Why do I keep coming back to this game
Overview

Terrakion is an effective wallbreaker and Choice Scarf user due to its high Attack and Speed in conjunction with powerful STAB options in Stone Edge and Close Combat. It naturally outpaces powerful attackers such as Hydreigon and Rotom-Heat and can safely revenge kill them; however, Terrakion can be defeated by even faster revenge killers, be taken advantage of while choice-locked, and be trapped by Dugtrio.

Choice Band
name: Terrakion
move 1: Close Combat
move 2: Stone Edge
move 3: Earthquake
move 4: Quick Attack
item: Choice Band
ability: Justified
nature: Jolly
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

This serves as a fast and powerful wallbreaker that is capable of 2HKOing nearly every Pokemon in OU. Close Combat is Terrakion's strongest STAB option and can be freely used against anything that is not resistant or immune to Fighting coverage. Stone Edge is Terrakion's second STAB option and is useful for nailing the likes of Clefable, Toxapex, and Togekiss. Earthquake is necessary in order to damage Aegislash, which can otherwise switch into Terrakion's attacks easily and force it out with super-effective coverage. It also offers the ability to hit the likes of Toxapex and Jirachi without relying on its inaccurate and defense-lowering STABs, respectively. Finally, Quick Attack is used to KO weakened Dugtrio, which otherwise traps and removes Terrakion, as well as other fast threats such as Zeraora. A Jolly Nature is used to make the most of Terrakion's excellent speed tier.

Due to the prevalence of Ghost-types and sturdy Rock resistances in OU, careful prediction is required in order to keep Terrakion from being taken advantage of. It is optimal to remove one of either Fighting or Rock resistances from the opponent's team, either through predicting correctly or with the support of a teammate, to enable Terrakion to freely spam one of its STABs. Mandibuzz and Bisharp are good options on balance and offense teams, respectively, to take advantage of Ghost-types, while Clefable and other Fairy-types can threaten Fighting-types that would otherwise safely switch into Stone Edge. Terrakion also appreciates entry hazard support from the likes of Ferrothorn and Toxapex in order to prevent the opponent from switching into a resist freely. Pokemon that attempt to clean up weakened teams in the late game value Terrakion's wallbreaking capabilities.

Choice Scarf
name: Terrakion
move 1: Close Combat
move 2: Stone Edge
move 3: Earthquake
move 4: Rock Slide / Toxic
item: Choice Scarf
ability: Justified
nature: Jolly
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

Choice Scarf Terrakion serves as one of the fastest Choice Scarf users in OU. Coupled with its impressive Attack stat and strong STAB options, it serves as a capable revenge killer. Close Combat is Terrakion's strongest STAB against neutral targets and is particularly useful in defeating Choice Scarf Hydreigon, and Adamant Cloyster after a Shell Smash. It is also the strongest attack against Kommo-o, which can otherwise become problematic after a speed boost. Stone Edge smashes many fast Fighting resists, such as Dragapult Gyarados, and Swift Swim Mantine. Earthquake is used to prevent Aegislash from switching in freely. In the last slot, Rock Slide serves as a less powerful but more accurate Rock-type STAB, while Toxic can be used instead to punish otherwise safe switch-ins such as Gastrodon and Seismitoad. A Jolly Nature is used to maximize speed.

Terrakion functions best as a revenge killer and late game cleaner with this set. It fits best on offense teams that need a reliable way of defeating OU's fast threats after the threat nets a KO. It is important to prevent opposing threats from netting more than one speed boost as Terrakion will no longer be able to outspeed them. Terrakion appreciates wallbreakers such as Life Orb Clefable, Aegislash, and Hydreigon that can wear down bulky cores to the point that Terrakion can finish them off.

Swords Dance
name: Terrakion
move 1: Swords Dance
move 2: Close Combat
move 3: Stone Edge
move 4: Earthquake
item: Shed Shell
ability: Justified
nature: Jolly
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

Swords Dance Terrakion serves as a powerful wallbreaker, similar to its Choice Band set, but forgoes immediate power for the abilities to boost its attack further with Swords Dance and to switch moves. Close Combat is Terrakion's most powerful STAB option and obliterates most of the tier after a boost. Stone Edge flattens Ghost-types, Fairy-types, and other Fighting resistances. Earthquake is always used in order to defeat Aegislash, as even bulkier sets are cleanly OHKOd in Shield form by a boosted Earthquake. Specially defensive Toxapex is also OHKOd by a boosted Earthquake after it takes Stealth Rock or Spikes damage. A Shed Shell is used on this set to prevent being trapped and revenge killed by Dugtrio after netting a KO. This is critical to Terrakion's success against bulky teams.

Terrakion can find setup opportunities by switching into resisted hits from Pokemon such as Mandibuzz and Rotom-Heat, or through predicting the opponent's switch, and using Swords Dance as the foe is forced out for fear of being KOd. It can then use its power and coverage to break through opposing defensive cores. Swords Dance Terrakion fits nicely on bulky offense teams and appreciates partners that can help bring it in safely using U-Turn and Volt Switch. Some good options are Dragapult, Rotom-Heat, and Jirachi. It also relies on teammates that can switch into opposing revenge killers after claiming a KO. Clefable can handle Dragapult and Conkeldurr while Gastrodon can beat Keldeo and Choice Scarf Dracovish.

I'll take care of this as soon as I can. Currently dealing with finals and college eviction (of every student, due to the virus). Should be good to go in a couple days.
