I had an idea to create a team centered around Dragapult's late game sweeping potential. I included a lot of slow voltturners to bring Rillaboom, Dragapult, and Mamoswine in. Does anyone have any ideas on how to make my team better?
New
Rillaboom @ Choice Band
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Grassy Glide
- Knock Off
- Superpower
- U-turn
Rillaboom is my physical wallbreaker. It hits almost everything hard, and removes items to help dragapult sweep in the endgame
It uses a standard fast physical attacker set
I chose to replace wood hammer with superpower to be able to hit steel types, and because grassy glide already 2hkos many pokemon. Knock off and u turn for utility.
Dragapult @ Choice Specs
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Draco Meteor
- U-turn
- Flamethrower
Dragapult is my late game sweeper because shadow ball hits almost everything pretty hard.
It uses a standard fast special attacker set.
I used a standard moveset, which includes flamethrower to hit steel types like ferrothorn and corviknight. U turn is good for chip damage if you think they're going to switch
Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 232 SpD / 24 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Magma Storm
- Earth Power
- Taunt
- Stealth Rock
Heatran is my special wall, and it also counters a lot of tanky pokemon with magma storm taunt.
It has the smogon EVs and IVs
It use taunt to counter chanseys and stall playstyles
Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 196 Def / 60 SpD
Bold Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Pain Split
- Will-O-Wisp
Rotom is my main pivot because of its amazing typing and access to volt switch and will-o-wisp.
I just put most of the EVs into Def, and a little bit into SpD, because I wanted it to mostly tank physical attacks, but also not get 1 or 2 shot by most special moves.
Pain split over defog because I wanted Scizor to be my defogger.
Scizor @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 172 Def / 88 SpD
Impish Nature
- Defog
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
- Roost
Scizor is my main physical wall as well as my only hazard control.
I used the smogon set, because I needed scizor to be able to defog against both physical and special attackers.
I put rocky helmet onto it just to chip down threats like rillaboom and urshifu. Urshifu basically kills itself if it uses surging strikes
Mamoswine @ Life Orb
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Icicle Crash
- Earthquake
- Knock Off
- Ice Shard
Mamoswine is my last pokemon. I originally used Weavile but I needed a pokemon to block volt switches. I put knock off on it to weaken dragapult counters and prepare a sweep.
It's the Smogon set.
Threatlist:
Cosmic power mew kinda destroys my team after 1 or 2 cosmic powers unless I get a crit knock off or something
Scarf lele is a problem if heatran dies
Zeraora is a problem unless it gets burned by rotom
Nidoking hits the whole team. All i can do is revenge kill with dragapult or hydro pump with rotom
Thanks for any advice!
