WEEK 1

:urshifu: :tatsugiri: :chien-pao: :dondozo: :flutter mane: :dragonite:
Banded Dnite + Tatsu Giri by gossifleur23 (D)
This is an incredible team by gossifleur23 that aims to cause enough damage with the combination of Sword of Ruin Chien-Pao and Dragonite, for Dozo + Giri to begin to clean up in the late game. In addition there is a second starting in lead Urshifu which gives way to Black Glasses Sucker Punches that can put opposing pokemon in range of a KO for Flutter Mane or Chien-Pao. The Dondozo in itself is a Tera-Grass variant to ignore Amoonguss Spore/Rage Powder, and boast a unique item of Rocky Helmet to deter Urshifu-Rapid-Strike Surging Strikes. Lastly, Chien-Pao is Ice Shard to ensure clutch outspeed KO’s against opposing tailwind, overall the team is exceptionally solid and certainly scary to go up against.

:tornadus: :urshifu: :iron hands: :amoonguss: :arcanine-hisui: :chien-pao:
Banded H-canine + Chien by A0Deko & ElweAslocas (D)
A0Deko has created a standard yet unique take on the Tailwind playstyle this time using the x2 speed boost to spam Choice Banded Rock Slide's with Arcanine-Hisui! Typically when counter leading Tornadus Tailwind teams you go for strong spread moves in hopes of a KO on Tornadus on it's tailwind, however with likely flinch odds Tornadus can potentially survive that crucial turn 1. In addition, it's even more difficult to counter lead Tornadus because of the threat of Chien-Pao + Arcanine-Hisui lead which allows Arcanine to fire off huge damage thanks to Chien-Pao's Sword of Ruin Ability. Lastly it's important to mention just how much disruption the team has in Amoonguss as well as Iron Hands which can further the power of Arcanine-Hisui or Urshifu-Rapid-Strike!

:chien-pao: :gothitelle: :scream tail: :amoonguss: :iron hands: :urshifu:
Perish Trap + Banded Chien by Insertable94 (D)
I would be lying if Insertable194's team was not the funniest team this week, but however whacky it may be the power of Perish Song + Shadow Tag with the best Pokémon this regulation has to offer is nothing to scoff at. Perish Song and Gothitelle make quite a good pair, threatening to OHKO all Pokémon on the field if the opponent is not quick enough to dismantle the Gothitelle. Not just this, the team makes great use of the opponent being forced to switch by having multiple abusers of Chien-Pao's Sword of Ruin ability, in Iron Hands and Urshifu-Rapid-Strike. Let me tell you, there are no switch in's to Choice band boosted Chien-Pao and any of the Urshifu's! The team has a difficulty curve for sure but the competency of the team is surely there and this team offers a lot of options immediately with the endless ways to use Shadow Tag.

WEEK 2

:weezing: :flutter mane: :landorus-therian: :iron hands: :amoonguss: :chi-yu:
Weezing + Specs Flutter Balance by Insertable194 (E)
The submitter Insertable makes it onto Team(s) of the week yet again, striking back with a new balance team fit for the new metagame of regulation E! One of the new additions in the Teal Mask DLC was Weezing, who coming back with Neutralizing Gas gained potential niches. Most notably it's ability prevents the activation of the ruin abilities which heightens this teams defensive capabilities ten fold. This unfortunately can backfire on your own Chi-Yu when using this team however Chi-Yu is the only Pokémon on this team that utilizes it's ability offensively. Weezing has a few other trick's to pull such as pain split giving it added longevity and Weezing can easily spread status with Will-o-Wisp or Sludge Bomb. The most interesting piece of this Weezing set is the Tera-typing, with the dragon typing it may appear odd at first as to why it was chosen. However the reasoning to this is obvious as the team lacks a bulky dragon to handle Ogerpon-Hearthflame, and once changed to a dragon typing you can threaten heavy damage with Sludge Bomb. Going through the rest of the team, it's a standard balance team utilizing heavy special pressure in the Beads of Ruin ability with Choice Specs Flutter Mane. In addition the team utilizes a strong defensive disruption core in Iron Hands and Amoonguss with whom together they wear through teams easily by spreading sleep or healing off damage with Regenerator, Drain Punch, and Pollen Puff. Overall this team is exceptionally solid with consistency in bulk and damage being the main selling point, and a solid anti-cheese option in Neutralizing Gas Weezing.

WEEK 3

:heatran: :amoonguss: :iron hands: :flutter mane: :landorus-therian: :roaring moon:
Specs Flutter + TW Moon Balance by Draxolotl (E)
This weeks team takes balance to a new level using the newly buffed Tailwind setter Roaring Moon! In the Teal Mask DLC Roaring Moon gained access to Knock Off granting it a new utility move with added damage on the first Knock Off, compared to the alternative Crunch. Roaring Moon despite having a rather small tail, has another utility move in Tailwind doubling the speed of its allies to fix the speed control issue. Tailwind can allow Flutter Mane to more safely fire off Choice Specs boosted attacks, specifically in the presence of Choice Scarf Pokémon such as Urshifu-Rapid-Strike or Landorus-Therian. Speaking of Landorus-Therian it can also be found on this team boasting a Choice Scarf set for emergency speed control! Lastly the team utilize the bulky core of Amoonguss plus Iron Hands to defensively handle whatever the metagame throws at it, with a Heatran as the final Pokemon for the obligatory Flutter Mane check. All in all a fantastic balance team by Draxolotl which secured him a fine run in a VGC grass roots event, be sure to test it on the ladder as well!

WEEK 4

:dondozo: :tatsugiri-stretchy: :zapdos: :rillaboom: :heatran: :flutter mane:
Dozo Giri + Rilla Tran Offense by Choruto (E)
This is a phenomenal team created by Choruto with the main idea around the team being Commander boosted Dondozo. The Dondozo set is rather offensive with Tera-Flying Tera Blast and Wave Crash as the main offensive options. It's capable of OHKO's on many of the threats that give Dondozo trouble, such as Sinistcha, both Urshifu's, Rillaboom, Amoonguss, Ogerpon, and more thanks to Tera-Flying Tera Blast. The maximum speed EVs as well as Jolly nature allows Dondozo to out speed Adamant Chien-Pao, and most Flutter Mane spreads after the commander boost which more than makes up for the lack of bulk. The other 2 core members of the team are Booster Energy speed Flutter Mane and speedy Life Orb Heatran. Booster Energy Flutter Mane is very good at controlling the field, being able to spread Icy Wind speed drops is super valuable for the team. Heatran with Life orb and Icy Wind support from Flutter Mane is a beast, and although it normally survives at least 2-3 turns Heatran is capable of dishing a lot of damage combined with flutter during that turn count. Lastly to round out the team a defensive bulky core in Rillaboom and Zapdos was used to even out a wide array of potentially scary matchups, such as opposing Tornadus tailwind.

:ogerpon-wellspring: :landorus-therian: :iron hands: :chi-yu: :flutter mane: :baxcalibur:
SD Bax + Specs Chi-Yu Offense by Faulty Avalugg (E)
The words "power house" have never reigned more true than now with this team created by Faulty Avalugg. The team boast enormous immediate damage in Tera Fire Choice Specs Chi-Yu, ensuring that any team relying on raw bulk won't stand a chance. To capitalize on the Beads of Ruin ability a Booster Energy speed Flutter Mane is used as a form of speed control for Chi-Yu while still being able to dish out insane amounts of damage. Going away from the special attackers, we can see a much more interesting strategy with Baxcalibur. This Baxcalibur utilizes a Swords Dance set furthering the idea of "kill me before I kill you", and in tandem with Iron Hands Fake Out for disruption it's entirely possible to get Swords Dance off with Baxcalibur. Choice Scarf Landorus-Therian then finishes off the team as a sort of emergency Iron Hands check, as well as filling the role of decently bulky immediate speed control.

:Flutter mane: :Chi yu: :dondozo: :tatsugiri-stretchy: :ninetales-alola: :iron hands:
Dozo Giri + Aurora Veil Fat by Topperlecat (E)
The Commander Dondozo teams seem to be here to stay as we have two winning submissions this week utilizing this strategy! This Dondozo sports a Tera-Poison to give it resistances to the powerful grass attacks in the metagame, most notably from Ogerpon. An additional benefit of Tera-Poison is the resistance to Fairy which grants Dondozo a super favorable matchup against Flutter Mane. The rest of the team is a combination of bulky Pokemon and straight up wall breakers. Assault Vest Iron Hands with Aurora Veil Ninetales-Alola grants unrivaled levels of bulk that can wear down opposing teams for Commander Dondozo to clean up. In the case of a terrible matchup for Commander Dondozo, the team can use a second strategy of raw power with Flutter Mane plus Chi-Yu to power through teams. A great team made by Topperzecat that truly deserves to be featured on this weeks Teams of the Week!

WEEK 5

:cresselia: :flutter mane: :iron hands: :ursaluna: :sinistcha: :heatran:
Cress Luna + Sinistcha Balance by babiwi bewey (E)
Semi Trick Room teams were all the rage in regulation D and typically paired with Tornadus Tailwind, this time around in Regulation E Babiwi Bewey is using a Cresselia Trick Room team with Sinistcha over the usual Tornadus! The reason for this is likely because of the rampant use of Tailwind from Tornadus and Roaring Moon on top of the decline in Trick Room from the transition from Regulation D to E. While it may seem redundant to use multiple Trick Room pokemon on the same team, Sinistcha and Cresselia both cover a variety of matchups and counter widley different pokemon. The team is surprisingly tanky for such offensive powerhouses, Heatran has heavy special attack investment but with the support of Cresselia and Hospitality from Sinistcha you are able to sustain Heatran's health long term. The same can be said for Ursaluna who has problems with longevity from Flame Orb but with the option for multiple healers to cover a variety of matchups it's not an issue. Iron Hands rounds out the team well with general disruption in Fake Out allowing for Trick Room to be consistently used on turn 1.

:farigiraf: :iron hands: :urshifu: :chien-pao: :tornadus: :flutter mane:
Scarf Watershifu + Farig Offense by fyfyy (E)
We are returning once again to the Regulation D look alike teams (this is not a bad thing!) with fyfyy submission this week and this team checks literally all the boxes. Farigiraf gives great insurance against Trick Room centric teams, and denies priority which since Regulation E has become quite common particularly with Rillaboom. Scarf Urshifu-Rapid-Strike is a great form of speed control with the lack of Tailwind on this team, and the combination of Scarf Urshifu-Rapid-Strike with Chien-Pao's Sword of Ruin is a scary combination. Overall a great fundamentally sound team which is all you really need in a meta as dynamic in Regulation E!

WEEK 6

:sylveon: :incineroar: :ogerpon-wellspring: :landorus: :farigiraf: :rillaboom:
Sylveon Balance by Viaan (F)
We begin the return of Teams of the Week with a super cool Sylveon Balance by viaan . The team relies on abusing Sylveon's tremendous power and bulk after Calm Mind boost. However Sylveon's major weakness is the defense stat, but this sylveon is EV'd to survive strong physical attacks like Tera-Water boosted Surging Strikes from Urshifu-Rapid. To offset the lack of power from defensive EV's Sylveon has a Pixie plate to pick up crucial KO's. While a double into Sylveon can threaten it, there's plenty of disruption with Rillaboom Fake Out, Incineroar Fake Out, and Ogerpon-Wellspring follow me. Speed control on paper may seem like a big issue for team, but Farigiraf with Trick Room has this covered very well. Overall it's a wonderfully thought out team boasting the top picks of the regulation that help give Sylveon the edge it needs to put in some work!

:chien-pao: :Dragonite: :Landorus: :Incineroar: :Amoonguss: :Urshifu:
Paonite Balance by Insertable194 (SoulboyVGC) (F)
The Paonite playstyle is back in regulation F but this time with a few newer, cooler friends to support the core! This team by SoulboyVGC uses the new options of Incineroar and Landorus-Incarnate to give further defensive backbone, along with a strong special attacking presence. Although this team lacks Trick Room or Tailwind the team does fine into either matchups. Dragonite and Chien-Pao don't mind Tailwind due to priority Extreme Speed, and Focus Sash Chien-Pao forcing double targets. As for Trick Room Amoonguss is a great countermeasure against Trick Room since it has fast sleep while it's active, and can redirect attacks to stall if necessary. Lastly Urshifu-Rapid-Strike helps fix the issue of Specs Flutter Manes, and Focus Sash Urshifu-Single Strikes from tearing holes into the team.

:Rillaboom: :Flutter mane: :incineroar: :urshifu: :raging bolt: :Ogerpon-Wellspring:
Calm Mind Bolt Offense by Thacrow (F)
Our final team this week is by thacrow utilizing a Calm Mind Raging Bolt offense! This team is quite compact in terms of defensive backbone meaning you'll have to play precisely with the incineroar, Rillaboom, Raging Bolt core. However the payoff is quite significant at the higher levels of play, as it's difficult to manage a Calm Mind boosted Raging Bolt with allies such as Urshifu-Single-Strike or Choice Specs Flutter Mane. With even just a few turns going correct you'll be in the driver seat with little possible opposition to prevent your momentum. This team even has ways to deter common issue Raging Bolt has such as the matchup into Amoonguss and Landorus. With Taunt Incineroar for Amoonguss and Fake out or Choice Specs Flutter Mane to cover Landorus, both threats are more than manageable for this team.

WEEK 7

:gouging fire: :ogerpon-wellspring: :flutter mane: :dragonite: :amoonguss: :kingambit:
Howl Gouging Fire offense by Nosnort (F)
This team by Nosnort is built around Gouging Fire's great bulk, and capability of boosting it's allies offenses with Howl. The team has plenty of strong physical attackers to abuse Howl, with the likes of Kingambit and Dragonite most notably. After gaining boost on Gouging Fire or on another physical attacker, there's plenty of disruption with Follow me and Spore to give your offensive partners further longevity. The team is very reliant on priority with Kingambit Sucker Punch and Dragonite Extreme Speed, however Dragonite's Ice Spinner threatens to remove Psychic Terrain giving better speed control into the Psyspam matchup.

:gouging fire: :ting-lu: :amoonguss: :porygon2: :ogerpon-wellspring: :kingambit:
P2 + Ting-Lu fat by Draxolotl (F)
Ironically this team is quite similar to the former team by Nosnort, however Draxolotl's version is quite bulky in comparison. The idea is the same, Gouging Fire's natural bulk and Howl giving its allies relevant offensive boost. While its the same idea the execution is much more different, this Gouging Fire has more attack EV's along with an Assault Vest Ting-Lu to further deny special attacking threats. Porygon 2 is added as well to give a Trick Room mode, since this team doesn't have nearly as much priority speed control as the former. There's tons of other differences such as Rocky Helmet on Amoonguss and a defensive Tera-Dragon on Kingambit that make it stand out from the first team. Both versions have their strengths and weaknesses and it's great to see the variety that Gouging Fire has to offer in the Regulation F metagame.

WEEK 8

:Lunala: :ursaluna-bloodmoon: :ogerpon-wellspring: :urshifu: :incineroar: :amoonguss:
Double Moon Trick Room Balance by Loataee (G)
This week starts off with a team by Loataee using two moon based Pokemon, while still being quite good! Lunala uses a Power Herb Meteor Beam set, giving it a strong initial attack while boosting its special attack. That boost when paired with Trick Room gives Lunala great sweeping capabilities, and Loatee further abuses this by pairing Lunala with another strong Trick Room Pokemon Ursaluna-Bloodmoon. The team then supports the offensive Pokemon with disruption in Spore Amoonguss and Fake Out Incineroar. Lastly the team has two powerful Pokemon that are fine outside of Trick Room, Urshifu-Single-Strike and Ogerpon-Wellspring. This gives the team further flexibility on what you can bring, incase Trick Room isn't very good against the opposing team.

Calyrex-Ice Trick Room Balance by Gotty The Second (G)
We see the first showing of Calyrex-Ice on Teams of the Week, with this Balance by gotty the second ! The team stars the Restricted Calyrex-Ice alongside popular Trick Room Pokemon like Amoonguss, Farigiraf, and Ursaluna-Bloodmoon. The former two help safely get Trick Room up whether its Amoonguss Rage Powder redirecting for Calyrex-Ice, or Farigiraf setting up Trick Room instead of Calyrex-Ice. From there we have the obligatory special Trick Room pressure of Ursaluna-Bloodmoon, which also doubles as immunity against Astral Barrage which scares Calyrex-Ice. Incineroar is the final supporting Pokemon, using Assault Vest as the team lacks a dedicated special sponge. Lastly Urshifu-Rapid-Strike with a Choice Scarf gives you a speed control option outside of Trick Room, incase it's too difficult to set up.

:Ho-Oh: :Flutter Mane: :amoonguss: :incineroar: :ting-lu: :urshifu:
Ho-Oh bulky balance by Tb0lt (G)
The final team is the bulkiest of them all, a Ho-Oh bulky balance built by Tbolt ! This team is structured around not just Ho-Oh but the core of Ho-Oh, Ting-Lu, and Amoonguss. Together these three are almost impossible to break without set up moves, or some sort of support options like Helping Hand. While stall typically means dealing no damage back, these three specifically in Ho-Oh and Ting-Lu still deal quite a lot. The remaining team is built to coincide this core, with Choice Specs Flutter Mane most notably for dealing large damage. Choice Scarf Urshifu-Rapid-Strike is here for the speed control, as the team lacks Trick Room or Tailwind. Lastly Incineroar rounds out the team to give a better matchup against Calyrex-Ice, Calyrex-Shadow, and a way to offensively handle Amoonguss without worrying about Spore.

WEEK 9

:miraidon: :iron valiant: :ogerpon-wellspring: :gholdengo: :landorus-therian: :chi-yu:
Miraidon + Scarf Chi-Yu offense by TheLoanRanger (G)
For week 9 we have a Miraidon Electric Terrain team by TheLoanRanger , using creative team choices like Landorus-Therian and Gholdengo! Miraidon is clearly the star of the team, being the strongest damage dealer on the team, while giving Iron Valiant stat boost through the Hadron Engine ability. The rest of the team is built to support Miraidon as it's the main source of damage. Chi-Yu gives Miraidon extra damage with Beads of Ruin, while its Choice Scarf allows Chi-Yu to outspeed certain threats like Calyrex-Shadow or Zacian-Crowned that would threaten Miraidon. Ogerpon-Wellspring does great into Groudon, one of Miraidon's problem matchups, and Follow Me can give Miraidon an extra turn to get further damage. Landorus-Therian and Gholdengo function as the teams glue with Assault Vest Landorus being the teams major defensive backbone, while Gholdengo offers key immunities to several typing's and moves. Iron Valiant is the final supportive Pokemon, that with increased speed can get immediate stat drops and protect it's allies from spread moves like Astral Barrage, with Wide Guard.

:Groudon: :Incineroar: :farigiraf: :amoonguss: :mienshao: :flutter mane:
Groudon Coaching Balance by Loataee (G)
This is the final team of this week by Loataee and it features a very powerful Groudon balance, using the support Pokemon Mienshao! Very little things in Regulation G can take a boosted Precipice Blades from Groudon, and Mienshao's coaching can secure this turn 1! In addition Groudon's weakness to Calyrex-Ice and Calyrex-Shadow are removed with Mienshao's Wide Guard, giving Groudon a more safe time against those Restricteds. The rest of the team is similarly built to support Groudon, while also abusing it's Drought ability. Flutter mane is a great example of the latter with Protosynthesis boosting it's speed, while keeping the Choice Specs damage output creating a very scary offensive Pokemon. Incineroar is a key support Pokemon on the team, giving another option for Fake Out along with the teams sole Dark type. Farigiraf is the team's second form of speed control besides Flutter Mane, threatening Trick Room giving Groudon the speed it needs to sweep. Lastly Amoonguss acts as the teams major redirector, and slow Spore allows you to outspeed Calyrex-Ice in Trick Room which could be a big threat.

WEEK 10

:calyrex-shadow: :indeedee-f: :gallade: :incineroar: :ursaluna-bloodmoon: :ogerpon-wellspring:
Caly-S Semi TR Psyspam by A0Deko (G)
Psyspam has not been an archetype showcases on this project thus far, but this Calyrex-Shadow Psyspam by A0Deko is extremely powerful! While having Trick Room alongside such a strong restricted like Calyrex-Shadow may seem strange, it forces the opponent to guess how you will start the match. It's very difficult to cover for an Incineroar plus Calyrex-Shadow lead, along with a potential Indeedee plus Gallade lead. Most ways of preventing with Trick Room is threatening with strong pokemon along with spread damage, however Calyrex-Shadow can outspeed those offensive powerhouses and threaten kills. Even Dark types like Incineroar or Chi-Yu are now threatened by Calyrex-Shadows Tera Blast Fighting, and the team has other ways to ensure Trick Room like Follow Me Ogerpon-Wellspring. Lastly the team has a very real way to abuse Trick Room through Ursaluna-Bloodmoon.

:zamazenta: :gouging fire: :chien-pao: :flutter mane: :amoonguss: :ting-lu:
Zamazenta Gouging Howl Balance by PokeMooney (G)
Gouging Fire fat balance has been great since Regulation F and the new addition of Zamazenta furthers the defensive and offensive capabilities of this team structure. Made by PokeMooney, this team features a strong defensive core of Amoonguss, Ting-Lu, and Zamazenta. The team is offensively formidable as well with Chien-Pao and Choice Specs Flutter Mane for high damage output. Most notably both help with the speed control issue that could come with defensive anchors like Ting-Lu and Amoonguss. Lastly Gouging Fire's howl gives way to stronger Behemoth Bash's for Zamazenta, and Gouging Fire threatens disruption Pokemon like Amoonguss that normally bother Zamazenta.

:koraidon: :chi-yu: :amoonguss: :tornadus: :flutter mane: :Raging Bolt:
Koraidon + Specs Chi-Yu by Bright Size (G)
This team by Bright Size made day 2 at Indianapolis Regionals, using a strong offensive strategy around Koraidon's sun. Sun from Orichalcum Pulse enables Flutter Mane and Raging Bolt's Protosynthesis ability, boosting their special attack. Tacked on with Chi-Yu's Beads of Ruin, this team has two ways to increase the teams overall damage output which is something that most opposing teams cannot cover consistently. Of course with so much focus on damage, speed can very well become an issue which is why this team has Tailwind Tornadus. Tornadus also gives a way to prevent opposing weather resets by manually setting Sunny Day. Lastly Amoonguss is there for disruption in Spore and Rage Powder, which can give the team some longevity.

WEEK 11

:baxcalibur: :ninetales-alola: :milotic: :skeledirge: :rillaboom: :sneasler:
Baxcalibur Snow by fangame10 (H)
This take on Snow allowed fangame10 to climb to number 1 on the Showdown ladder, using a strong core of Aurora Veil setting Ninetales-Alola and Dragon Dance Baxcalibur to shrug off attacks and sweep through teams. Skeledirge is strong into opposing set up sweepers such as Volcarona and Archaludon thanks to Unaware, all while boosting its own Special Attack with Torch Song. Rillaboom's Grassy Surge helps extend the lives of bulky Pokemon, while also offering positioning reprieve and set up opportunities with Fake Out. Sneasler allow's the team to beat otherwise difficult matchups in Clefable, Primarina and Tyranitar. Milotic offers sleep support with the Coil Hypnosis combo, while also strengthening the teams Snarl and Paldean Tauros matchups.

:dondozo: :tatsugiri: :weezing-galar: :corviknight: :garchomp: :slaking:
Weezing-Galar Hyper Offense by Topperlecat (H)
This aggressive Weezing-Galar team by Topperlecat utilises strong attackers like Tera Ground Choice Band Garchomp and Slaking to punch holes into the opponents team in the early game, allowing omni-boosted Dondozo or Corviknight to clean up in the endgame. Tera Flying on Weezing-Galar and Tatsugiri allows Garchomp to spam Earthquake freely in the lead, while both Corviknight and Choice Scarf Tatsugiri offer speed control with Tailwind and Icy Wind respectively. Sash Weezing-Galar give the team a strong Psyspam Matchup, as it both denies Psychic Terrain and is difficult to knock out quickly, while Tera Steel Safety Goggles Dondozo can run through teams whose Dondozo check is Clear Smog Amoonguss.

WEEK 12

:Archaludon: :Pelipper: :Amoonguss: :Basculegion: :Gholdengo: :Incineroar:
Archaludon Rain by camala64 (H)
Camala64's team gives a unique take on Archaludon Rain, which has shown itself to be one of the strongest archetypes since the beginning of the regulation. Snarl, along with Assault Vest, patch up Archaludon's frailer Special Defence, so that with Stamina boosts it is able to be a tank in the truest sense of the word. Rocky Helmet on Amoonguss deters Population Bombs from Maushold, as well as acting as a Fake Out deterrent, while Tera Psychic gives it an easier matchup against Indeedee psyspam teams. Flip Turn from Swift Swim Choice Band Basculegion and Parting Shot from Incineroar form a powerful pivoting core, which enables Basculegion to stay healthy to spam Last Respects in the endgame.

:Gholdengo: :dragonite: :incineroar: :ursaluna-bloodmoon: :amoonguss: :farigiraf:
Dragonite Tail-room by Faulty Avalugg (H)
This team, by Faulty Avalugg, uses Trick Room from Farigiraf and Tailwind from a bulky Multiscale Dragonite to gain speed control. Additionally, once the speed control is gained, both setters are able to put out offensive pressure with Throat Spray Hyper Voice and Tera Flying Tera Blast respectively. Tera Dragon also allows Farigiraf a more favourable matchup into the Eruption spammers Torkoal and Typhlosion-H. Ursaluna-BM's speed tier allows it to operate in both Trick Room and Tailwind, while it's Ground STAB is offensively excellent into the meta right now, allowing it to threaten bulky steel types like Archaludon and Gholdengo. The team's Gholdengo has Tera Fairy, which gives it a much more comfortable Kingambit matchup, while also taking advantage of the Archaludon dropping Flash Cannon for Snarl trend. Amoonguss provides healing with Pollen Puff and redirection support, while Incineroar gives additional support with Fake Out and eases positioning woes with Parting Shot.

WEEK 13

:gothitelle: :azumarill: :muk-alola: :ursaluna-bloodmoon: :whimsicott: :incineroar:
Azumarill Perish-trap by KooksVGC (H)
This team, by KooksVGC, combines Gothitelle's Shadow Tag with Azumarill's Perish Song, which forces opponents to faint if they can't KO Gothitelle before its perish counter hits 1. This is difficult with Protect, damage reduction in Intimidate, and Fake Out from both Incineroar and Gothitelle keeping Gothitelle safe. Incineroar has Will-O-Wisp over Knock Off for additional damage reduction, while Flare Blitz is kept in order to threaten to OHKO Gholdengo. Muk-Alola is used as its Power of Alchemy ability allows it to gain Shadow Tag if Gothitelle does go down next to it, while it can also gain Huge Power from Azumarill in order to deal massive damage. The team also contains a faster mode with turbo Ursaluna-Bloodmoon and Whimsicott, which allows the team to beat Gholdengo and Incineroar consistently, as these Pokemon can otherwise evade Shadow Tag with its Ghost typing and Parting Shot respectively.

WEEK 14

:tyranitar: :sinistcha: :tauros-paldea-aqua: :kommo-o: :volcarona: :clefable:
Tyranitar Balance by Tb0lt (H)
This team, by Tb0lt, uses Clefable, Tauros-Aqua, Volcarona and Sinistcha for a classic fire-water-grass-fairy core. Tyranitar was picked for it's disruptive abilities against Rain, Sun, and 'psy-spam' teams, while giving additional utility with Knock Off. Volcarona is strong into special attacking oriented teams, while Kommo-o is strong into slower physical attackers like Kingambit and Ursaluna. The team has double redirection in the form of Clefable's Follow Me and Sinistcha's Rage Powder, both of which also have speed control options in Icy Wind and Trick Room. These traits allow for Volcarona and Kommo-o to set up much easier and potentially sweep the game. Both set up sweepers have great staying power with leftovers, sitrus berry, giga drain and additional recovery from Sinistcha's Hopsitality. Tauros-Paldea-Aqua can give more immediate offensive pressure, while its Intimidate helps patch up Volcarona's frailer defence.

WEEK 15

:rillaboom: :volcarona: :ninetales-alola: :tauros-paldea-aqua: :archaludon: :kingambit:
Scarf Volcarona Offense by Draxolotl (H)
This team uses a meta call in Tera Fairy Choice Scarf Volcarona to beat the format’s speedsters like Sneasler and Dragapult. Rillaboom and Tauros-Paldea-Aqua complete a fire water grass core, while offering supportive options in Fake Out and Intimidate respectively. Ninetales-A is able to check Dondozo with Encore-Disable, forcing it to struggle. Tera Water Kingambit acts as a check to Sun-Room Teams. Archaludon gives the team additional options in the rain matchup, as well as being strong into solo-Dondozo.

:chandelure: :sylveon: :talonflame: :dragapult: :electabuzz: :decidueye-hisui:
Specs Sylveon Tailroom by Insertable194 (H)
This team uses a variety of speed control in order to position Sylveon in to deal massive damage, boosted by Tera Fairy and Choice Specs. On top of this, there is a lot of Gholdengo hate, as one of the only meta Pokémon can resist it’s fairy moves, such as Talonflame, Decidueye-H and Tera Ghost Dragapult. Chandelure can set up Trick Room, while also being able to stop Trick Room reliability with Imprison and a Focus Sash, while it’s high Special Attack and speed tier also allows it to operate in Tailwind. It uses Tera Dark, which along with its Focus Sash, improves the teams psyspam matchup. The Talonflame has Sunny Day, which gives the Talonflame and Chandelure lead more flexibility for boosted Heat Waves, which being especially potent into rain teams. Dragapult can offer more immediate damage, while also allowing teams to be less reliant on it’s speed control, while Decidueye-H is a Dondozo counter with Haze, Leaf Blade and Triple Arrows.

:porygon2: :incineroar: :Amoonguss: :ursaluna: :rillaboom: :sneasler:
Porygon2 Balance by Blueyamadafr (H)
This P2 balance team uses double Fake Out to reliable get Trick Room up, and keep it’s members healthy with Amoonguss’ Pollen Puff and Porygon2’s Recover respectively. Once Trick Room goes up, Ursaluna can sweep with guts boosted Facade. Ursaluna sports a Dragon Tera, which strengthens its matchups into Sun teams and opposing fire-water-grass cores. Sneasler can provide a faster mode, especially with Grassy Seed activating unburden, with its strong Close Combats, as well as running Throat Chop to allow it to check Gholdengo.

WEEK 16

:sneasler: :rillaboom: :incineroar: :gastrodon-east: :farigiraf: :hydreigon:
Sneasler Gastrodon Balance by SupaJello (H)
SupaJello's Tera Flying Acrobatics Sneasler is able to sweep through teams once it gets a Swords Dance off due to it's high attack and high speed, boosted by Unburden after Grassy Seed activates allowing it to outspeed the whole format. Farigiraf and Life Orb Gastrodon are able to form a potent core in Trick Room, where Gastrodon can utilise it's Ice Beam and STAB Earth Power combonation to hit 9 types for super effective, including the meta's abundance of steel and dragon types, while also matching up very positively into rain teams. Rillaboom and Incineroar are great enablers of both setting up Trick Room with Farigiraf, setting up Swords Dance with Sneasler, while giving Gastrodon breathing room to get Recovers off, which can make it close to unkillable when played right. Hydreigon is able to patch up some weak matchups, including Corviknight and omni-boosted Dondozo.

:blastoise: :rillaboom: :kingambit: :sneasler: :dragonite: :magmar:
Shell Smash Blastoise by Magnetman210 (H)
Magnetman210's Blastoise, which has a strong spread move in Water Spout, can sweep through teams when positioned correctly after a Shell Smash boosting its speed and offenses. Rillaboom's and Sneasler's Fake Out and Magmar's Follow Me both are both able to enable this, while Rillaboom's Grassy Glide can break the Sash on Pokemon that would otherwise survive such as Focus Sash Sneasler, while it's Wood Hammer threatens to OHKO bulky water types such as Primarina. Tera Stellar Sneasler threatens to OHKO Archaludon, while it's fast Coaching can set up Kingambit and Scale Shot Dragonite. Black Glasses Kingambit needs no introduction to those familar with the meta, while Dragonite's Haze enables it to counter Commander-boosted Dondozo. The rental code for this team is VQ7QMX.

WEEK 17

:dragonite: :gholdengo: :sneasler: :rillaboom: :magmar: :ninetales-alola:
Dragonite Magmar Balance by Cdogp (H)
Dragonite gives both supportive and offensive options, with Loaded Dice Scale Shot able to OHKO Sneasler through Focus Sash, and Haze able to remove boosts from set up sweepers such as Volcarona, as well as remove the omni-boost of the infamous Dondozo. Stomping tantrum is able to hit the Steel types that resist Scale Shot, while also doubling in power in case of a Scale Shot miss. Sneasler is able to help Gholdengo set up with Fake Out, threaten the Kingambits which are strong into Gholdengo, while coaching is strong onto Dragonite and Rillaboom. Magmar can provide redirection support, as well as threaten the many physical attackers in the meta with Will-O-Wisp. Ninetales-Alola is able to turn off Pelipper’s Rain, while also giving screen support with Aurora Veil, with Never Melt Ice chosen for the damage boost to Blizzard and Freeze Dry.

WEEK 18

:ursaluna: :incineroar: :porygon2: :Amoonguss: :gholdengo: :dragonite:
Dragonite-P2 Balance by kidturtle (H)
This balance team features a classic P2 Trick Room mode with Incineroar for Fake Out support and slow pivoting to Ursaluna, allowing it to get in safely. Amoonguss is able to keep everything healthy with Pollen Puff, and has a unique psychic Tera. This allowing it to matchup better into Psyspam teams, as it allows it to resist Psychic without becoming weak to Sneasler’s Close Combat and Hatterene’s Dazzling Gleam. Porygon2’s Tera Fighting and Dragonite’s Low Kick help check Kingambit, which can otherwise cause issues for the team. Dragonite has Tailwind which enables a faster mode. Ursaluna is given enough speed to take advantage of this, and is able to spam Earthquake freely next to Dragonite. Gholdengo gives an added Spore immunity, and is able to use its strong defensive typing along with support from Amoonguss and Incineroar to set up Nasty Plots to sweep.

WEEK 19

:charizard: :garchomp: :jumpluff: :torkoal: :indeedee-f: :gallade:
Charizard Garchomp Sun-Room by Nosnort (H)
This sun team uses the absurd damage from Choice Specs Charizard in Sun to blow through teams. Garchomp is able to check one of Charizard's only checks in Multiscale Dragonite. Jumpluff can provide speed control with Tailwind and put opponents to sleep with Sleep Powder. Additionally, it threatens notable chip onto the water-type that resist Charizard's fire-type moves with Leaf Storm. Sunny Day enables secondary weather control, which is especially important against Rain Teams. Additionally, this team has a Trick Room mode with Indeedee-F, Gallade and Torkoal, which opponents must respect. Indeedee-F's psychic terrain can also block Priority, meaning Charizard is less reliant on it's Ghost Tera stop Fake Out.

:ursaluna-bloodmoon: :grimmsnarl: :archaludon: :ninetales-alola: :annihilape: :magmar:
Ursaluna-BM Screens by CabbageConnoisseur (H)
Assault Vest Ursaluna-BM becomes incredibly bulky with Screen Support from Grimmsnarl, especially if you can't nail it down with a super effective attack. Tera Ghost makes this very difficult to do, while Grimmsnarls' Thunder Wave acts as a pseudo Tailwind, which can allow Ursaluna to outspeed and OHKO frailer pokemon with Bloodmoom. Magmar and Ursaluna is also incredibly difficult to get through, as few spread moves hit Ursaluna for good damage, giving Ursaluna-BM great staying power with Follow Me support. Stalwart Archaludon improves the team's matchup against magmar balance teams, as it is able to ignore Follow Me. Choice Specs Ninetales is able to threaten Garchomp, while giving the team additional speed control in Icy Wind. Annihilape can be cheekily swapped in to Snarl from opposing Archualdon, while also being able Bulk Up while behind Grimmsnarls' Screens.

WEEK 20

:kommo-o: :electabuzz: :rillaboom: :sinistcha: :ceruledge: :gastrodon:
Kommo-o and Ceruledge Set-up by bidoofutopia (H)
Throat Spray Kommo-o is able to take advantage of the excellent range of support given in this Set-up Sweeper styled team. Rillaboom's Fake Out can buy a turn for setting up a Clangorous Soul, after which Kommo-o becomes increadibly fast and strong. Tera-Fire Flamethrower allows Kommo-o to threaten Gholdengo and Kingambit, the most relevant pokemon in the format which resist it's STAB Clanging Scales, as well as turning off it's weakness to Fairy. Rillaboom and Sinistcha can heal up Kommo-o with Grassy Terrain, Hospitality and Life Dew, while both also outspeed and threaten to OHKO Primarina, which can wall out Kommo-o, Haze away boosts and threaten it for super effective damage. Electabuzz can also provide rediection for Kommo-o or Ceruledge with Follow Me, while Feint can prevent the opponent from 'staggering' KOs with Protect. Alternatively, Ceruledge can be used in matchups which don't suit Kommo-o, most notably Tera Fairy Quiver Dance Volcarona, setting in similar fashion to Kommo-o with Bulk Up. Bitter Blade gives Ceruledge recovery, while Shadow Sneak can finish of low health foes. Life Orb Gastrodon is a personal favoruite of mine, having an excellent matchup into Rain Teams plaguing the meta. Yawn is excellent in the endgame and against Commander-trapped Dondozo, while Earth Power threatens Archaludon for massive damage.

:calyrex-shadow: :rillaboom: :pelipper: :clefairy: :urshifu-rapid-strike: :landorus:
Grassy Seed Giga Drain Caly-S by Red Fang X (G)
This Caly-S is boosted specially through Calm Mind and physically through Grassy Seed to make very bulky, and with recovery from a Tera Boosted Grassy Terrain Boosted Giga Drain this restricted can be very tricky to take down. Tera Grass has the added benefit that it allows Caly-S to resist Urshifu's Surging Strikes, which can otherwise hit through it's defence boost. Pelipper can bring the rain while Scarf Urshifu-Rapid-Strike brings the pain, to give the team a mode with more immidiate offensive pressure. Additioanlly, Pelipper's Wide Guard can help against spread spamming restricteds - most notably opposing Caly-S. Clefairy gives the team a better ability to maneuver in Trick Room with it's After You underspeeding key threats such as Caly-I, while it's support with Follow Me helps against Koraidon, Zamazenta and Miraidon. Landorus allows the team to break through balance cores of Rillaboom and Incineroar, as well threatening to OHKO Miraidon in and out of Tera with either Earth Power or Sludge Bomb.

:terapagos: :incineroar: :rillaboom: :ogerpon-wellspring: :urshifu: :comfey:
Comfey and Terapagos Set-up by buckati (G)
Rillaboom and Incineroar give Terapagos ample time to set up with Calm Mind, enabling it to become a threatening sweeper. Terapagos sports a clear amulet, which can stop special attack and speed drops from Snarl, Parting Shot and Electoweb respectively. The real stregth of this team comes from it's ability to reset Terapagos' Tera Shell with Grassy Terrain and Floral Healing from Rillaboom and Comfey Respectively, significantly reducing the damage that Terapagos recieves. Comfey also has Trick Room, which can be used in matchups with otherwise has the team at a speed disadvantage. Follow Me from Ogerpon-W is a key tool to stop Encore from Whimsicott and Iron Valiant, as well as provinging essential relief against Zamazenta and Koraidon. Urshifu-Single Strike can force Caly-S to Tera, leaving it vunerable to Terapagos' Tera Starstorm, as well as threatening big damage onto Zamazenta with Close Combat.
As a side note, thank you for all your submissions this week as we had record numbers! There were many excellent teams we had to turn down so feel free to resubmit them next week. As a final reminder, next week is the last week we are accepting teams for Reg H, so make sure to submit any teams you have been hiding from us up to now!

WEEK 21

:pelipper: :archaludon: :rillaboom: :sneasler: :incineroar: :gholdengo:
Double Steel Rain-Balance by SeaWolfMikess (H)
There is perhaps no better way to end Regulation H with a rain team, as the archetype has been ever-present throughout the regulation. Here a Choice Scarf Pelipper and speedy Archaludon can subvert the opponents expectations, being able to hit hard and fast as opposed to the bulky setup opponent may be used too. Power Herb Archaludon means it can set up with Electro Shot regardless of the weather, which makes positioning much easier. A classic Fake Out pivot core of Incineroar and Rillaboom also help you position your offensive threats, while also enabling the Gholdengo Room to set up Nasty Plots. Sneasler continues to threaten opposing Archaludon and Ursaluna-BM with Close Combat, while Tera Dark Throat Chop is chosen to aid matchup against Indeedee-M and Gholdengo.

:sneasler: :corviknight: :excadrill: :tyranitar: :weezing-galar: :vivillon:
Misty Terrain Sand Hybrid by RebL123 (H)
This team, which takes inspiration from Nils Dunlop’s regional winning team. Coviknight is a great set up sweeper as it’s natural bulk, as well as great defensive typing, gives it great staying power. On top of this, Bulk Up makes it tougher to remove on the Physical Side, while Misty Terrain makes it harder to remove on the Special Side, while also preventing Status and reducing damage from Dragon moves if it chooses to Tera. The team has a classic Excadrill and Tyranitar Sand mode, while both Sneasler and Choice Specs Weezing-Galar threaten the Grass types such as Rillaboom which otherwise matchup well into Sand. Excadrill and Vivillon also form a potent duo, and the sleep support and redirection will often give Excadrill the room to get up a Swords Dance.

:calyrex-ice: :raging bolt: :urshifu: :skeledirge: :rillaboom: :ursaluna:
Calyrex-I Trick Room Balance by UGCL (G)
This Calyrex-I team uses Calyrex-I and Ursaluna as powerful sweepers in Trick Room to break through teams. Combined, Ice and Ground hit a massive 9 types for super effective, and are resisted by nothing, making this duo very difficult to position around if your opponent is careless in their positioning. The team is rounded out with a balanced core with Raging Bolt and Rillaboom, who can hit the Water Types (or force a Tera) such as Kyogre for Calyrex-I, and the niche pick Skeledirge. It’s typing allows it to wall out Zamazenta, and threaten to burn with Will-o-Wisp, or get big damage with Torch Song. This is also applies to Chien-Pao, which Zamazenta teams often rely on to beat Ghost types.
