Swampert @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Flip Turn
- Knock Off

This axolotl is ready to skip around in the muddy waters of NU! Swampert is a crucial part of most teams thanks to its ability to compress the role of entry hazard setter, pivot, and item removal into one Pokemon. It leverages its fantastic typing, wonderful bulk, and Special Defense investment to tank hits from major threats such as Kilowattrel, Diancie, and Munkidori. Earthquake gives Swampert a powerful move to threaten the likes of Alolan Muk, Dragalge, and Incineroar, while Flip Turn allows it to pivot out of switch-ins such as Flygon and Amoonguss. Knock Off rids foes of their item, namely Heavy-Duty Boots users such as Kilowattrel, Scyther, and Avalugg, while also nailing Bronzong. Funnily enough, Flying-types such as Kilowattrel and Scyther are perfect partners for Swampert, as they threaten the Grass-types that aim to exploit its one weakness, while Swampert can tank Rock- and Fire-type moves aimed at them. Partners such as Munkidori and Porygon-Z appreciate Swampert's ability to bring them in safely via Flip Turn to threaten the foe with a hard-hitting STAB move.

Swampert is a crucial part of most teams thanks to its ability to compress the role of hazard setter, pivot, and item removal into one Pokemon. It leverages its fantastic typing alongside wonderful 100/90/90 bulk, and special defense investment, to thwart major threats such as Kilowattrel, Toxtricity Diancie Toxtricity is not thwarted by anything, and Raikou. Earthquake gives Swampert a powerful STAB to threaten the likes of Muk-Alola, Dragalge, and Incineroar while Flip Turn allows Swampert to pivot out of threats switchins such as Tsareena, Flygon, and Amoonguss. Knock Off rids opposing foes of their item, namely Heavy-Duty Boots users such as Kilowattrel, Scyther, and Avalugg. worth mentioning that it hits Bronzong asw Funnily enough, Flying-types such as Kilowattrel and Scyther are perfect partners for Swampert as they threaten the Grass-types that aim to exploit its one weakness while Swampert can tank Rock-type, and in Scyther's case Fire-type, moves aimed at them. Partners such as Incineroar and Amoonguss can form a FWG core with Swampert, covering each other's weaknesses extremely well while also providing multiple avenues to pivot and annoy the team.

idk if FWG is a GP standard but I'd rather mention threats swampert brings in via Flip turn rather than that tbh

Talked it over with Stories in Discord PMs so should be good for the GP Team to take a look :D
