ORAS OU The power of Medicham ( Mega medicham team OU)

Hi everyone, today I want to show you my new team around one of my favourite Megas: Mega Medicham. I am not a very strong battler, becuase I have always difficult to bulid a strong team, so this time I decided to post my last team on this forum, hoping that I may receive helpful advice.
So, first of all the team building process:
medicham-mega.png
bisharp.png

First, the core M-medicham & Bisharp with pursuit for the ghost types, because medicham can't touch them
landorus-therian.png

I was worried about Talonflame because it was a big threat for the two pokemon I chose, so I decided to go for Landorus T, that , as you will see, can put also the rocks
hydreigon.png

Then, I wanted a strong special attacker that can destroy special walls and so i went for Hydreigon
gardevoir.png

But now I was too weak to fighting types and olso I wanted a pokemon immune to dragons, so i chose gardevoir
suicune.png

In the end, I didn't know how to put in, so I decided to put my suicune, so it can take care of upcoming lando or garchomp

Now the team in depth:
medicham-mega.gif

Medicham-Mega @ Medichamite
Ability: Pure Power
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Fake Out
- High Jump Kick
- Thunder Punch
- Zen Headbutt
There it is, the star of the team and olso a powerful physical wall breaker thanks to its ability. It can also be a lead, due to its fake out, or he can handle adamant Mega Kanga and kill him with High Jump Kick, as long as it don't miss. Thunder punch is for the bulky water types that can come in and Zen headbutt is a great stab moves, that can hit hard.
bisharp.gif

Bisharp @ Black Glasses
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 Atk / 52 SpD / 204 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Knock Off
- Iron Head
- Pursuit
- Sucker Punch
Next, there is my pursuit trapper, that can also handle ghost types, like gengar, or the upcoming latios and latias. It has adamant nature and holds black glasses son that it can hit harder with its stab moves, like knock off, pursuit and sucker punch, a great priority moves for bisharp againts latios. Also it can counter a bit fairy types and kill them with iron head.
landorus-therian.gif

Landorus-Therian @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 248 HP / 172 Def / 88 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge
So, there is my Landorus Therian, a perfect counter for fire and flying types, such as talonflame. I mad him a bulky defensive pokemon, so that it can resist many attacks and put rocks in the field and olso can do massive damage with his EQ or help medicham to come in thanks to U-turn.
hydreigon.gif

Hydreigon @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Dark Pulse
- Fire Blast
- U-turn
Next there is hydreigon, the special wall breaker and revenge killer of the team. I put on it the choice scarf so he can outspeed more offensive pokemon. With a modest nature he can OHKO the upcoming mega metagross with its dark poulse. Draco meteor is the most powerful move it has and fire blast is for the upcoming steel types, like scizor or ferrothorn.
gardevoir.gif

Gardevoir @ Choice Specs
Ability: Trace
EVs: 68 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 180 Spe
Modest Nature
- Moonblast
- Psyshock
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
So, I was very weak to fighting and I put in the team a choice specs gardevoir with max SpA and modest nature so it can ben another powerful wallbreaker. I am a little insicure about this gardevoir, because I am worried to have waste a spot in the team but it can be very usefull, but I tried it very few times. I hope you can hel me
suicune.gif

Suicune @ Chesto Berry
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 112 HP / 252 SpA / 144 Spe
Modest Nature
- Rest
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Calm Mind
And last but not least, Suicune, my bulky special attacker and counter for garchomp and landorus thanks to its powerfull ice beam, boosted sometimes by calm mind. I gave it a chesto berry and rest so that it can restore its HP when it's in difficult. And scald is the stab move it has, also for burning the physical attacker that can come in.

So there is it, I tried this team and I got a positive number of wins, but I notice that M-venusaur is a HUGE threat for my team, because it can put my team to sleep and easily destroy it.
I hope you can help me improve my team, and I hope I made everything alright with this RTM :)

Okay here we go

This is a nice try at building a team around a successful core of XY old times:medi-sharp. However i feel like there is room for improvement.
First of all you said you are mega venu weak and that's true; to fix that i would suggest to replace hydreigon with nasty plot hp flying thundurus as it acts as a lure and gets rid of venusaur incredibly easily. Furthermore it is an answer to some threatening mons like keldeo and birds and is still a powerfull special wallbreaker.
The second change you need imo is to take out gardevoir that unfortunately is pretty much unviable in OU; since you want a fight resist and a dragon immunity (so a fairy type basically) CM clefable is a good add because it does the job more reliably and makes another win condition for your team.
Lastly, i think that a bulky water in the last spot is a good idea, however suicune with that set is not ideal imo. Chesto-rest suicune gets worn down really easily while usually needing some turns of boosting to deal solid damage. I would suggest a more supportive option like slowbro that helps lando-t with physical attackers, checks keldeo which is extremely painful, has reliable recovery and also supports the offensive mons quite well by forming a twave core with clefable.

hydreigon-->thundurus
Thundurus (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Flying]
- Grass Knot
- Nasty Plot

I prefer grass knot over focus blast because bulky grounds are annoying for you, both are good tho. LO can be run, but lefties are good for lomgevity also because you lack hazard control

Gardevoir-->clefable
Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Soft-Boiled
- Moonblast
- Thunder Wave

Standard calm mind set, twave cripples many switch-ins like gengar, tran, mega venusaur, mega metagross

Slowbro @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Psyshock
- Slack Off
- Thunder Wave

Standard af set

These are my suggestions, hope i was helpful :)

Thanks a lot silver97, for clefable and slowbro I will defintively try them, because they looks great, but for thundurus I may not be able to get it in the game because I own OR, so my question is: is tornadus ( therian or not) good as thundurus?

Hi Sackboy, nice team there, I've some suggestions to hopefully make it better!

On Medicham Bullet Punch over Thunder Punch, your team as an huge Diancie weakness, and BPunch makes Medicham a solid revengekiller to it, and the priority can be helpful in many situation. Also I'd try Adamant Nature instead of Jolly so you'll increase your damage output, and there isn't a really difference.
medicham.gif

Medicham-Mega @ Medichamite
Ability: Pure Power
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Fake Out
- High Jump Kick
- Bullet Punch
- Zen Headbutt
Assault Vest over Black Glasses on Bisharp, this will help him to check things like Latwins of fairies. Change the spread to: 160 HP / 252 Atk / 96 Spe, the speed will allow Bisharp to outspeed max speed Azumarill, while the bulk will let him take hits with more ease.
bisharp.gif

Bisharp @ Assault Vest
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 160 HP / 252 Atk / 96 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Knock Off
- Iron Head
- Pursuit
- Sucker Punch
Garchomp over Landorus-T will allow you to check the same threats Lando checks with more ease, giving them a lot of residual damage, it also checks Bisharp, Lopunny, and Scizor better than Lando-T, as they give you some trouble.
garchomp.gif

Garchomp @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 248 HP / 164 Def / 96 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Dragon Tail
- Earthquake
- Fire Blast
As silver97 suggested, Clefable over Gardevoir will give you a better wall and a nice win condition, and normal Gardevoir isn't very viable in OU. The problem is that the set he gave you still makes Thundurus weak, so try a spread of 252 HP / 172 Def / 84 SpD alongside a Calm Nature, so you avoid the 2HKO from Thundurus' Thunderbolt. Also Flamethrower over Thunder Wave is an option you can try, because even if T-Wave cripples some switchins, Flamethrower let you hit things like Ferrothorn, Scizor, SpDef Skamory, AV Bisharp.
clefable.gif

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 172 Def / 84 SpD
Calm Nature
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Soft-Boiled
- Flamethrower
On Hydreigon Timid Nature over Modest, Modest gives you more power, but it makes you slower than scarf landorus.
hydreigon.gif

Hydreigon @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Dark Pulse
- Fire Blast
- U-turn
On Suicune try a more standard set of Scald | Rest | Calm Mind | Roar / Sleep Talk with an EVs spread of 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe and a Bold Nature. On the moveset Roar is an option to prevent Manaphy to setup in front of you, while Sleep Talk makes you less passive during the Rest sleep turns.
suicune.gif

Suicune @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Rest
- Scald
- Sleep Talk / Roar

I hope this helped you, good luck with the team n__n!

Thanks a lot silver97, for clefable and slowbro I will defintively try them, because they looks great, but for thundurus I may not be able to get it in the game because I own OR, so my question is: is tornadus ( therian or not) good as thundurus?
AV Tornt is a check to Venusaur and Keldeo as well, it doesn't beat birds btw.

Tornadus-Therian @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 96 HP / 160 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hurricane
- Heat Wave
- Knock Off
- U-turn

So for now I decided to go for: Slowbro, the set silver97 suggest, then on Hydreigon I put the timid nature as fran17 said and on Bisharp I will try the assult vest. For the last pokemon I chose is Togekiss with this set:
togekiss.gif

Togekiss @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 248 HP / 76 Def / 8 SpD / 176 Spe
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Air Slash
- Baton Pass
- Roost

Is it ok on your opinion? Because Clefable is good but I can't get Soft-Boiled in any way in the game

Yeah you can just go for moonlight>soft-boiled if you want it in-game, because clefable is way more useful than togekiss in many situations.
About tornadus, it's true that just as thundy it checks venusaur and keldeo, but the difference is that venusaur will often switch out in front of torn, while it will likely stay in against thundy not expecting a hp flying and allowing thundurus to lure and kill it with ease

But if I make eggs with a ditto and a soft boiled clefable, the pokemons will have soft boiled too? I thinks it's unlikely but I don't know
