Wisp immune, Fairy resist, and makes the matchup into Moltres easier (Stone Edge could miss or they could predict and go into it on a CC or whatever). Tera Ice and Fire are the only two I’ve tried so far, so I would be wiling to try other teras. Dark sounds interesting and I might try it, but I can’t imagine wanting to turn my Zama into a Dark type in many situations. Maybe vs Sinistcha? If I have a problem with Ms. Matcha I’ll try it.

Taunt to minimize exploitation by Walls and Sucker Punch for a less/differently exploited Priority STAB are the main things that pop out, plus STAB Knock Off means it could threaten some damage beyond just item removal?
Lokix kinda needs CB to do meaningful damage so Taunt doesn’t work
Lokix Tinted Lens hits really fucking hard.
Shaymin Sky posted an essay on the VR thread on how Meow picks balance teams apart. Tinted lens with high damage prio, pivot, Knock Off, and such is a similar toolkit.
The first impression I get is that Lokix really just punishes teams that don't manage to keep rocks up, particularly offense since it just wins sack wars and has the strong priority that also is good into other priority users like Kingambit. Its got its positives over Scizor, but I think Sciz is a much easier Pokemon to fit onto teams with the added steel / defensive utility. I think the main issue is that it needs a boosting item in OU otherwise its revenging prowess just isn't there, and rocks + other hazards just eat into its health too much. This is why its usually on those Mola Gweezing teams since they help it win these sack wars.

No Tera Bug needed to do an average of 40% to Great Tusk. Every time Lokix comes in, something is taking a very strong hit; even physically bulky Corv takes an average of 40% from Knock Off, so the few 4x bug resists still aren't completely safe.
If hazards aren't up, there's also U-Turn spam available versus slower teams, adding a bit of flexibility. Does about a third to that Great Tusk, so very significant chip.
BREAKING NEWS We can now confirm that Florida AND Minnesota are going to Kyurem, while Deleware is going to Gliscor and Wyoming to Kamala Harris.
Even this calc is against speed booster tusk. Against standard offensive tusk, fimp has a chance to 2hko, and tera bug does 60-70. With a good defensive pivot backbone, Lokix decimates nigh everything in the tier, and being locked into a move that fails often is much less of a problem. Obviously it's a mon that requires careful play, but being an offensive pivot that knocks and revenges that well is excellent.
I tried CB Ace. It's sort of great, but I lost a lot of games to missed Pyro Ball. It's only 90% accurate. It is still a good set, though.
The other thing you have to watch out with for non-Boots Ace is webs. You can make do with this if you are fine with other hazard control. Or you can have more leeway if you are running hyper offense or similarly high octane styles. I had a Grassy Terrain offense team where my only hazard control was Glimm and CB Ace. But when I was, say, making Corv/Ace balance structures, I found I really needed Boots to be good into the Bee/Ghold teams. But if you were running something like Serp, Enam, or Clear Body Pult, you could mitigate the Webs concern quite a bit. Same with hazard clear that beats Ghold like Geezing. Etc. This is a long way of saying whether you can afford to run Choice Band on Ace really depends on your team.
I did warn you more than once that Kyurem could actually survive its suspect test and that good players don't overwhelmingly find Kyurem broken like they did with Gouging Fire. I expect a DNB verdict.
is it 60% flat or more for a ban, or is there the possibility for it to be tied? i hope not, but it's been a while since i was around for a vote.
There’s no chance of a tie unless we end up with multiple people not voting at all before deadline. Given that the total count can shift, it cannot be conclusively said if it is possible or not to be exact.
Kyurem needs 83 votes to hit that 60% threshold and confirm a ban, there is no shot at a tie since 60% is the minimum for a ban
there's no possibility for it to be exactly 60% because it doesn't divide evenly. 60% of 137 is 82.2, and obviously someone can't cast .2 of a vote, so 83 is the minimum number of ban votes needed here, unless some votes end up missing or something and that throws off all the percentages
No way to have a tie. 60.0% it's banned, 59.9% it stays
