This bull may not give you wings, but it will give you a formidable wallbreaker. With a desirable Speed tier, decent Attack stat, and good coverage movepool to boot, it thrives in the current NU metagame. Counterplay for Tauros is almost nonexistent, with its coverage moves hitting threats that Body Slam can't such as Doublade, Diancie, and Copperajah. It even naturally outspeeds common threats like Goodra, Rotom-C, and Drapion as well. Tauros also breaks through so-called physical walls such as Sylveon, Vileplume, and even Vaporeon, which is 2HKOed after Stealth Rock. Additionally, Throat Chop erases Golurk and Decidueye, and it deals decent damage to Doublade and Bronzong as well. While the Speed tier is great, it does get outsped by foes like Salazzle, Starmie, and Choice Scarf Passimian, which can either heavily damage Tauros or OHKO it outright. A defensive core that includes Xatu or Spikes Garbodor helps with Tauros's Fighting weakness, while pivots like Rotom-C and Talonflame bring Tauros in safely. Lastly, there are some walls like Mudsdale and Escavalier that Tauros can't break through efficiently, so a partner like Decidueye is appreciated.

To round out Tauros's moveset, Throat Chop erases Golurk, Decidueye, and deals decent damage to Doublade. (Mention bronzong there, thats the most important target). While the Speed tier is great, it does get outsped by stuff like Salazzle, Starmie, and Choice Scarf Passimian which can either heavily damage Tauros or OHKO it outright. A partner like Vaporeon pairs nicely with Tauros here to deal with such issues as well as provide clerical duties for Tauros. (I’d end the last sentence by vaguely talking about including a good defensive core, and then spend a little time here discussing pivots that can bring it into battle since it isn’t bulky and only has 1 resistance). Lastly, there are some walls like Mudsdale and Bronzong (bronzong isnt an issue, you can live body press easily and 2hko w throat chop. I’d change this to escav/talon). that Tauros can't break through efficiently. So, a partner like Rotom-C or Decidueye is appreciated.
