Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
Ogerpon offers alot of benefits as an offensive Pokémon and as facilitator of offensive builds. One of Ogerpon's best options is Grassy Surge, which in partnership with GGlide makes for a potent sweeper in it's own right, it also even more importantly provides Hawlucha with access to easy means to trigger Unburden, which it currently lacks, making it one of Haw's best potential partners. Even outside of that, Oger has options like PH or Protean to make it a great pivot or wallbreaker respectively. Checks: Checked by:
Pokémon: Garchomp OM of Origin: Sketchmoms Stats: 108 / 130 / 95 / 80 / 85 / 102 Type:
Garchomp @ Leftovers / Rocky Helmet
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 HP / 200 Def / 56 Spe
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Toxic
- Shore Up / Strength Sap
- Stealth Rock / Spikes
Garchomp is the jack of all trades master of none extraordinaire. Now what happens if you give said Pokémon access to 1 of any move? Well Chomp basically does anything a team requires - from sketching reecovery to make it a real wall, to getting powerful STAB or coverage options to better wallbreak / sweep. The two main sets to highlight here are the hazard control lead and SD set, both of which can cause real trouble for opposing teams and are great for offensive teams. Checks: Checked by:
Pokémon: Revavroom (Pinsirite) OM of Origin: Mix and Mega Stats: 80/119/90/54/67/90 (Mega 80/149/110/64/87/110) Type: Steel/Poison (Mega Steel/Flying) Abilities: Overcoat / Filter (Mega Aerilate) Additional moves: N/A Sample Set:
Revavroom @ Pinsirite
Ability: Filter
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Shift Gear
- Iron Head
- Body Slam
- High Horsepower/Temper Flare
Well okay then Luke. It has been three slates now, and we have seen some new checks for Steel types added to the tier. Zapdos and Bellibolt in particular will prove to be effective checks to this, but our Fire types in Tauros and Magmar, and even neutral attackers like Skunktank or Walking Wake make act as sufficient answers to it. If you want something that is Hyper Offense, this Shift Gear attacker is a good place to start.
Pokémon: Cutiefly (Froslass) OM of Origin: Cross Evolution Stats: 60/75/60/85/60/144 Type: Bug/Ghost
Abilities: Snow Cloak / Cursed Body Additional moves: All moves from Froslass' movepool Sample Set:
Froslass (Cutiefly) @ Focus Sash / Heavy Duty Boots
Ability: Cursed Body
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Sticky Web
- Taunt / Will-O-Wisp / Thunder Wave
- Moonblast / Bug Buzz / Shadow Ball / Ice Beam / Hex
- U-turn / Spikes / Destiny Bond
The Cross Evolution premier Webs setter before Gholdengo was re-introduced to the tier. Bug/Ghost is a unique typing that means that Rapid Spinners will not be able to clear the webs you set up. An excellent lead to get your webs up safely, and cripple whatever comes in next. Its other stats are not impressive, but that 144 Speed will get the jump on most opponents.
Pokemon: Slither WIng OM of origin: AAA Stats: Same Type: Same Abilites: Any from AAA Additional moves: None Sample set:
Slither Wing @ Choice Band
Ability: Tinted Lens / Sword of Ruin / Scrappy
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- U-turn
- First Impression
- Flare Blitz / Earthquake
Justification: Slither wing is able to be a great revenge killer and with sets like CB + First impression is agreat stop against setup sweepers. I think this mon has a lot of potential in the meta especially with many checks like pult, bellibolt, donphan, tauros, etc and mons it checks itself like azelf, cresselia, tyranitar, registeel, p2
For those wondering, here is our updated type counts with this new set of winners. Flying is listed twice to consider pre-Mega and post-Mega Revavroom.
Edit: yep Luke is correct below, I forgot to count Registeel during my previous count I guess. Correct counts should be there but I will do a recount tomorrow to make sure.
Edit 2: Turns out when I put my types in to my "chart" to calc the types, I forgot to include column C in my math. As a result, it was Bonus Type Zapdos, and not Registeel, who was not counted in my original Steel count. The above information should be accurate with the new inclusions.
For those wondering, here is our updated type counts with this new set of winners. Flying is listed twice to consider pre-Mega and post-Mega Revavroom.
I Think we are nearly here in regards to a more or less stable meta. What we need next fir sure, is some offensive pivots. Almost all of the pivots in the tier are defensive, so some offensive ones will be pretty good. Submissions last a week, have fun and goodluck
Description: Lando having both of Munkidori stabs in special form is cool. 130/106 offenses is rather potent and Intimidate and U-Turn allow for improved bulk and pivoting.
Rotom-Mow @ Manectite
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe or 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 Spe
IVs: 0 Atk
Tera Type: Steel
Timid Nature
- Leaf Storm
- Volt Switch
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split Justification: Rotom-C with a manectite becomes quite a big threat ngl, with leaf storm + volt switch and hitting off of a hard special attack gives it quite a bit of utility, with intimidate its bulk becomes quite good, 50/127 is nothing to scoff at especially with intimidate, these physical hits are tasting quite good right about now, yum yum. With nasty plot you become quite a good breaker

Terrakion @ Choice Band

Jolly Nature
- Diamond Storm
- Combat Torque / Close Combat

- Combat Torque / Close Combat
- Earthquake / Accelerock / Rock Polish
- Swords Dance
Terrakion @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Diamond Storm
- Combat Torque / Close Combat
- Stone Axe
- Salt Cure
Justification: You know what terrak is quite good? breaking, with its good utility with salt cure, stone axe, priority, and its strong stuff ot hit opponents with its indeed looking quite good, with another offensive rock type and a great potential HO teammate, and a good revenge killer it can fit a lot of roles on a team, with stuff like scarf, double dance, and band

Pokemon: delibird OM of origin: 350 Cup Stats: 90 HP / 110 Atk / 90 Def / 130 SpA / 90 SpD / 150 Spe Type: Ice / Flying Abilites: Same Additional moves: None Sample set:
Delibird @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Hustle
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Drill Run
- Ice Spinner
- Brave Bird
- Rapid Spin / Spikes Justification: Delibird time, with such a speed tier it eclipses even tauros and becomes the fastest thing in the meta, and this thing and compress stuff indeed, with such a tat spread it can indeed put hustle to good use and it can definitely support a team with spin or spikes but good god is it reliant on boots, you arent gonna see this thing without it. It also gets horribly clapped by zapdos and slowbro is annoying as well with helmet

Pokemon: Diancie OM of origin: formemons Stats: Same Type: Rock / Fairy Abilites: Same Additional moves: None Sample set:
(Diancie-Mega) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Magic Bounce
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 144 HP / 112 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Rock Tomb
- Moonblast
- Endeavor
Diancie @ Choice Specs
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Power Gem
- Moonblast
- Earth Power
- Mystical Fire
Diancie @ Power Herb
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Meteor Beam
- Moonblast
- Earth Power
- Mystical Fire / Rock Polish Justification: Diancie mega gives us some offensive rock and fairy mons, with a good stat spread and good stuff to throw around, with magic bounce it can also be able to deter hazards and be used as a lead on HO teams where it can lead and get up rocks and spikes while denying them as well. Offensively with meteor beam it can work fairly well, it functions good as a midgame breaker or as a late game cleaner.

Pokemon: Scizor-mega OM of origin: Formemons Stats: 70 / 150 / 140 / 65 / 100 / 75 Type: Steel / Bug Abilites: Technician Additional moves: None Sample set:
Scizor @ Life Orb / Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Light Metal
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Bullet Punch
- Close Combat
- Knock Off
Scizor-Mega @ Choice Band
Ability: Technician
EVs: 120 HP / 252 Atk / 136 Spe
Tera Type: Steel
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
- Knock Off
- Close Combat
Scizor-Mega @ Leftovers
Ability: Technician
EVs: 120 HP / 252 Atk / 136 Spe
Tera Type: Steel
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
- Knock Off Justification: Scizor is already a somewhat good pokemon in OU, but with a mega form that bumps up all its good stats a good chunk makes it quite much better, with usable speed, better sp. def, and attack you are able to be a terror, especially with choice band or swords dance sets, boots allow it to check a lot of the meta with it
Iron Bundle from Flipped is a powerful wallbreaker and offensive pivot thamks to it's Perfect Coverage between Hydro Pump and Freeze Dry, and it's rather incredible bulk for an offensive threat. This physical bulk allows it to comfortably trade versus most physical attackers in the tier.
Pokémon: Mega Sceptile OM of Origin: Formemons Stats: 70 / 110 / 75 / 145 / 85 / 145 Type:
Mega Sceptile is an interesting wallbreaker. It would be the second fastest Pokémon in the tier, with a meaty 145 SpA behind it, but is held in check by poor STAB options and inability to directly pivot out of threats. Its defensive typing + Lightning Rod does give it plenty of ways to switch in on threats.
Pokémon: Pecharunt OM of Origin: STABmons Stats: 88 / 88 / 160 / 88 / 88 / 88 Type:
Abilities: Poison Puppeteer Aditional moves: All nonbanned Poison and Ghost type moves Sample Set:
Pecharunt @ Heavy Duty Boots / Black Sludge
Ability: Poison Puppeteer
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Malignant Chain
- Hex / Moongeist Beam
- Recover
Pecharunt adds a very potent Fighting check for teams, putting pressure on many squads that rely on them. It also just adds a brand new physical wall that can double as a hazard remover
Justification: Gholdengo's typing with a much less problematic ability. Solid bulk (but no recovery) and good offensive moves and utility. Alternatively you have a Rapid Spinner / Spikes stacker who is itself Rapid Spin immune.
Abomasnow-Mega @ Heavy-Duty Boots / Life Orb?
Ability: Snow Warning
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Leech Seed / Aurora Veil
- Giga Drain
- Blizzard
- Earth Power
Justification: We need more Ice types. With decent defenses boosted by the Snow it has decent longevity and it has a decent movepool on both its Physical and Special sides. Basically a stronger but slower Abomasnow for those who would want to try it. In the event that Trick Room teams become a thing in the future this will be a staple on them.
Pokémon: Granbull (PU) OM of Origin: Tier Shift Stats: 90/150/105/90/90/75 Type: Fairy Abilities: Intimidate / Quick Feet / Rattled Aditional moves: N/A Sample Set:
Granbull @ Leftovers / Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate / Rattled
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Bulk Up
- Play Rough
- Earthquake
- Trailblaze / Stone Edge
Granbull @ Choice Scarf / Choice Band
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Play Rough
- Stone Edge / Close Combat
- Close Combat / Psychic Fangs / Crunch
Justification: There are few Fairy types to choose from, but this is one that gets upgraded to having the stats of a pseudo-legendary. While not the best movepool, 150 Attack hits hard, and it has a few abilities that could add some utility to it. Why does this dog not have Strong Jaw
Pokémon: Enamorus-Therian (Timid) OM of Origin: Nature Swap Stats: 74/46/110/135/110/115
Type: Fairy/Flying Abilities: Overcoat Aditional moves: N/A Sample Set:
Enamorus-Therian (F) @ Leftovers / Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe or 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Draining Kiss / Moonblast / Alluring Voice
- Earth Power / Focus Blast
- Sludge Bomb / Psychic / Mystical Fire
Justification: Timid Enam-T is an improvement over either form of Enamorus, but without the fear of Cute Charm or Contrary. This will obviously only be using special moves, but with solid bulk, excellent Special Attack, and now a great Speed, it should prove to be quite useful.
Justification: While it may have usable special bulk as is, its poor physical bulk discourages using this as a full-on wall, with its large SpA and Speed encouraging its use as an offensive RegenVest pivot with some specially defensive utility, not much unlike the use Miemie had in Gen 8 Fusion Evolution UU.
Pokemon: Dragonite OM of origin: Revelationmons Stats: Same Type: Same Abilites: Same Additional moves: Flying Type Body Slam + Dragon Type Facade Sample set:
Dragonite @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Multiscale
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Body Slam
- Roost
- Earthquake
Dragonite @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Tera Type: Normal
Adamant Nature
- Facade
- Body Slam
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
Dragonite @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 252 HP / 240 Atk / 16 Spe
Tera Type: Normal
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Tail
- Body Slam
- Earthquake
- Roost Justification: Stab dragonite in a no tera metagame is interesting, while it is broken in base revelationmons is cuz of espeed, here with moves like dragon facade and flying body slam its much more doable, provides much more support to the metagame and is a great HO mon as well, it can also run a more defensive set
The rules are very clear. Do not sub something that is banned from the metagame. I don't like trying to circumvents bans, it only opens the door to awkward shit. Find another Dragonite or another Flying type abuser, until then, vetoed.
Pokémon: Mienshao OM of Origin: Re-Evolution Stats: 85/165/70/135/70/145 Type: Fighting Abilities: Inner Focus / Regenerator / Reckless Aditional moves: N/A Sample Set:
Mienshao @ Choice Band / Choice Scarf / Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator / Reckless
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant / Jolly Nature
- Close Combat / High Jump Kick
- Ice Spinner / Stone Edge
- Knock Off
- U-turn
Justification: Mono-Fighting with below-average bulk, but crazy high Attack and Speed. Either solid raw power with Reckless High Jump Kick, longevity with Regenerator + U-Turn, or just safe from Intimidates with Inner Focus.
