Just mash Draco Meteor and Iron Hands should go down in 2 hits thanks to packing Tera Flying instead of Tera Fairy. About the only ways Iron Hands can avoid this 2HKO are if at least one Draco Meteor misses or if Walking Wake low rolls both times and Iron Hands gets a decent roll with Drain Punch - and all such chances are erased in Sun, which upgrades Draco Meteor to an OHKO and Hydro Steam to a near-guaranteed OHKO. The Modest variant 2HKOes Blissey most of the time with Tera Water Hydro Steam in Sun and is favoured by the occasional OU Sun team.

Click Bulk Up on Turn 1. Then, click Will-O-Wisp or Bitter Blade. Then, click whichever one of those moves you did not use last turn. Then, Bitter Blade it to death. Protect is for Leftovers recovery, but Boots can be run to avoid rocks and spikes. The only reason this isn’t a counter is because Wisp can miss and if Iron Hands goes for SD on the wisp turn, you’re not in a very good position. Ghost typing denies Drain Punch and Ice Punch. Tera Fire is to secure a kill where it would otherwise not be possible. The SpD EVs are to survive two Earth Powers from Kyurem so that this thing isn’t dead weight into other stuff but can be invested into Def to improve your matchup against Iron Hands as well as other physical threats.

88 Speed EVs are used to outspeed Iron Hands, with the remainder put into Def to gurarantee surviving Drain Punch or HP to nearly guarantee surviving a Drain Punch. Headlong Rush very obviously kills, Facade kills with Tera or after SR if Iron Hands has Teraed and has a favorable roll to kill with just a single layer of Spikes. If the switch is free, you can click Bulk Up to guarantee the kill with Facade and survive any attack. Tera Normal turns Facade into an OKO but Tera Ghost can be used to deny Drain Punch and kill with two Facades or Headlong Rush, while Tera Fighting can be used for an extra humiliating defeat by removing the weakness to Drain Punch and allowing the bear to Drain Punch Iron Hands to death in return.

I dont think this is a counter bc 252+ Atk Quark Drive Iron Hands Thunder Punch vs. 116 HP / 252+ Def Quark Drive Tera Fairy Iron Valiant: 109-130 (34.2 - 40.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO, so if they spam thunder punch they have a chance to beat you, but if you come in once they have a few sds up up you can encore and psych up to win the 1v1 while actually pressuring switchins after. tera fight just bc otherwise 0 attack drain is a bit weak. run on e terrain with helmet for max cookage

Dozo and Quag have already been nominated, but there's one unaware mon that hasn't been tried. switch in on ice punch, tera, and then you can curse up on thunder punch freely even with booster attack. If they tera, the evs allow +6 stone edge to ohko it. If they switch out, even non lefties is a safe switchin when they no longer have booster, although of course lefties switches in even more comfortably. You can also technically beat corv with this if you predict roost, which is funny if not relevant.

For this week, we've got the wrath of some poisoned peaches thinking nasty things! Our victim will be Nasty Plot Pecharunt.

This mighty peach stands in the way of most physically offensive threats in the metagame like Zamazenta and Swords Dance Iron Valiant. This set, however, maximizes Pecharunt's offensive capabilities by ramping up what seems to be a pedestrian Special Attack stat to great heights when supplemented by a pair of great STAB moves in Malignant Chain and Shadow Ball. How will you spoil this peach's day?

Subs close on Wednesday, February 19th.

It's a bit harder tackling Pecharunt's 160 base Defense, but Samurott (Better Version™️) gets the job done.
Scarf Ceaseless Edge 2HKOs and sets up 2 layers of Spikes before Pecharunt has the chance to KO Samurott, delivering a painful entrance to all Pokemon not immune to them.

Do keep in mind that there's roughly a 17% chance of Samurott hitting itself in confusion (Malignant Chain's 50% Toxic chance + 33% confusion hit on the 2nd turn), in which case Pecharunt can retaliate and 2HKO Samurott. A base 170 Sp. Atk stat coupled with Dark STAB and an above average Sp. Def stat sound like a nightmare for Pecharunt.
Too bad for it the nightmare is real. Say hi to Hoopa Unbound for us!!!

Choice Scarf is to outspeed Pecharunt and minimalize the chances of getting Poisoned, and to give the jump on Pokemon that'd normally outspeed Hoopa. I guess Assault Vest could also work? Pecharunt can then only threaten Hoopa with a 4HKO
Also, since Pecharunt can only 3HKO Hoopa, hitting yourself in confusion once doesn't necessarily mean an instant loss, unlike with Samurott.

This is an offensive Take Heart Manaphy with three attacks for the coverage it needs to wreck Pecharunt's day. Take Heart prevents Malignant Chain poisoning and confusion from snowballing, while Scald and Psychic provide enough damage to 2HKO after a Take Heart boost. The EV spread is to personal preference as I use it to outspeed Kyurem and 2HKO with Alluring Voice and put the rest to maximize Leftovers recovery. Tera isn't needed here, but I typically run Tera Ghost to prevent Zamazenta and Dragonite from revenge killing with Body Press and Extreme Speed. It's one of my personal favorite sets when I need a pick me up and want to troll low ladder.

This Sandy Shocks set might be the most slept on set in OU. I made this set a few months ago when I needed something to pivot against strong electrical attackers. It started as a meme set to check Zapdos once I realized I could 2HKO it with Power Gem. Then I calced it against Moltres and it held up there as well. After that, I threw it almost every special attacker I could find in OU and was amazed at how it could wall special attackers, Pecharunt included. I use Tera Fairy here in case Raging Bolt becomes too much with Draco Meteor or I need to throw it at Walking Wake or Kyurem for a last second escape, but it's not something I plan to use Tera on every match. All four moves are strongly recommended. Volt Switch is there to pivot out. Thunderbolt is its strongest STAB move with no drawbacks. Earth Power will OHKO Gholdengo after it loses its Air Balloon, and Power Gem is there to check Moltres, Zapdos, and chip Kyurem. The EV spread is there to outpace Modest Raging Bolt, with Max HP and enough Special Attack to check what it needs to (wall of calcs below).

Classic Moon set. Knock has a decent chance to OKO on the first hit, meaning that Pech has to recover twice in order to stay alive, giving you leeway to get haxxed once and still win. Knock is a 2KO with Protosynthesis and a favorable roll to 2KO without it. However, because of the reliance on DD or Protosynthesis or Tera Poison / Ground / Steel to reliably beat a boosted Pech, this is not a counter.

Any Darkrai set outspeeds and fucks up Pech, no questions asked. I prefer 4A. Timid is preferred, and maintains a favorable roll to OKO, while Modest always OKOes. Tera Poison blocks Malignant Chain, while Tera Dark allows Timid to always OKO. It can even potentially survive a boosted Pech's Malignant Chain if for some stupid reason you switch in on it, and kill from there.

EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

- Gunk Shot

- Liquidation
- Swords Dance

Overqwil is a check. Its typing grants it a resistance to both Malignant Chain and Shadow Ball, as well as an immunity to Poison, allowing it to tank Pecharunt's attacks surprisingly well, considering the lack of bulk and Life Orb recoil. It can even take boosted attacks in a pinch! From there, Overqwil can set up alongside Pecharunt and KO with Crunch. Tera Water Liquidation also KOs at +2, in exchange for throwing out Overqwil's entire defensive profile.

While Overqwil is slower than Pecharunt naturally, Rain should usually be up before Overqwil is sent out, which makes this less of an issue.

Ability: Unaware
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD

Careful Nature

- Toxic / Poison Jab

Clodsire is a counter. Its typing prevents Poison Puppeteer shenanigans, and the combination of Unaware and Amnesia means that Pecharunt can't brute-force its way through either. Clodsire doesn't do much else in return, but Earthquake does have more PP than Recover, so the KO will happen eventually.

If Pecharunt Terastallizes, it can be put on a timer with Toxic. Poison Jab is also an option, since it can also inflict Poison post-Tera while also popping Pecharunt's Air Balloon.

I know this is an unserious mon, but this is a very hard check to Pecharunt. Bastiodon has ridiculous special bulk and is immune to malignant chain, along with the soundproof ability, allowing it to block parting shot and prevent Pecharunt from even pivoting out. It can phase any Pecharunt setting up with roar, get up rocks, and threaten a bit of damage on Pecharunt and burns in general I guess with scorching sands. EVs are to 4hko Pecharunt with scorching sands, then maxing out special bulk.
