Do you suffer embarrassing defeats to hyper offense?
Are you sufffering from a brain tumor and somehow still lost to Zamzenta recently?
Tired of seeing Gliscor on the goddamn field of play?
Suffering from erectile dysfunction?

Well, I have the Cure for you!

Dr. Garg

1741468441833.png

Dr. Garg (Garganacl) @ Leftovers
Ability: Purifying Salt
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 HP / 52 Def / 204 SpD
Careful Nature
- Salt Cure
- Stealth Rock
- Protect
- Recover

Dr. Garg is noted by patients as being humorless and intimidating. However, his serious demeanor is a just a reflection of how intensely he takes care of each and every one of his patients. Dr Garg spent many sleepless nights tinkering in the lab, doing overtime researching a cure to treat all of his patient’s ailments. He was never able to get a good night’s rest knowing that while he relaxed someone was in pain anyway. He vowed to make sure they would never have to be in pain again.

Finally, Dr. Garg stumbled across a method capable of curing all of his patients for good. The Salt Cure. The Salt Cure is an innovative technique using the Canadian healthcare approach to depression treatment and Veteran healthcare, Death! The Salt Cure is guaranteed to put the afflicted patient of their misery in 16 turns or less!

The forefront expert of MAID, it is recommended to keep Dr. Garg as long as possible on the field spreading the cure to your opponents pokemon. Protect and recover keep the doctor safe as the patients lash out in fits of insanity. This team is built around supporting the doctor so he can stay in as long as possible to cure as many pokemon as possible. When the doctor is in there is very little that can be done to stop his cures.

Using the tera fairy in most games, Dr. Garg can greatly expand the pokemon he can cure. Fairy types are forced out by very little currently. Dr. Garg can also keep up stealth rocks against great tusk, iron treads, corviknight and others. The EV spread is calculated to live a +2 tera water ivy cudgel from the virus known as ogerpon. Salt cure and protect allow the doctor to take on the virus quite well.

Salt curing dragonite and raging bolt before either are capable of getting +a billion is a highly recommended course of treatment.

Nurse

1741468491975.png

Nurse (Weezing-Galar) (F) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Neutralizing Gas
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Will-O-Wisp
- Strange Steam
- Defog
- Pain Split

Nurse is Dr.Garg’s the coworker who has been around the doctor the longest and his most trusted teammate. She always admired the doctor’s relentless commitment his patients. Whenever Dr. Garg passed out at 4 am at the lab looking over data sheets, she was there to put a blanket over him.

Nurse works in perfect synergy with Dr.Garg to make his cures more effective. The few pokemon capable of resisting Dr. Garg’s cures include the variant of cancer known as gliscor and regenerative cancer clumps. The nurse neutralizes these threats by deactivating the cancer’s regenerative abilities including toxapex, slowking galar, and hydrapple.

Sometimes the order of the natural world sends a horribly malformed individual attempting to stall the doctor’s curing efforts. Unfortunately, being a stall player is a terminal illness and the only known cure is DEATH. Nurse can painlessly and quickly administer this relief to the suffering, insane individual by removing the cancer of gliscor from the team. Nurse puts the insane, cancer ridden individual who believes that toxic waste is beneficial to consume rather than deadly out of their delusions by administering neutralizing gas which makes the unfortunate soul slowly put out of their misery by their own toxic.

Nurse combats misinformative, scam Eastern medicine from halting Dr. Garg’s work. When Hisuian Samurott or Ting Lu come on the field and start throwing around rhino horns and elephant tusks claiming they cure Lou Gehrig’s disease, Nurse swiftly removes the spiky objects with a defog.

Nurse is all around fantastic and an underappreciated member of the team. Nurse can remove hazards on gholdnego. Burn and fog on Lu and Hammurott. Burn opposing Garganacl’s showing them who the real doctor is.

Maximum defense is appreciated to better take on supereffective hits and burn the offender such as kingambit, roaring moon, and ting lu. Black Sludge is chosen to ruin trick pokemon and Nurse essentially never needs the tera.

Plague Doctor

1741468720470.png

Plague Doctor (Corviknight) (M) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Pressure
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Brave Bird
- Body Press
- Roost
- Iron Defense

With the rise of the antivax movement, diseases thought to be extinct since the middle ages are making a comeback. The modern medical establishment is at a loss of how to combat these epidemics, even Dr. Garg himself is at a loss. So the doctor reached out and recruited a specialist.

The Plague Doctor soothes his patients with a soft warm voice, to put them at ease after being unsettled by his traditional mask. A quiet, pious, devout Catholic, Plague Doctor says a prayer before every treatment, believing that the Lord will give him strength to make his patients better.

The dancing disease epidemic is a particular disease very threatening to the current OU population, and Dr. Garg and Nurse are unequipped to handle it by themselves. Luckily Plague Doctor knows the perfect method to treat the disease. When Kingambit, roaring moon, certain dragonite’s begin busting moves and getting stronger, the Plague Doctor knows the perfect method to halt the disease.

Plague Doctor injects 50cc’s of iron defense and begins slamming his body against the afflicted individual hoping to make them bleed and cough up blood to balance their humors. While it might seem “barbaric” and “old-fashioned” Plague Doctor boasts a 99% success rate in treating the dancing disease while only resulting in a risky but reasonable 99% mortality rate.

Plague Doctor is maximum defense to handle the dancing disease better. Rocky helmet is preferred, especially important against the breakdancer kingambit. Brave bird takes tare of the ever increasing tera ghost epidemic, Plague Doctor also moonlights as an exorcist for his side hustle.

Specialist

1741468879776.png

Specialist (Dragapult) (M) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Infiltrator
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Dragon Darts
- Hex
- U-turn

When things get a bit dicey sometimes Dr. Garg has to call his good buddy the Specialist.

Considered frothingly insane by most. Muttering curses directed at everybody and everything under his breath. Specialist is not liked by many people. However, Dr. Garg sees through him. Specialist gets the jobs done that no one else wants to do. When Specialist was laughing maniacally at a burning village of orphans that he set fire to, Dr. Garg put his hand on his shoulder. Dr. Garg knew that it was a coping mechanism to get through his taxing but extremely important job. After all if Specialist wasn’t there to quarantine and immolate those orphans, then the Chicken Pox could have spread to other towns! It had to be done.

Specialist is a pokemon to bring out when the doctor is struggling to make progress or when there is a threat on the field that only the specialist can take care of. Specialist is also a tool to use to block rapid spin and keep up hazards when the time is right.

Specialist can quickly administer euthanasia to teams especially after Dr. Garg has gone through and done a lot of chip.

The will-o-wisp hex dragon darts uturn set is notably tough to deal with for many teams. Burning would be checks, making them take residual damage then uturning on them to wear them down. Casting his hexes for huge damage or going for the dragon darts depending on the opponent. The greatest hurdle for Specialist would be opposing garganacl’s however, nurse makes those not too big of an issue.

Max attack tera dragon is preferred to do more damage to the checks to Specialist. Such as the Eastern wizard Ting Lu.

Trudeau-king
1741468965681.png

Trudeau-king (Slowking-Galar) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 248 HP / 84 SpA / 176 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Future Sight
- Sludge Bomb
- Flamethrower
- Psychic Noise

Of course, Dr. Garg’s innovations in the field of medicine would be for naught under a regressive regime where MAID is banned. Trudeau-king comes in to fund Dr. Garg’s research and healing efforts.

Trudeau-king is the team’s answer to many special disease variants. When tera’d glowking can handle the threat to this team that is np dual stab recover gholdengo, a billionaire working tirelessly to end the team’s efforts of curing diseases for good, because he makes millions of dollars from treating patients with SSRI’s rather than killing them. A horrifying individual. Trudeau-king is unrealiable but the answer to raging bolt with the doctor’s cure doing damage to it while Trudeau-king stalls.

This team originally had boots Trudeau-king but the assault vest put the team of medical professionals over the edge and acknowledged as the best in the world, because without the vest, Iron Moth easily burns down the hospital and gholdnego shuts the team down and continues his for profit healthcare activities. This could not stand, so Trudeau-king gave a psychic speech calling Iron Moth a Nazi and froze and repossessed gholdengo’s assets.

Trudeau-king provides great value having regenerator on a bulkier team. Trudeau-king handles special kyurems very well. His ability to destroy things in the future is a great boon combined with the doctor’s salt cure, the specialist’s attacks, or the Acupuncturist’s attacks. Sludge bomb flamethrower is fantastic coverage that can punish a switch with a poison or a super effective hit on gambit or gholdnego.

EV's are to live 2 raging bolt attacks while doing good damage to gholdengo
+1 252+ SpA Protosynthesis Raging Bolt Thunderbolt vs. 252 HP / 174+ SpD Assault Vest Slowking-Galar: 157-186 (39.8 - 47.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
84 SpA Slowking-Galar Flamethrower vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Gholdengo: 166-196 (43.9 - 51.8%) -- 69.5% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock
Acupuncturist

1741469124784.png

Acupuncturist (Samurott-Hisui) (F) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Sharpness
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Ceaseless Edge
- Razor Shell
- Flip Turn
- Knock Off

Acupuncturist is an authoritative, caring individual. Some patients are put at ease knowing that their Acupuncturist knows what they are doing and is doing everything she can to do it right, others are put off calling her bossy.

Many Eastern medicine practitioners are written off by Dr. Garg and the medical establishment as snake oil selling scammers. However, acupressure techniques have studies proving their efficacy. Dr. Garg calls her one of the good ones.

Acupuncturist can come in on resisted attacks and administer her needles to patients that need treatment. Particularly effective against gholdengo whose affluenza is swiftly cured with a pressure needle directly applied to the cerebral cortex. Great Tusk suffers from extreme delusions of grandeur, even calling himself Great, he believes he is so Great that he is a switchin to her. Apply a large razor needle directly above the eye socket and hammer it in to cure the pokemon of its fits of hallucinations.

The spikes can be invaluable to get up with a spinblocker in Specialist and Dr.Garg who easily takes advantage of defoggers. Her moves are chosen to do as much damage as possible and wear down checks like corv and skarm over time by flipping into Specialist who forces those pokemon out. Currently, Acupuncturist is the supreme spiker, I am seeing too many hatterene’s and teams well equipped for ting lu.

Her stylish scarf gives her a better speed tier, giving her more opportunities to use her needles. It comes at very little cost, she wants to come in do one or two things then leave almost every time.

Threats

:Gholdengo: Gholdengo- the billionaire can wear down Trudeau-king and eventually punch through with a tera fairy to render Acupuncturist feckless against him. Possibly look into saving tera for Trudeau-king if able and it should be fine.

:Primarina: Sub Cmer’s- without sub they have to deal with salt cure and a poison from Trudeau-king sludge bomb. With it they are safe from both. It entirely depends on the situation. Many times I go Trudeau-king and wear it down, then Plague doctor comes out and finishes the pokemon off as it outspeeds primirana and hattrene.

:gholdengo: Covert Cloak- in general this is a very tough matchup. Luckily it is very rare. Dr. Garg becomes a passive wall in these games rather than the star of the show so rely on Acupuncturist and Specialist to make progress.

:raging bolt: Raging Bolt- Salt cure with Dr. Garg first then sack and play around as needed. The team should be able to handle ho well enough even missing a few.

:kingambit: Fast glasses kingambit- if it is last mon and you have preserved nurse’s hp, nurse ignores supreme overlord so can take a hit and will o wisp it.

:walking wake: Sun- absolutely must tera Trudeau-king

Hi, thanks so much for sharing a #1 team with the public, and the descriptions were really engaging and funny, I had a good laugh!

I was opening a new hospital branch on the ladder (fresh alt) but at 1300 my hospital faced a major issue with a TERA FIRE Breakdancer Gambit ransacking the hospital and putting my nurses and Dr Garg in danger. The Specialist couldn't burn it due to the TERA FIRE. I quickly dispatched the plague doctor to get rid of the breakdancer, but a +2 Gambit Kowtow Cleave did 70% onto my poor plague doctor who then folded before it could administer the injection. Then, he raided the hospital and we lost the day's profits.

Another new dangerous strain of virus (still at 1300 Ladder) was discovered by my hospital staff with a Swords Dance Ceruledge with the following abomination set: Bitter Blade, SD, Poltergeist, Close Combat. My hospital staff was not able to handle this extremely virulent strain before Dr Garg could get to the scene in time, as a +2/+2 Ceruledge infected my hospital staff for all Super Effective Damage, causing me to waste another day's profits in deep cleaning costs.

Any advice for a new hospital manager? Thanks.

Ceruledge might be suffering from the dancing disease. However, it is still on fire. How do you cure fire? With fire. Call the Specialist before it gets out of hand. The Specialist can stop the infection with a double injection of tera dragon darts. Do not treat the ceruledge with any other physcial attacks, it becomes stronger and much harder to cure after taking nonlethal damage.

Unfortunately, against the Tera Fire Breakdancer there is little to be done. Scientists are still working day and night to find an answer to every strain of Kingambit, but it is futile. A new variant seems to pop up every time we believe that it is finally under control. We can only pray for the Plague Doctor's truimph with hopefully a tera fight to keep him in the fight. Or holdout hope that Acupuncturist has her full energy do a double kneecap removal surgery with razor shell to stop the mad dancing king.

Hello Chief Hospital CEO,

Pleased to share that my new hospital has managed to climb to 1500 milestone on the ladder. As a new hospital manager I found it more difficult than I expected, especially in the slums of low ladder where trainers bring all sorts of unknown and mutated diseases that were not in the medical books; these diseases are highly contagious and spread fast, overwhelming the hospital often. Maybe it is a skill issue on my part, as I had no prior hospital management experience, so would wish for your advice on the following:

Some common virus mutations found and other pests I had trouble dealing with:

The Ogerpon-W monkey likes sneaking into the doctor's room after Doctor Garg is done with his appointment with a patient, and scares everyone out of the room. Usually they would have to call in the Nurse or the Plague Doctor to chase it out of the hospital, but some monkeys also have the dangerous Dancing mutation, which can be particularly troublesome as the team does not have a counter, and Ivy Cudgel does not trigger Rocky Helmet on Plague Doctor. How do you best deal with this monkey, especially the dangerous Dancing mutation?

Zamazenta virus IDBP with ROAR MUTATION - My usual practice for administering cure to the Zamazenta virus is to slam it with the Plague Doctor as recommended in the Hospital Handbook. Sometimes, it's also helpful to employ the Specialist to burn and exorcise it. However, this Roar Mutation was immune to the Iron Defense Vaccine from the Plague Doctor, and then proceeded to wipe out the hospital staff. How would you deal with this?

Hatterine Calm Mind PSYSHOCK COVERT CLOAK MUTATION - even though it is slow, using Psyshock can let it win the war against Trudeau-King.

Araquanid Spider infestation on Offensive teams - Dirty spiders being found in the hospital, as it is not a disease I could not find a resource for it in the Hospital Handbook, but it brings other dangerous pathogens and diseases. What is your standard procedure for deep cleaning the hospital from a spider infestation and its related diseases?

Iron Moth (Speed Booster) TERA GROUND MUTATION - first time seeing this out of 1000 games on the ladder (including other teams), took out Trudeau King with +1 SpA Tera Ground. How would you deal with this shocking virus mutation, or would it be considered a lost cause?

Dragonite Dancing ENCORE TERA FIRE MUTATION - Literally from the foreign enemy nations' biohazard labs itself; from what I can see it's made to destroy hospitals. Dancing Dragon supervirus is immune to all antibiotics and medicines, and the hospital needed to be immediately evacuated and shut down for the day.

Thanks a lot in advance,
Sincerely from a new aspiring hospital manager.

The monkey pox should not be too much of an issue. Every member of the medical staff can do major work curing the monkey pox. If a switch has to be made the recommended treatment is with the specialist or Dr. Garg. Risks must be taken to cure the dancing monkey pox.

The Dog can always be given a physical by Fairy Dr. Garg to see what the strain it has is. Once you have compiled enough info on what the dog has, you can adjust the treatment plan accordingly. For instance Dr. Garg easily cures that mutation.

Cloak hatterene is an assassin sent by the biomed companies to specifically take out the hospital. There is little to be done but rebuild and relocate the hospital after the encounter.

I have never encountered an araquanid infestation at my hospital. One must hope Dr. Garg would be able to cure the infestation.

Trudeau-king must Tera to stop the dancing moth infestation if it is the Tera ground specimen.

Tera fire DD is the reason in the medical handbook it is recommended to give Dragonite the cure with Dr. Garg before committing any other staff.

Thank you Hospital CEO for the detailed response, I will study accordingly. Currently trying to break 1500 ladder with the team but hard-stuck, hopefully I will gain some insight in time to run an efficient hospital that can cure many patients. Currently at this ELO I am struggling with a lot of drug abusers getting high on Calm Mind drugs, which Trudeau-King cannot handle if Sludge Bomb does not poison them (hax-reliant). For example:

Calm Mind Sinistcha drug abusers - with Strength Sap and Matcha Gotcha it can out-regen Dr Garg's medicine if Trudeau-King's Sludge Bombs don't poison them. Also, both of its STABs are super effective against Trudeau-King's Tera forms. My only hope is to send the acupuncturist but sometimes they don't work the night shift and already left the hospital for the day.

Came across a dirty cheap Agility CM Latias set. I gave it the cure from Dr Garg but it had Leftovers so the cure took too long to take effect, it managed to raid the hospital.

Sun viruses Walking Wake + Raging Bolt Double Dog combo. To take out Walking Wake's Water rabies disease, I followed the Hospital Handbook and Tera'd Trudeau King. However I realised later that Tera Water Trudeau King was weak to the Electric from Raging Bolt, especially when it went to Tera Fairy to withstand the darts from the Specialist.

Any advice to deal with the above would be much appreciated.

Thanks a lot in advance,
Sincerely from a new aspiring hospital manager.

Dear Hospital CEO,

Great news! After long and hard work, running overtime, and learning the ropes of a hospital manager, I am pleased to share that I have achieved a new milestone of 1700 ELO with my new hospital. This is very close to the 1800 milestone which is considered 'high ladder', so I am very pleased with my progress! It was certainly a very challenging journey, as it takes very precise measurements and steady hands to ensure all operations run smoothly in a hospital - a single small mistake may prove fatal and result in the failure of a surgery, resulting in costly lawsuits!

If you would be able to spare the time, I have saved a replay of a certain challenging battle that I faced regarding Double Dog Influenza Virus, my hospital tried its absolute best to cure it, but we fell short this time. I would greatly appreciate your insight and advisory on how I could have improved, if you could so spare the time.

The following replay is at 1700 ELO:

Thank you very much,
Sincerely from a proud and accomplished new hospital manager.

Country slander aside, one suggestion might be to change Garganacl's spread so that it always underspeeds standard Galarian-Slowking (maybe by 1 or 2 points); this way you can always Salt Cure on the Chilly Reception and hit something coming in, which makes it way more annoying for teams that can only really rely on Galarian-Slowking to sap Garganacl's momentum.
