All vetoes have been sorted, so now it's time to vote. We have 48 hours to vote for your fav subs, so let's get to it!

Voting Guidelines

You vote for your top 5 submissions (3 at minimum), unless not applicable, in order from most favourite to least favourite. The top two are weighted (3 and 2 points respectively). You have a maximum of three self votes and only one can be weighted, but it can occupy the top slot. (unless it's your only sub)

Voting will last for 48 Hours. May the best submitter win!

New Moves: Smog, Roost
G-Max Move:
110 BP, Burns target + becomes physical if Atk > SpA
Justification:
Charizard has a great physical movepool that's going to waste without Mega X. The stat buffs make physical sets do decent damage and all sets compete with the new fast Pokemon. Battle Bond is great sweeping ability that currently doesn't exist in TeraMax and helps both physical and special sets. Smog was the most thematic option for Max Ooze to give special sets a way to boost. Roost can let it heal up before Gmaxing or stick around if you're running a non-Gmax set for some reason. Keeping the 100% burn on its signature move because it needs a good effect to compete with Max Flare.

G-Max Move:
120 BP, Toxtricity-Gmax - Physical + Poisons target. Toxtricity-Low-Key-Gmax - Paralyzes target.
Overdrive: 85 BP
, becomes physical if Atk > SpA
Justification:
To differentiate the two forms; I made Amped a stronger mixed attacker and Low Key a special attacker with better bulk.
Amped got Iron Fist because of Shift Gear and all its punching moves (including the new Ice Punch). Its Gmax ability lets it get some value out of its Poison typing even as a physical attacker, especially when combined with the new Gmax move effect and Barb Barrage. Needle Arm is a rare move that gives it coverage on Technician sets and a stronger Max Overgrowth than Trailblaze.
Low Key is functionally a better version of the current Gmax Toxtricity, keeping its ability and gaining relevant stats plus a stronger move effect. Storm Drain and its new status moves help its non-Gmax sets a bit, while Icy Wind lets it pressure the Ground types it invites in while dynamaxed.

Abilities: Torrent / Super Luck
G-Max Ability: Stakeout
New / Changed Moves: G-Max Hydrosnipe.
G-Max Hydrosnipe: 80bp - +1 priority. Fails if the opponent hasn't selected a move.
Justification: Avoided giving Inteleon poison coverage so as to not make it too overwhelming, might change stats later after feedback but right now they should work well, especially due to the speed nerf. Thanks to Stakeout, Inteleon becomes a very powerful damage dealer capable of breaking teams. Thanks to its buffed gmax move, Inteleon forces opponents to play a guessing gane between attacking and eating a water type sucker punch or switching out and taking immense damage from its ice coverage. Meanwhile as base it can use Super Luck + Snipe Shot to take out mons like Hatterene in an emergency. Should be balanced due to the prevalence of bulky waters and Tera mons, as well as faster mons like Bundle or Dragapult being able to tank snipe shot.

Description: This is a random idea I had. G-Max Terror being a Ghost move allows Gengar to poison Steel-types, which can be helpful to deter Pokemon like Copperajah, Ferrothorn and Kingambit from switching in since they don't like the status, especially the first two. I decided not to buff its offenses too much. Its new speed is quite nice and gets the jump on a lot of Pokemon while the new "bulk" allows it to survive more hits especially with the G-Max bulk. Aura Sphere gives it more reliable coverage and I thought that Chilly Reception fits on Gengar and gives it a unique new tool.

Might do some for the other guys, but I gotta take care of the swimming pool that has accumulated in my basement.

Ignore that it says scionicle twice, say congrats to all our winners!

Expect the next slate to follow tomorrow, but feel free to discuss the current winners!

Slate 2b: Rebuff Redux Part 1

All of these Pokémon were retooled to become better fits into the metagame, but for one reason or another, they all failed to take off. None of these Pokémon saw usage in PMPL, so we have decided to directly address that by having a slate dedicated to retooling these mons from scratch.

Restrictions

For All

- Can replace one ability with another.
- Typing can be modified.
- Up to 20 points can be removed from a single stat to inflate the other stats.
- Signature moves and abilities can be modified.

Submissions close on the 7th of October, so get those subs in! Good luck dveryone, and hopefully the lessons learnt from PMPL will help guide your subs.

:sv/brute-bonnet:
Brute Bonnet
+Close Combat, +Moonlight, +Parting Shot
Currently, Brute Bonnet has a lot of good potential ideas but struggles to fulfil these concepts, especially offensively, but doesnt have the longevity or momentum to make the most of this. Giving it Close Combat allows Brute Bonnet to pressure the Steel-types that pressure it, especially Kingambit, while also scaring off Dark-types like Ting-Lu, Tyranitar, and Chien-Pao. Moonlight gives Brute Bonnet much-loved but more thematic recovery, while Parting Shot gives it pivoting in a logical way.

:sv/dudunsparce:
Dudunsparce
+5 Atk / +15 SpA / -20 Spe
+Trick Room
Rattled: Bug-, Dark-, and Ghost-type moves boost Speed by 1 when hit. Allies are immune to this Pokemon's moves.
Dudunsparce is just pretty weak right now. Boomburst is incredibly strong, but that's it. Giving Dudunsparce a Special Attack boost lets it keep up with the metagame while forcing teams to respect it in the builder. The change to Rattled alongside Trick Room access is doubles-focused, allowing Dudunsparce to constantly use Boomburst without harming its allies at the cost of dropping Stamina and disliking Knock Off and U-turn, two common moves in Doubles. 5 added Attack is so that physical sets don't become inherently invalidated, although they've never been that good.

:sv/grafaiai:
Grafaiai
+5 Def / -10 SpA / +5 SpD
+Topsy-Turvy, +Moonlight
Grafaiai has always just been there but never good; its only niche is Prankster Encore, which isn't large enough and comes with a variety of issues. However, with Topsy-Turvy and recovery in Moonlight, Grafaiai can carve its own niche in singles by punishing setup without fear of losing valuable HP in the process, although Gholdengo and Dark-types like Kingambit and Chien-Pao still counter it.

:sv/slither-wing:
Slither Wing
+Rage Powder, +Victory Dance, +Swords Dance, +Tailwind
Slither Wing has a ton of potential, and Choice Band sets are even viable although niche while defensive sets are equally decent. However, Slither Wing's setup moves are awful. Victory Dance and Swords Dance alleviate this issue, allowing Slither Wing to either solve its Speed issue or be incredibly strong. Rage Powder and Tailwind are Doubles-oriented, allowing Slither Wing to use its great bulk and naturally good typing into Rillaboom and Scrafty, two common Fake Out users that often ignore Rage Powder, to support its team.

:sv/talonflame:
Talonflame
+Beak Blast
Gale Wings: Flying-type moves when above 75% HP: +1 Priority, ignores Psychic Terrain and anti-priority abilities
Talonflame currently has... issues, and while Beak Blast is a small buff, it allows Talonflame to be more proactive when attempting to burn targets without invalidating Overheat. Gale Wings's buff is more focused towards Doubles, where Indeedee, Farigiraf, and Tsareena currently invalidate it unless its below max HP or carries Flame Body, which causes issues. This buff allows Talonflame to solve this issue while avoiding losing the Gale Wings boost to Fake Out chip, allowing offensive Chien-Pao teams to be more proactive with their priority attacks while still limiting how spammable Brave Bird is.

Justification:
Ingame lore says it's a combination of Amoonguss and dinosaurs, and we don't have a physical Poison/Dragon yet. Here are the last round of council discussed buffs for some of the last of the lacklustre subs that permeated the tier!

:ss/ninjask:
+5 Atk, +15 Def
+Tough Claws,
-Sharpness
+Drill Run, Stone Edge

Ninjask still couldn't threaten anything in the tier for the life of itself due to X-Scissor simply nit being the major threatening force it ought to be after Sharpness. We instead bit the bullet and gave it a +5 Atk increase + Tough Claws, which allows Ninjask to now properly serve as the fast offensive wallbreaker it was intended to be in the tier. Stone Edge was added so it can also have something to hit Flying types with, while finally gave it +15 Def so it has the chance to live an Earthquake if necessary.

:ss/revavroom:
+Self-Repair, -Overcoat
+20 SpD
+Defog, Pain Split, Toxic Spikes

> by Clas
ngas is just not as good in a format where abilities are less important. it also has 0 sustain and is poor into great tusk. while recovery is hard to implement, i believe its doable. hence, the following:
- Overcoat -> Self-Repairing: When a status move is used successfully, heal 25% HP. This activates before the status move's effect concludes (e.g. before pshot's switch).
- +Defog, +Pain Split
these buffs give revavroom recovery, more flexibility, and a better way of pressuring gholdengo if it chooses to run ngas and great tusk if it chooses to run self-repairing. this also doesnt invalidate its previous role, rather just enhancing it. i dont think revavroom will be particularly insane, but this will allow it to be a lot better overall.

This + a general increase to it's SpD so it better checks threats like Togekiss and the aforementioned Gholdengo should help it solidy its role as a utility threat while maintaining its offensive potential.

:ss/Staraptor:
-11 Atk, +11 Def
Fighting/Flying

Staraptor still faced its issues from before, being frail and to reliant on recoil to makes progress, all while suffering from a SR weakness. With tjis rework Staraptor should vastly improve as a dedicated D-Max sweeper or as a general purpose offensive pivot.

:ss/falinks:
+25 HP
-Swords Dance

The stat buff here mainly serve to make Falinks be worth setting up for, since it's fragile nature often impeded how successfully it could set up and how much of a threat it was after the fact due to being able to actually live hits after setting No Retreat. It already has the power and speed it needs to sweep so no adjustmensts there.

:ss/eiscue:
+10 Attack
+Headlong Rush

+10 Attack and Headlong Rush allows Eiscue to be a much more consistently threatening attacker, as throughout the tour it often struggled to secure KOs and matchups it ought to win.

:ss/Stonjourner:
+15 Speed

Stonjourner's speed often left it in the dust as a wallbreaker, so this buff serves to ensure it keeps its edge against multiple top threats.

:ss/wo-chien:
+Synthesis

Wo-Chien with somewhat reliable rwcovery helps us out in bejng an actual threat to check a good majority of powerful breakers over the course of the match. Surprised we didn't give it this already but I get it.

All of the mons here have been sorted out to be much more potent in our current metagame, and hopefully after these buffs these mons can positively contribute more to the successful development of the meta.

In regards to the future of TeraMax as a whole, expect news over the Christmas holidays. Have fun til then everyone!
