The giant snake of steel hans't been revelant since RS, but now its his time to shine. With a massive 200 base defense, decent hp and attack, imunnity to poison and eletric, 7 resistances, 1 strongly resistance, Steelix can easily take 3 super effective hits of Darmanitan-Galar, Excadrill and Tyranitar while 1-Hit-KO then with a Steel or Ground STAB move. Also can easily wall and KO others physically sweepers in OU, like Dragapult and Barrakewda. Steelix great weakness was always a bad special defense, who can be supplied by using Assault Vest. With 136 EV on SpD and Assault Vest 50% buff, Steelix gets 300 special defense, making possible to survive and even wall any non super effective special move. Sheer force with 120 EV in Atk and Adamant Nature gives him the damage to kill anything without great defenses. For the first STAB move you can choose between Drill Run, for more critical chances, or Earthquake, more solid damage. The second STAB move can be Iron Tail, low accuracy but gets a great 130 base power with Sheer Force, or Iron Head, 104 base power with Sheer Force and 100% accuracy. The third move is Body Press, who does a massive damage with the 200 base defense of Steelix. And the fourth move can be Breaking Swipe, for super effective damage on Dragapult and other dragon types, Fire Fang, to hit fire weakness like Aegislash, or Thunder Fang, to hit water and flying types. Without a good recovery move and the necessity to use Assault Vest, he can't survive for more than 4-5 hits and if your opponent has a good physical wall, it's gonna be difficult to do all the damage that Steelix can do, so be carefully when using him.
