The Best Coverage

If you have a pokemon which can learn a good attack of every type, it has decent attack/special attack, and you are going to use a choice set, what four types would you choose to get a better coverage?

We know Electivire set, with 13/17 types super efective, with Electric, Ground, Ice and Fight.

Do you know someone better?

I think that is the closest you are going to get with Electavire.
i am pretty shure that no other pkmn has a more range of attacks that are super effective.

You've got to be kidding me.

You do know whatever Pokemon uses Surf, it will hit both??

PS: You can't link your signature from your hard drive.

My Blaziken from Emerald works pretty well: Thunderpunch, Earthquake, Blaze Kick, and Sky Uppercut. Only types it can't hit SE are Fighting, Psychic, Dragon, Ground, and Ghost (12/17). Electivire still beats it though.

It's a supposition. I was talking about a possible pokemon. Which one could cover the more number of types?

Mew. End of discussion. The four types that go best together as attacking types, I would say, are Ice/Rock/Ground/Grass.

EDIT: Drat, that's only 12 types. Electivire still manages to outdo my 3 minutes of thinking.

The thread creator said, pokemon with movepool and decent stats, who's the idiot now ?

Again, you.Who said Aggron doesn't have great stats and movepool? The type is bad.Or it would be a great wall who hits hard. With that lame type,it's only UU...but still has great stats and movepool.

PS:Yeah,Mew is the guy.

Ice, Fighting, Ghost, Ground are what I have so far. With this combination, you are hitting fourteen out of seventeen types super effective. The only types you don't hit super effective are Bug, Fighting, and Water. The problem is finding a Pokemon that can learn these types of moves and have a decent base power. So far, I haven't thought of a Pokemon that can learn these types of moves and can receive stab from one of them.

Edit:
I forgot about those four(Feraligtr, Snorlax and the Nidos). Charizard is yet another one that learns these types of moves. It'd be interesting what other Pokemon learn the combination.
@superman, Dark type moves and Ghost type moves hit the same two types super effective, so it doesn't matter. Ghost was the first one of the two I thought of.

Everyone's forgetting Floatzel. A Choice Band set with Waterfall/Crunch/Ice Fang/Brick Break gets 13 types super-effective I believe, tying Electivire.

Snorlax? Ice Punch/Brick Break/Crunch/Earthquake off of 110 Base Attack...

Nidoqueen/King and Claydol can pull off both special and physical versions of that. Mew and most other things can go mixed.

Everybody here is forgetting this. We're not talking a real Pokemon, we're talking about a hypothetical one that could use a good move of any type and have the stats to pull it off. Obviously Electivire, Mew, and other such Poke's are good at this, but there's just bound to be a better attacking combination that isn't able to be used yet.

Crunch is a Dark type, but I;m not sure if it makes a difference o_0.

Feraligatr learns brick break, EQ, Ipunch, and shadow claw. No stab, but they're all physical, so a bander might work.

Fight/Ice/Ground plus Ghost Dark or Flying would give 14. Mew, Smeargle, and Snorlax are the only ones I can think of offhand that would be able to do that.

1. Abamasnow: Blizzard, Focus Blast, Shadow Ball, and Earthquake/Hp Ground.

2. Tyranitar: Avalanche/Ice Fang/Ice Beam, Brick Break/Focus Punch, Crunch/Shadow Claw, Earthquake.

3. Dusknoir *WORKS Perfectly*: Earthquake, Ice Punch, Shadow Sneak/Punch, Brick break/Focus Punch

4. Rhyperior: Hammer Arm/Earthquake/Shadow Claw/Ice Fang

5. Granbull: Ice Fang, Earthquake, Brick Break/Focus Punch, Crunch

6. Gliscor: Night Slash, Brick break, Ice Fang, Earthquake

7. Drapion: Same as Gliscor

8. Arceus: Earth Power, Ice Beam, Focus Blast/Judgement, Shadow Ball/Judgement

8. Darkrai: Same as above, substitute Hidden Power Ground for Earth Power.

9. Infernape *Life Orb: Earthquake, Close Combat, Hidden Power Ice, Shadow Claw

10. Blissey: Hidden Power Ground, Ice Beam, Shadow Ball, Focus Blast

11. Mewtwo: Focus Blast, Shadow Ball, Ice Beam, Hidden Power Ground.

Heatran has some pretty good coverage with Earth Power, Flamethrower, Solarbeam, Hidden Power [Ice/Dark/Ghost] - hits 13 types for SE. The question is Dark/Ghost or Dragon/Flying coverage (I would go for ice personally due to the abundance of dragon/flying types who resist all the other moves). With Sunny Day that could be pretty deadly.

As a side note, Gengar has to be one of the best balances of coverage and power, hitting 12 types for SE (with STAB Shadow Ball, Aura Sphere/Focus Punch, Thunderbolt, Hidden Power [Ice]) off of 130 base SpAtk and 110 base speed.

I figured out a type combo that hits fifteen types super-effective. I do not know if I made a mistake so you tell me. Here it is:
Ground
Ice
Fighting
Ghost/Flying/Dark (depending on what you want to hit)

I do not know what can learn all of these types of moves, but it hits 15 SE.
