In this battle, we aim to evaluate the updated substitution rules of BBP's latest iteration in a suitably robust manner: a standard battle of the highest available level. Our battlers have each brought a team similarly diverse but differing in composition; TheEver has selected a well-balanced array of offensive Pokemon, utilizing a combination of bulky and fast attackers to pose a consistent threat to their opponent, the ranks of which have been enhanced by the presence of two rare legendaries. In contrast, F Amadon's team consists largely of Pokemon whose scarcity is not indicative of their ease of acquisition, rather a result of their historic limitations or inconsistencies; however, this roster has been supplemented by two powerful supporting Pokemon, the duo of Gengar and Gallade, a pair whose members each possess a frightening capacity to swing matches when given the slightest opportunity. Regarding type matchups, both teams are relatively well-matched, although the broad and powerful coverage of F Amadon's Gallade makes it noteworthy as an outlier capable of threatening the majority of TheEver's Pokemon. Furthermore, F Amadon is allowed control of the battle's initial matchup, enabling them to exert a potentially great pressure onto their opponent's choice in lead. However, the greatest strength of such Pokemon as the former has selected often lies in their performance under an advantageous turn order, thus the opening of this bought may be better controlled by intelligent counterplay from TheEver. S0L1D G0LD Because the execution effect of Sunny Day+Fusion Flare occurs in 8.9 and the damage calculation in 8.10, the combo should benefit from the +3 power to fire moves from the Sun, resulting in 33 damage. Your numbers for Flame Charge seem to suggest 24 damage (which I believe is correct) despite 20 being recorded. Also I don't believe moves like Fly, Dig, etc. have their EN costs split anymore, I think they're just all paid before executing the move. And Reshiram should drop the Sticky Barb at the end of the round.

In an unfortunately impotent display, Lapras christens Dynamax with an inopportune blunder. Lacking the means to defend its strategy from exploitation, Lapras allows TheEver to stall the round and reset the field, thereby inflicting minimal damage onto Reshiram and losing its protective screen. Worse still, TheEver has burdened the unlucky Lapras with a Phazing marker, forcing F Amadon to reveal their final Pokemon. With two selections remaining, this leaves TheEver in a perfect position to counterpick F Amadon's team, thus seeming to herald the end of this bout. However, F Amadon may find an opportunity to avert this fate, as the upcoming round may at least offer them a chance to maintain a favorable team matchup, if not receive second order as well.
