Mandibuzz is a good physical wall thanks to its typing, bulk, and excellent utility moves like Toxic, Knock Off, and Foul Play. Foul Play punishes physical setup sweepers like Talonflame and Dragonite. U-turn in conjunction with a Relaxed nature and 0 Speed IVs can underspeed other slow pivots like Manaphy and Meloetta. Toxic can be used to put walls like Scream Tail and opposing Mandibuzz on a timer, while Defog is a reliable entry hazard control option, and Knock Off threatens walls like RegenVest Roaring Moon, Meloetta, and physically defensive Great Tusk. Unaware can be used as a counter to the aforementioned Dragonite and Talonflame and put a full stop to Belly Drum Kommo-o, while Fluffy is used against contact move-using foes like Galarian Zapdos and Barraskewda. Mandibuzz is used as a counter to setup sweepers like Dragonite and Roaring Moon, so Pokemon that have trouble against them like Cinderace and Ogerpon-H are good teammates. The aforementioned RegenVest Manaphy and Meloetta are good partners for Mandibuzz, as they make up for Mandibuzz's mediocre special bulk. Despite Mandibuzz's good physical bulk, it cannot handle physical attackers that hit it super effectively like Chien-Pao and Ogerpon-C, so Pokemon like Corviknight and Zamazenta-C are good teammates.
