- Offensive Maushold aims to soften up foes or take surprising KOs with Technician Population Bomb while also providing redirection and disruption support.
- Population Bomb allows Maushold to deal devastating damage, especially with ten hits, which is enough to remove threats such as Dragonite. Taunt shuts down Trick Room setters like Porygon2 and opposing support Pokemon like Amoonguss.
- Tera Ghost makes Maushold immune to Close Combat from Sneasler, Fake Out from Incineroar, and Extreme Speed from Dragonite. Tera Grass grants Maushold an immunity to Spore and Rage Powder. Tera Grass also provides useful resistances to Water- and Electric-type attacks such as Wave Crash from Basculegion and Electro Shot from Archaludon.
- Wide Lens is used to increase the accuracy of Population Bomb, greatly increasing the chance of landing ten hits.
- While this set is capable of dealing high damage, it is reliant on landing enough Population Bomb hits to take out or weaken threats. This set lacks defensive investment, so it is not expected to be able to redirect attacks throughout the battle.

[SET COMMENTS]
- As a bulky support Pokemon, Maushold aims to redirect attacks for its partners as well as disrupt its foes. Maushold additionally has Friend Guard, increasing the survivability of its allies.
- Beat Up is used to increase the power of Rage Fist from a partner Annihilape and grant Defense boosts to a partner Archaludon with Stamina; it can also be used to break Focus Sashes. Taunt disrupts Trick Room setters and opposing support Pokemon like Porygon2 and Electabuzz.
- Tera Ghost makes Maushold immune to Close Combat from Sneasler, Fake Out from Incineroar, and Extreme Speed from Dragonite. Tera Fairy turns Maushold's weakness to Close Combat into a resistance and provides an immunity to Outrage from Dragonite. Tera Fairy is also a great defensive typing into the metagame.
- Safety Goggles grants Maushold an immunity to Spore and Rage Powder.
- This Maushold set is capable of taking multiple attacks; however, it is easily disrupted by Taunt, forcing Maushold to be switched out to remove the effect. The set is also very passive and deals very low damage.

Teambuilding
============
- Maushold can support various teams. It is most commonly used on rain and balance teams featuring Annihilape.
- On rain teams, Maushold uses Beat Up to assist Archaludon in gaining Defense boosts from Stamina as well as increasing the damage of Rage Fist from Annihilape. It also provides redirection, allowing Annihilape to set up further with Bulk Up and other partners such as Basculegion-M to attack safely.
- On balance teams, Maushold provides the same support to Annihilape and additionally supports partners such as Gholdengo and Kingambit with redirection, allowing them to safely set up with Nasty Plot and Swords Dance, respectively.
- Maushold is threatened by Fighting-types such as Sneasler. Partners such as Annihilape and Gholdengo are difficult for Sneasler to KO and can easily KO Sneasler in return. Maushold is also walled by Ghost-types like Gholdengo. Incineroar can comfortably survive attacks from Gholdengo and threaten it with Knock Off. Taunt easily disrupts Maushold, requiring Maushold to switch out to remove the effect.
Strategy Comments
============
- Maushold performs best when it redirects attacks and enabling its partners to set up safely and sweep. Leading Maushold is often a great choice, allowing its partners to take early-game KOs.
- Maushold can be used flexibly. Follow Me is vital for granting its partner a turn to safely set up or take a KO at any point during the game, and the offensive set can sometimes deal just enough damage to take a surprising KO on a big opposing threat.
- Maushold is easily disrupted by Taunt, so it needs to Taunt the opposing support Pokemon itself or rely on its partners to take out opposing Taunt users. Offensive Maushold is additionally threatened by Rocky Helmet and Rough Skin, both of which KO it after it has used Population Bomb.
