The Hangover - One of the Best

My gosh, This move is a MUST see. So many funny parts throughout the entire movie. It was definetly , line for line, the funniest movie I have ever seen!!

5/5

On the other hand, a week after seeing this movie I saw Year One, don't see it. I never ever ever ever use these terms but in this case I think it can apply... this movie was ... "Epic Fail".

.003/5

Year One definitely wasn't "Epic Fail". It was pretty funny, at the very least a 3/5 in my opinion.

Hangover was easily the funniest movie I have ever seen. It gets better and better each time you see it also. I am seeing it for the third time today.

First off, have you seen The Hangover? Secondly, what exactly made Year One... "pretty funny"? I mean once you watch the previews to the movie you pretty much know every "funny" part in the movie. The movie sucked, imo. and thats that.

I've seen The Hangover twice so far and will continue to see it anytime the offer is available.

If you want to post something in the Entertainment Reviews section, then actually post a REVIEW or something more than HEH EPICCCC BADITUDE!! I am not saying this to try to mini-mod, but because I have been looking for something eloquent to convince me to watch this movie, not what you briefly ejaculated out here.

There are several things that make this movie stand head and shoulders above other ho-hum comedies. First of all, the ensemble cast is fantastic. Even the actors with smaller roles (Bartha for example) gave memorable performances. Hangover was also a tad more complex than normal comedies; it's told in a (somewhat) circle plot, and there are various plots that come together throughout the movie. The jokes are also spot on in delivery and form; very few of them are superfluous too (by that I mean a lot of the jokes come back later in the movie and are even funnier).

I think it really says something about the movie/actors that despite the movie being absolutely hilarious, you can't quote anything without seeming like a jackass x)

there's also a tiger and mike tyson.

I like movies that I and others can quote to the point where you hear the same quote for the 25357 time and you want to punch the person in the face. This is one of those movies.

But I agree with Jimbo, the cast selection for the movie was spot on

Jesus christ, this. Stop posting shit like this in entertainment. This is NOT a review

I saw the movie a week ago or so with some friends, it was good but i'm surprised at how everyone is saying its great, to me it was just another comedy that you go to when its one of the only comedies in theatres. Although the pictures at the end were hilarious.

Haven't seen the hangover, but Year One was... fairly entertaining at some points, but I had a hard time paying attention during most of it, and it didn't have anything to it other than being kinda funny, I LIKE MY COMEDIES WITH A TOUCH OF EMOTION >:I

Well I suppose I did smile once when it fully sunk in that I was staring at Mike Tyson during that one scene in the hotel, but other than that the movie was a total blart imo.

I saw it today, I loved it (mainly cause of the character of Alan :) ), but yeah its one of those movies that you'll either love or hate, no in between really. Its wacky sense of humour won't appeal to some (see: Bayou) but it really hit home with myself, Jimbo and Exclamation.

EDIT:

I saw this with a girl today but I was kind of preoccupied (;)) and didn't really pay any attention at all, which is kind of shame because I had really been looking forward to seeing it. I'll hopefully go again sometime this week and actually watch the movie this time. I did like Andy from the office though... don't know the actor's name but he is a funny guy and he even got his false tooth removed to play the part!

I made that mistake with Slumdog Millionaire, don't see great movies with chicks cause then you'll end up missing out on a lot, let them pick the movie instead :)

Excellent film, though i thought the chinese guy slightly ruined it towards the end. My favourite thing about the film was the fact i didnt recognise most of the actors and yet they were still funny this is extremely refreshing from an American movie.

My favourite characters where Allan and Doug's father in law. The former was excellent in his randomness whilst the latter was part of that rare breed of physical comedy - utterly hilarious.

I was one of those that loved this movie, but my favorite character wasn't the token weirdo Alan, it was Stu (Ed Helms from the Daily Show, but now in the American Office, as somebody mentioned above me). I just thought it was a much more subtle and impressive comedy performance from him, really convincing as the wild at heart everyman pulled down by the submissive grasp of his controlling fiancee. The ending was especially satisfying.

Oh and Jeffrey Tambor was excellent as always, though he didn't get much screentime at all.

Hm, my friend wanted to see this but I thought it looked stupid. Some other friends saw it and thought it was amazing. I guess I should check it out sometime.

Ahhh I was wondering why Jade was so familiar looking and then I did my routine "IMDB after I come home" thing and realized she's Dr. Molly Clock from Scrubs who was my favourite character, though she had such few episodes =(

Great movie. Really thought it looked stupid from the trailer but all my friends who'd seen it thought it was great so I decided to bite the bullet. Liked it way better than the last two comedies I saw in theatres (Tropic Thunder and I Love You Man). Usually I prefer comedies at home but glad I caught this one in theatres.

I decided to forego The Hangover because it looked like another pot-shot at profit just like most other comedies these days, but I've been hearing so much good stuff about it. Should I see it?

Chrunchatize Me, this movie was one of my favorites (blows Bruno out of the water) to come out of 2009. I'd call it a mix between Lucky Number Sleven and Superbad.
