Pet Mod TeraForming - Playtesting Phase - Slates Completed

:sv/palafin::sv/palafin-hero:
Pokemon: Palafin (-Hero)
Tera Type: Electric
Type of Tera Form: Zero - Water/Fighting
Hero - Water
Ability: Zero - Levitate
Hero - Water Veil
Stats: Zero - 100 / 60 (-10) / 72 / 103 (+50) / 62 / 110 (+10)
Hero - 100 / 160 / 107 (+10) / 106 / 117 (+30) / 110 (+10)
New Moves: Thunderbolt, Thunder
Removes Moves: Taunt
Competitive Overview: Zero form is probably worthless, but Hero form is notable because it's Palafin. Hero Tera form has its niche in getting very tanky. Tera form blocks burn, +10 Def, +30 SpD, dropps a Grass weakness and turns an Electric weakness to a resistance. It also gets slightly faster. In order to make sure defensive sets aren't too strong without hurting them too much, I dropped one of their tools on Taunt. Zero form does get no weaknesses, solid offenses, and a wide range of coverage.

:sv/leavanny:
Pokemon: Leavanny
Tera Type: Ghost
Type of Tera Form: Bug/Grass
Ability: Chlorophyll
Stats: 75 / 118 (+15) / 80 / 105 (+35) / 80 / 92
New Moves: Shed Leaves (Grass, Special, 85 BP, 100 Acc, 8 pp, User switches out.)
Competitive Overview: I tried keeping the niche ausma made, but there's a lot going on that makes it difficult to implement them all. Therefore, I decided to go in a slightly different way, making it much a lot stronger. Shed Leaves attempts to combine Eject Pack and Leaf Storm in the same package, making it weaker but always swap out instead of single use.

:sv/snorlax:
Pokemon: Snorlax
Tera Type: Fighting
Type of Tera Form: Normal/Fighting
Ability: Hunger Pains (While this Pokemon isn't at max Hp, all other Pokemon are affected by Torment and Embargo.)
Stats: 160 / 130 (+20) / 75 (+10) / 65 / 130 (+20) / 20 (-10)
New Moves: Gyro Ball
Competitive Overview: Substitute + Hunger Pains to avoid getting hit repeatedly + Focus Punch for massive damage

:sv/iron-crown:
Pokemon: Iron Crown
Tera Type: Steel
Type of Tera Form: Psychic
Ability: Natural Cure
Stats: 90 / 72 / 110 (+10) / 132 (+10) / 108 / 108 (+10)
New Moves: None
Competitive Overview: Drops the weaker Psychic typing defensively and Natural Cure to stop status + you can use Rest for recovery.

:sm/Iron-Crown:
Pokémon: Iron Crown
Tera Type: Electric
Type of Tera Form: Steel/Psychic
Ability: Electromorphosis
Stats: 90/92/115/122/123/98
New Moves: N/A
Competitive Overview: Tera-Form becomes a bulky pivot which can use electro-morphosis + now STAB Volt Switch.

:sm/Palafin: :sm/Palafin-Hero:
Pokémon: Palafin
Tera Type: Normal
Type of Tera Form: Water
Abilities: Seed Surfer (Doubles speed in grassy terrain) (Zero) Soundproof (Hero)
Stats: 100/70/72/83/82/90 (Zero) 110/160/107/108/97/106 (Hero)
New Moves: N/A
Removed Moves: Jet Punch, Agility
Competitive Overview: Normal form becomes a powerful partner with Rillaboom which can allow Grassy Terrain to become more of it's own playstyle, but is dependent on a terrain speedboost to make up for lowered speed and weak base stats. The Hero form is more self reliant and can act as a mix-up option for those expecting the non Tera Palafin. Swap in a physical wall to account for standard Palafin and you're blasted by Boomburst, swap in Blissey expecting Tera and you get Banded. To account for this, Agility is removed to prevent you from sweeping after a single set up and Jet Punch is removed to nerf the power of the original form.

:sm/Snorlax:
Pokémon: Snorlax
Tera Type: Ghost
Type of Tera Form: Normal
Ability: Beelzebub's Curse (33% of damage from attacks is gained as health)
Stats: 175/130/65/65/110/45
New Moves
: Poltergeist
Competitive Overview: Bulky win-con which now gains semi-reliable recovery but is forced to use the unreliable Belly Drum as set-up without any immediate healing due to the lack of an item.

:sm/Leavanny:
Pokémon: Leavanny
Tera Type: Fairy
Type of Tera Form: Grass/Bug
Ability: Magic Bounce
Stats: 85/103/80/70/80/132
New Moves
: Taunt, Driad's Blessing (Next turn, 50% of the user's health is recovered alongside any status conditions they have), U-turn
Competitive Overview: Fast pivot-utility mon who can wish-pass and cure mons crippled by burns or paras while also blocking status, generally balanced by a medicore defensive profile even with the fairy typing and lack of offensive capabilities. Based around a cleric set used in BW NU.

Palafin (hero too)
tera type: fighting
Abilities: techinian (zero), jack of all trades (hero)
New moves: Mach punch, superpower, scald, work up, vacuum wave

Jack of trades: +1 sp.atk when using a physical move, +1 attack when using a special move. Only triggers if the move is at least 80bp

Prob have too many new moves but…

Zero abuses technician prio and hero is a fun bulky mixed attacker

Tera Type: Poison
Type of Tera Form: Grass/Bug
Ability: Protosynthesis
Stats: 75/113 (+10)/90 (+10)/70/100 (+20)/102 (+10)
New Moves: Gunk Shot, Sludge Wave, U-Turn, Taunt, Toxic Spikes
Removed Moves: None
Competitive Overview: In a similar vein to the Chlorophyll sets, but with more options to choose from and with a solid defensive typing upon Tera.

EDIT: HP Boost moved to Speed. Tera changed to Poison, moves changed accordingly.

:sm/Snorlax:
Pokémon: Snorlax
Tera Type: Flying
Type of Tera Form: Normal
Ability: Meta Swap (All Special Moves use the Physical Attack Stat)
Stats: 160/120 (+10)/105 (+40)/65/110/30
New Moves: Hurricane, Drill Peck, Roost
Removed Moves: None
Competitive Overview: Snorlax has a lot of neat Special coverage moves from its time in Gen 1 that it never gets to use, because, well, Special Stat. So now it can use those and also be more physically defensive.

Sub reviews one last time!

As stated in the OP, during the Veto / Review Phase, we'll give people a chance to fix potentially broken or extremely weak submissions. Any sub that's vetoed and isn't appropriately nerfed/buffed/replaced will not be eligible for voting. New submissions can be made and all submissions can be edited during the Veto / Review Phase, but note that newly added things can be vetoed without warning if they are too strong or too weak.

Additionally, this is also a sub review, I'll also be giving feedback on all subs, not just vetoed ones. These are just my opinion, so unless it is a veto, it's up to you whether or not you take my advice. You'll know if something would get vetoed if I put the word Veto in Bold in the review.
Already reviewed these on Discord but to go over again briefly
:palafin:Similar to what I was originally planning on subbing for Palafin, so naturally I like it a lot
:leavanny:Very solid adaptation of Leavanny's existing niche, I like it
:snorlax:Designing around SubPunch in Gen 9 is a very neat idea, though I'm not sure how well it'll work out with it being so slow. The ability owning Choiced mons is also fun
:iron crown:Nothing too crazy, makes for a nice defensive buff, would basically let AV sets have recovery in return for less bulk

Also reviewed these on Discord but to go again briefly
:iron crown:Clicking Volt Switch on this will be extremely fun and the fact that the only special Electric-type move it gets is Volt Switch makes it even funnier
:palafin:Zero form is probably meh but I like the idea of getting to spam Modest Boomburst at high Speed, while Hero form looks solid for also clicking Boomburst and just having the stats to get stuff done
:snorlax:Should be a pretty good bulky attacker with its bulk and passive recovery. I'm 50/50 on whether I want you to add Curse back, since it can't use it for set up after it Teras but I'm assuming you removed so it can't use it pre-Tera. Either way, it wouldn't be broken, but it's up to your preference if you want to put it back
:leavanny:Looks like a neat fast cleric and general Speed control mon, plus Magic Bounce + that Speed tier on a Sticky Web lead is also pretty great actually, though having to spend your Tera on it balances it in that regard

:palafin:This would get vetoed, Zero form is fine and should be a decent priority-spamming attacker, but Hero's stellar offensive stats + the powerful set up of Jack of All Trades + all those strong priority moves (and Rapid Spin) that bypass the Speed nerf all would make Palafin a really hard sweeper to stop. I think the easiest way to nerf this would be replacing Jack of All Trades altogether or making it only boost SpA when a physical move is used and removing Bulk Up and Calm Mind so it can't abuse that really great bulk to boost past everything.

:leavanny:It's an okay adaptation of its OU-niche, though I do think it'd like more Speed to get the jump on some Scarfers that its Chlorophyll would normally let it outspeed, probably at least 102 for Booster Iron Crown and base 100s. Also, I'm not sure if Dragon is the best type for this, since Sun already stacks a lot of Fairy-weak mons in Great Tusk, Roaring Moon, Walking Wake, etc.
:snorlax:Having to rely on Hurricane is pretty painful (I know from experience with Megas Revisited Aerodactyl) but this is a neat concept, slow bulky Flying-type tanks aren't really a thing and Roost is a massive buff for base Snorlax, I like it

And that's all! We'll see how many subs we have by this time tomorrow, as I may extend this submission phase to get some more. See you then!

Ability: Martial Mom*
User's Fighting-type moves are boosted by 1.5x in power.
HP: 75
Atk: 103
Def: 80
SpA: 92 (+22)
SpD: 80
Spe: 120 (+28)

New Moves: Upper Hand, Vacuum Wave, Shadow Ball, Taunt
Removed Moves: N/A

Akin to an earlier submission, this attempts to lean further into the pre-existing niche Leavanny has in the OU metagame, but specifically into the sun-less niche. 92 Special Attack lets it OHKO Great Tusk without any Special Attack investment being necessary, and 120 Speed lets it naturally outpace both Roaring Moon and Cinderace. Its ability lets it have pseudo-STAB on its Fighting-type moves, which is important for Leaf Storm -> Vacuum Wave to cleanly 2HKO Iron Treads without investment and ensuring Low Kick can OHKO it after Spikes and OHKO bulky Roaring Moon. This has the benefit of also boosting Upper Hand, which can let it deal with Sucker Punch from Hisuian Samurott, Cinderace, and Kingambit while ensuring it doesn't have to win as many exchanges with the move. I also gave it Taunt to deal with Court Change, on top of Shadow Ball if it wants to lean into its Special offense a bit more, which has merit into Gholdengo.

I went for this ability instead of just giving it Tera Fighting because I thought the Upper Hand exchanges with Sucker Punch could be fun, but most importantly, to leverage it into Extreme Speed Dragonite, Zamazenta Body Press, and Rapid Spin from Speed-boosting Great Tusk/Iron Treads.

Ability: Psychotic Drive
User's damage-dealing Psychic Type moves will repeat two turns later (like Future Sight) at half BP. When under Electric Terrain, using a Psychic-type move (regardless of it being a Status move or an instance of a repeated attack) will boost the user's highest stat by a stage.
Stats:
HP: 110 (+20)
Atk: 72
Def: 104 (+4)
SpAtk: 128 (+6)
SpDef: 108
Spe: 118 (+20)

New Moves: Stealth Rock, Thunder Wave
Removed Moves: Stored Power
Explanation: A variant of Iron Crown that encourages using its really cool Psychic-type movepool with an extremely powerful ability that also can let it be highly disruptive with repeated one-two punches of the stallbreaking Psychic Noise + Future Sight layering, and potentially win the game in the long run. Psychotic Drive's effects layer in Electric Terrain which can let it be a strong offensive Pokemon with boosts also accruing when using moves like Gravity or Calm Mind. Pre-Tera Quark Drive can let it pose an immediate threat if Speed boosting in order to enable turns of set up.

Popping in real quick to announce that I will be extending subs until Thursday to get some extra submissions in, so keep em coming! See you soon!

Competitive Overview: WIP (i had no ideas for this thing but i've made the maximum amount of subs for every single slate (i think) so i'm not gonna fumble at the finish line. this serves to mainly buff psyspam sets by making expanding force in terrain after agility and a monster to deal with, especially since you can't touch it with priority in that. 104 is a decent speed tier in general and makes non-agility sets a bit more threatening as well with webs or paralysis support. speaking of which, i gave it thunder wave for some more utility that can also help it abuse superiority complex. dark lets it resist dark and ghost moves but without giving it a stab move for kingambit or ting-lu, so the latter can still easily tank a boosted focus blast. you also have the option of tera blast to handle gholdengo)

Voting for the last time!

Voting rules can be found below and in the OP:
Voting Phase (2 Days)
After the submission phase is over, voting will begin. This mod will be using the same voting system as Megas Revisited, where you can vote for as many submissions as you want, with each submission getting a certain number of points based on how you ranked it. An example can be seen below.
For a slate with the Tera Types Normal, Fighting, and Flying, for example, a ballot would look like this:
Normal: Pokemon 1, Pokemon 2, Pokemon 3
Fighting: Pokemon 4, Pokemon 5, Pokemon 6
Bug: Pokemon 7, Pokemon 8, Pokemon 9

With this ballot, Submission 1 for Tera Normal would get 3 points, Submission 2 would get 2, and Submission 3 would get 1. The same goes for Submissions 4, 5, and 6 in the Fighting category and Submissions 7, 8, and 9 in the Bug category, with them getting 3, 2, and 1 point respectively.

You can add as many submissions are you'd like after your third vote, with each one getting 1 point.
Normal: Pokemon 1, Pokemon 2, Pokemon 3
Fighting: Pokemon 4, Pokemon 5, Pokemon 6
Bug: Pokemon 7, Pokemon 8, Pokemon 9, Pokemon 10, Pokemon 11
So, in this ballot, Submissions 10 and 11 would also get 1 point in the Bug category.

You can vote for your own submission, but it can't be in first place or your only vote in that category. Be sure to mark your self-vote by putting (SV) after it.
Normal: Pokemon 12 (SV), Pokemon 2, Pokemon 3
Fighting: Pokemon 4, Pokemon 5, Pokemon 6
Bug: Pokemon 7, Pokemon 8, Pokemon 9, Pokemon 10, Pokemon 11
This wouldn't be a legal ballot as the self-vote is in first place in the Normal category

Normal: Pokemon 12 (SV)
Fighting: Pokemon 4, Pokemon 5, Pokemon 6
Bug: Pokemon 7, Pokemon 8, Pokemon 9, Pokemon 10, Pokemon 11
This also wouldn't be a legal ballot as the self-vote is the only vote in the Normal category

Normal: Pokemon 2, Pokemon 12 (SV)
Fighting: Pokemon 4, Pokemon 12 (SV), Pokemon 6
Bug: Pokemon 7, Pokemon 8, Pokemon 12 (SV), Pokemon 10, Pokemon 11
This is a legal ballot because none of the self-votes are in first place or the only vote in a category.

If you vote for only 2 submissions in a category, the first place submission gets 2 points and the second place submission gets 1 point. If you vote for just one, then that submission gets 1 point.
Normal: Pokemon 1 (1 point)
Fighting: Pokemon 4 (2 points), Pokemon 5 (1 point)
Bug: Pokemon 7 (3 points), Pokemon 8 (2 points), Pokemon 9 (1 point), Pokemon 10 (1 point), Pokemon 11 (1 point)
The submission with the most points in a category will be added to the mod.
If multiple people the same Pokemon in the same category, please specify which submission you're voting for.
If the same Pokemon is submitted in multiple categories and ends up in first place in both, it will only win in the category where it received more points.

Nothing has been vetoed!

Voting will end in 48 hours. Good luck!
If your sub isn't here and it wasn't vetoed, then please let me know!

Competitive Overview: WIP (references the "new pokemon in dlc thread" that i made for leavanny when it dropped in dlc1, with the second set i put being a swords dance set that could run either tera fire or electric. fully leaned into power, as electric stab + either bug or grass stab + tech-boosted triple axel turns an innocent early game bug into a terrifying midspeed offensive mon, hopefully threatening enough that people are forced to respect the option of tera leavanny existing but then you just run a normal webs set and get them for free. thunder jacket is also somewhat useful for non-tera lead sets to trap in a switch-in or greedy lead samurott/araquanid/something similar)

Stats:

Def: 104 (+4)
SpAtk: 128 (+6)

Competitive Overview: WIP (vaporemons reference. base form gets a big power boost from water bubble, making its water moves stronger than hero palafin (see calc below), making it a potent breaker while having okay bulk. hero palafin still sports good amounts of power but leans much more heavily into bulk and can act as a great knock absorber with justified, meant to be a fat pivot or sweeper with bulk up. taunt and encore removed so it can't mess with walls anymore. tera ground owns electric-types (and fat steels if you run tera blast) and makes you care about hazards a little less but keeps you weak to grass and makes you vulnerable to ice-types you previously checked)

Hilariously for the second slate in a row, we have another tie! This tie is between PalpitoadChamp's and ausma's Leavanny subs.
Thus, this will go to a 24 Hour Tiebreaker vote, where you can vote for one of the following subs:

After the tiebreaker, TeraForming will officially conclude and we'll start looking toward our future of playtesting. See you tomorrow for more details!

By a vote of 2-0, ausma's Leavanny is the winner!

With that, we have now added all of the TeraForms in TeraForming!
However, the journey truly only now begins, as we look to catch up on the months of playtesting we've missed. I'll have more details on what that entails later, but for now my top priority will be making preliminary resources for the tier to make it easier to start playtesting. In the meantime, feel free to hop onto DH and try out the metagame for yourself!
See you soon!
