I wanted to make a set that would use my favorite pokemon, Offfensive Swords Dance Scizor, in important part of the team. Since even after the SD, scizors Bullet Punch can only 2KO most of the metagame, I decided that my other pokemon would mearly need to dent my opponent in order to facilitate a Scizor Sweep. Pictures will be added as soon as
I figure out how to add them.
Machamp@ Lum Berry
240 HP, 248 ATK, 18 SPD, 4 SPE Adamant
No Guard
Dynamic Punch
Ice Punch
Payback
Bullet Punch
Since my team is based around getting an opponents health into ko range for scizor, I dediced an attacking lead would be my best choice, and Machamp is a beast at that. Ice Punch allows me to take out some Counters for my other pokemon, like Gliscor, while Payback lets me hit Psychics and ghosts. Bullet Punch allows me to pick off anyone who somehow survived a Dynamic Punch. Of course, even with the bulky EV's, strong psychic and flying attacks (say, from a Reinucleus) will wreck him. so I needed someone who resists those.
Tyranitar @Air Balloon
252 HP, 180 SPA, 76 SPD Sassy
Crunch
Stealth rock
Ice Beam
Fire Blast
Machamp and Tyranitar compliment eachother suprisingly well, With machamp taking out things like Gliscor and Garchomp, who would KO tyranitar with STAB SE Earthquake, While Tyranitar can KO Reinucleus and resist flying type moves like... um... an Archeops' Acrobatics? Anyways, Scizor Will love the residual damage provided by sandstorm and stealth rock, and Tyranitar will resist those fire type attacks that Scizor gets a lot of. An Air Balloon is being run to help me with ground types like Landorous. The bulky set for Tyranitar will keep it from doing a lot of damage, but the most important thing that Tyranitar is doing for me is residual damage and Steel slaughter.
Darmanitan@ Choice Band
4 HP, 252 ATK, 252 SPE, Adamant
Flare Blitz
Rock Slide
U-Turn
Earthquake
Earthquake and rock slide are there, only to hit things that resist Flare Blitz, because after all, a 120 BP STAB Banded Sheer Force Boosted attack, coming from an attack stat of 416, will hurt anything but Flash Fire poke's. U-Turn will allow me to keep up momentum while still doing good damage. This guy would be my main sweeper if he didnt die rediculously fast, but again, he doesnt need to live that long, only enough to dent a couple of pokemon.
So far water types have been a pain for me, so I needed a counter towards those.
Rotom-Wash@ Leftovers
128 HP, 252 SPA, 128 SPE, Modest
Thunder-Bolt
Hydro-Pump
Thunder-Wave
Reflect
With GenV, Rotom-W is finally getting some use, which kinda makes me sad since it now compleatly outclasses Lanturn, but oh well. Any Water type that decides to come in will die to Rotoms Thunder Bolts, while Hydro Pump helps again with those pesky Fire types that love to ruin Scizors fun. Im running Thunder Wave over Will-O-wisp to help scizor outspeed things and KO with Bug Bites aand Super Powers, and also because reflect will help more with physical bulk than a WoW will anyways.
Garchomp@ Choice Scarf
4 HP, 252 ATK, 252 SPE, Jolly
Outrage
Earthquake
Aquatail
Dragon Claw
With Scizor needing time to set up to be good, he is not the revenge killer the CB version is. Scarfchomp Is my last ditch attacking pokemon before I bring in Scizor to pick everybody off. Being a Revenge Killer, Dragon claw will probrably get more used than outrage. By the time Garchomp is sent out, all steel types should be dead anyways, so ground types are more important to get rid of with Aqua Tail. Earthquake is to take out the last of the fire types.
With all of this done to set up Scizor, there is absolutly no way that he can fail. Remember how at the advent of Platinum, everybody was useing SD Scizor? That was the most fun I had during DPPt, so I wanted to bring that back
Scizor@ Life Orb
4 HP, 252 ATK, 252 SPE, Adamant
Bullet Punch
Bug Bite
Super Power
Swords Dance
Reflect should still be up from Rotom by the time i send in Scizor, and all the Fire Types should be gone, allowing for an easy SD. Its the end game, so all of my opponents pokes should be around 1/2 to 1/4 health, easy picking for BP. In the event that the is still a Steel type, Super power. Bug Bite is my most powerfull move, so If I can outspeed (which should be easy due to Rotoms T-Wave) I use that.
So, the roles on my team:
Machamp: Lead
Tyranitar: Wall, set up residuial damage, Fire Blast Steels
Darmanitan: Used amazing attack stat to bring everything down to low health
Rotom-Wash: Set up reflect and T-wave, get rid of water types and ground types
Garchomp: Revenge killer
Scizor: Late game Cleaner, being Awsome
I figure out how to add them.
