause with choice scarf you'll be capable of outspeeding almost anything. Get yourself something that can hit using sp. atts. Having 5 physical pokemon means you'll have a hard time in beating physical walls, such as skarmory and foretress. You should also consider getting something that can take special damage. Usually, blissey is the ultimate choice. I suggest switching dugtrio with any other pokemon, since all what it does can be done by some other pokemon in your team.

Hope this helped you, have a nice day ;)

thanks for the advice guys. the nature on electivivre was a good catch, and i'll trial using a screen deoxys with a gyrados. I'm actually pretty happy with dugtrio at the moment, but advice on anything else would be good.
