SS OU Tapu Fini Sweep Team

Hi. Im Chefskier. I stoped playing showdown a few months ago and I'm finally getting back into it. I don't have much knowledge of the new meta game so I'm making my team based off on the meta game in October. Enjoy!

Tapu Fini @ Leftovers
Ability: Misty Surge
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 192 Def / 64 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Taunt
- Draining Kiss
- Scald

My first Pokemon I added to this team is obviously Tapu Fini as this team is a Tapu Fini sweep team. This set is a pretty standard Tapu Fini sweep set as I saw this same set testing this team. Calm mind is used to set up, Scald is for a reliable water type move, and Draining Kiss for recovery, and last but not least is Taunt, Taunt was CRUCIAL in testing. Once Misty Terrain wear off it was great stopping Pokemon from trying to status Tapu Fini. This helps against Pokemon like Slowbro who are trying to paralyze us. It also helps against Ferrothorn with Leech Seed.

Landorus-Therian @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 12 Def / 244 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Stone Edge
- Defog

Landorus-Therian is another Crucial Pokemon on this team. It's are only Pokemon with scarf and it's a switch in for Regieleki. Earthquake is for a high power physical stab move, U-turn is to switch into other Pokemon's on this team such as Choice Specs Regieleki, Stone Edge to hit flying types, and Defog is to get rid of hazards if Mandibuzz faints.

Mandibuzz @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 248 HP / 60 Def / 144 SpD / 56 Spe
Impish Nature
- Foul Play
- Roost
- Defog
- U-turn

Mandibuzz is always a Pokemon I consider putting on any team. It's super bulky, it's immune to two different types of attacks, and it can get rid of hazards. Foul Play is for revenge killing Pokemon who set up, Roost is for recovery, Mandibuzz is are main source of hazard removal so it has Defog, and U-turn is for the same reason ad Landorus-Therian.

Regieleki @ Choice Specs
Ability: Transistor
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Swift
- Rapid Spin

Regieleki's is mainly used to just do MASSIVE damage. Regieleki is also a great switch in on U-turn because U-turn breaks Focus Sash. Since Regieleki is EXTREMELY fast it can finish off teams easily. With Transistor plus Choice Specs this Pokemon is a huge threat to almost every team. Thunderbolt is the attack to spam, Volt Switch is to predict switches, Swift is to hit ground types, and Rapid Spin is are third way of getting rid of hazards if Landorus-Therian and Mandibuzz faint.

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Moonblast
- Soft-Boiled
- Thunder Wave
- Knock Off

Clefable is a Pokemon that almost every team uses. And thats because it's good. Clefable is are main switch in to Toxic or Leech Seed because of Magic Gaurd. Magic Gaurd is such a great ability that makes this Pokemon even harder to beat down. Moonblast is for a stab attack, Soft-Boiled is for recovery, Thunder Wave is to wear teams down fro a Tapu Fini sweep, and Knock Off is to knock off are opponents item.

Mew @ Red Card
Ability: Synchronize
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Spikes
- Stealth Rock
- Taunt
- Explosion

Mew is this team's lead Pokemon. This is just a standard Mew set I got in Smogon. Red Card is used to switch are opponent to a different Pokemon, that probably means they'll waist a turn switching back to their original Pokemon while we set up hazards. Stealth Rock and Spikes is important to wear down teams, Taunt is to prevent Pokemon from setting up while we put down hazards, and Explosion is for doing damage when Mew's purpose is done.

Overall I my first team was a success. It definitely needs some improvements but I'm happy with it. If you have some advice for this team I would appreciate if you could leave a reply on this post to help me out. Thanks for reading :)

Hi, that fini set is cool very cool, and it definitely caused me a lot of problems in the past! I would just like to say that mew probably isn't the best pick for setting up hazards for your team; as this version of mew is more meant to set up hazards for very offensive teams because it tends to die very fast, and cannot really set them multiple times. Meanwhile the rest of your team is more along balance lines, and will definitely feel being 5v6 once mew explodes. If you still want rocks+spikes, you probably want either skarmory or ferrothorn

Thanks you so much! I tried out Ferro on this team and it helped a lot. Also should I give ferro T wave. I tryed it with our t wave and with it and both ways were sucsesful so what do u think. Again tsm
