Moves
=========
Taunt allows Tornadus-T to prevent entry hazards from setters like Garchomp, Heatran, and Clefable; recovery and status from Pokemon like Clefable, Serperior, and Chansey; and setup attempts from Pokemon such as Dragonite and Cloyster. U-turn is used to grab momentum, allowing a teammate to come in more safely especially on a target afflicted by Taunt; it also allows Tornadus-T to safely bring in Pokemon that don't like taking hits often such as Mega Medicham. Knock Off allows Tornadus-T to wear down foes by removing items such as Leftovers and Rocky Helmet from targets such as Clefable and Garchomp. Lastly, despite its low accuracy, Hurricane's power combined with Tornadus-T's high Special Attack stat makes it a threatening option, especially in conjunction with its confusion chance. Air Slash can be run as an alternative for higher accuracy, but the loss of power means Tornadus-T can't threaten OHKOs on Pokemon such as Mega Lopunny, Serperior, and Mega Medicham.
Set Details
========
248 HP EVs maximize Tornadus-T's bulk, exacerbated further by its ability, Regenerator. Maximum Speed EVs let Tornadus-T outrun most of the unboosted metagame, allowing it to get off a fast Taunt against most setup sweepers and entry hazard setters. Rocky Helmet forces chip damage onto physical attackers such as Mega Lopunny.
Usage Tips
========
Taunt Tornadus-T has to be wary when facing strong special hits from Mega Alakazam, Keldeo, and Volcarona. Tornadus-T can often be used as a lead, since it can prevent early Stealth Rock with Taunt, spread Knock Off, or use a fast U-turn into a teammate with a better matchup against the foe. Tornadus-T can come in multiple times a game especially on contact attacks to spread chip damage with Rocky Helmet and its moves while being able to sustain itself with recovery from Regenerator. When using Tornadus-T, be wary of threats like Weavile, which outspeeds and can OHKO Tornadus-T, and Choice Band Tyranitar, which can Pursuit trap and OHKO it after Stealth Rock damage.
Team Options
========
Teammates like Volcarona and Dragonite appreciate Tornadus-T's ability to prevent entry hazards. Defensive Pokemon such as Rotom-W benefit from Tornadus-T's ability to deny setup attempts, thus making it easier to perform their role in defensively checking foes; they also form a VoltTurn core that allows for easy pivoting. Additionally, Rotom-W and Tornadus-T both beat each other's checks, since Rotom-W checks threats like Mega Metagross that otherwise wall and take advantage of Tornadus-T, while Tornadus-T checks Grass-types such as Serperior and Mega Venusaur that otherwise take advantage of Rotom-W. Excadrill is also a good teammate due to its access to Rapid Spin, which allows it to support Tornadus-T by removing Stealth Rock from the field. This is aided further by Excadrill's Rock resistance and Electric immunity, two of Tornadus-T's biggest weaknesses; in return, Tornadus-T supports Excadrill with its Fighting resistance and ability to take on the Grass-types that otherwise take advantage of it. Lastly, wallbreakers such as Mega Medicham and Choice Specs Keldeo appreciate Tornadus-T preventing recovery attempts from defensive Pokemon such as Clefable and Mega Latias, since with Taunt, Tornadus-T is able to check their common checks.
