[SET COMMENTS]
Deoxys-S is the second-fastest Stealth Rock user in OU, only being outpaced by Speed Booster Energy Iron Treads, and possesses a wide utility movepool that allows it to function as an excellent lead on hyper offense teams. Psychic Noise denies recovery against Pokemon such as Gliscor, Clefable, and Corviknight, and it also deals heavy damage to Great Tusk and Glimmora. Knock Off further cripples defensive Pokemon such as Ting-Lu and Galarian Slowking. Superpower is a 2HKO against Hisuian Samurott and Darkrai, two common leads that threaten Deoxys-S, and deals solid damage to Ting-Lu. Alternatively, Taunt provides utility by denying entry hazards and status from bulky leads such as Clefable and Gliscor, as well as preventing sweepers such as Roaring Moon from setting up. 104 Speed EVs let Deoxys-S outspeed Choice Scarf Landorus-T, while the rest of its EVs are invested into physical bulk to survive hits such as Hisuian Samurott's Ceaseless Edge. Tera Dark turns Deoxys-S's Dark and Ghost weaknesses into resistances, which is useful against the aforementioned Hisuian Samurott, while Tera Ghost blocks Rapid Spin from Great Tusk and Iron Treads. Colbur Berry allows Deoxys-S to survive Dark-type attacks that would normally result in a KO and hit back with Superpower, helping against Darkrai and Hisuian Samurott. Red Card is an alternative option that can force out the opposing lead into something less ideal, potentially granting a free turn.

This set fits best on hyper offense teams with powerful wallbreakers that appreciate Deoxys-S's ability to wear down defensive Pokemon. Physical sweepers such as Great Tusk and Zamazenta have a much easier time dealing with Corviknight after its Rocky Helmet has been removed, while Iron Moth and Raging Bolt become much more threatening once Ting-Lu and Galarian Slowking lose their items. Great Tusk also provides hazard removal for sets that forgo running Taunt. Hisuian Samurott may be run as a secondary hazard setter that can also pivot into Gholdengo. Deoxys-S struggles to set Stealth Rock against Hatterene due to Magic Bounce, so it appreciates Steel-type attackers such as Gholdengo and Iron Crown that can force it out; the former has additional utility in denying hazard removal attempts. Choice Scarf Darkrai outspeeds Deoxys-S and threatens an OHKO on sets without Colbur Berry, making Great Tusk and Iron Valiant solid teammates able to take advantage of it locking into Dark Pulse. Finally, Deoxys-S sets without Taunt are at risk of being exploited by Dragon Dance Kyurem and Roaring Moon, which both survive a Superpower and outspeed Deoxys-S after one boost. IronPress Zamazenta is a solid answer to both of these threats, though it needs to watch out for Tera Flying Acrobatics from Roaring Moon.

Psychic Noise denies recovery against Pokemon such as Gliscor, Clefable, and Corviknight, while also dealing heavy damage to Great Tusk and Glimmora. Knock Off further cripples defensive Pokemon by removing their item, which is especially valuable against Stealth Rock weak Pokemon such as Moltres. Superpower is a 2HKO against Hisuian Samurott and Darkrai, two common leads that threaten Deoxys-S, while also dealing solid damage to Ting-Lu. Alternatively, Taunt provides utility by denying hazards and status, as well as preventing sweepers hoping to exploit this set's passivity by setting up. The given EV spread outspeeds Choice Scarf Landorus-T while investing as much into physical bulk as possible. Tera Dark turns Deoxys-S's Dark and Ghost weaknesses into resistances while also boosting the power of its Knock Off Does this secure any noteworthy 2HKOs at all? If not, just keep this as is., while Tera Ghost blocks Rapid Spin from Great Tusk and Iron Treads. Colbur Berry allows it to live Dark hits that would normally result in a KO, and hit back with Superpower. Red Card is an alternative option that can force out the opposing lead into something less ideal, potentially granting a free turn.

This set fits best on hyper offense teams with powerful breakers that appreciate its ability to wear down defensive Pokemon. Physical sweepers such as Great Tusk and Zamazenta have a much easier time dealing with Moltres and Corviknight after their items have been removed, while Gholdengo and Raging Bolt become much more threatening once Ting-Lu has lost its Leftovers and taken considerable damage from Superpower. Find some room to mention Gambit as a teammate somewhere here; it's basically the face of HO and has some nice synergies by virtue of taking out Hatterene, sponging Ghost/Dark attacks that might be directed towards Deo-S, appreciates Moltres and Corv being crippled, etc. You could reference one or two specific calcs the Rocks support allows Gambit to pull off, but that's up to you. Great Tusk also provides hazard removal for sets that forgo running Taunt. Hisuian Samurott can also be run as a secondary hazard setter that can also pivot into Gholdengo. Deoxys-S struggles to set Stealth Rock against Hatterene due to its Magic Bounce ability, so it appreciates Steel attackers such as Gholdengo and Iron Crown Could mention Gambit here instead of earlier, and then expand on why Gambit specifically is such a good teammate. that can force it out. The former has additional utility in denying hazard removal attempts. Choice Scarf Darkrai outspeeds Deoxys-S and threatens an OHKO on sets without Colbur Berry, making Great Tusk and Iron Valiant solid teammates able to take advantage of it locking into Dark Pulse. Finally, sets without Taunt are at risk of being exploited by Dragon Dance Kyurem and Roaring Moon, which both survive a Superpower and outspeed after one boost. IronPress Zamazenta is a solid answer to both of these threats, though it needs to watch out for Tera Flying Acrobatics from Roaring Moon. Should mention miscellaneous sweepers that are just good on HO in general; DD users like DNite (Deo-S's most common teammate across the board, ahead of even Ghold) and Roaring Moon are good nods, often for similar reasons to why Tusk/Zama appreciate mons like Moltres/Corv crippled. Wellspring and Iron Moth are also solid teammates (each on ~22% of Deo-S teams although this mon has a ton of sets), particularly Moth since it brings some serious speed to the table and appreciates Ting-Lu being crippled.

Let me know when this is implemented; this is NOT 1/2 yet; I'd like to see how you incorporate these comments first but will stamp after the recheck.

This is ridiculously good work, especially for a first-time writer! Come join the OU Discord and we can chat further in our Analysis Discussion channel, especially if you have any further questions about my comments. You should be very proud of this analysis so far!

No problem! The calcs aren't a super high priority if you're talking about the Knock stuff, so don't be too concerned about that. It's still perfectly valid to mention that Tera Dark's got a good defensive profile and that it just buffs Knock, since it's mostly being used for its defensive merit.

If you have any relevant calc in mind, feel free to add it. If not, don't sweat it too much.

Great Tusk also provides hazard removal for sets that forgo running Taunt. Iron Moth provides speed control and can clean late-game once its main checks, Ting-Lu and Galarian Slowking, have been weakened by hazards and Knock Off. Dragonite and Roaring Moon are also able to pull off late-game sweeps with Dragon Dance after Deoxys-S has weakened their checks. Give a handful of examples of these checks. Deoxys-S struggles to set Stealth Rock against Hatterene due to its Magic Bounce ability, so it appreciates Steel attackers such as Kingambit, Gholdengo, and Iron Crown that can force it out. Kingambit in particular has excellent synergy with this set, as it appreciates Moltres and Corviknight being weakened and can switch into Dark and Ghost attacks aimed at Deoxys-S, while Gholdengo has additional utility in denying hazard removal attempts. Alternatively, Hisuian Samurott can be run as a secondary hazard setter that can guarantee hazards against Hatterene as well as pivot into Gholdengo. Choice Scarf Darkrai outspeeds Deoxys-S and threatens an OHKO on sets without Colbur Berry, making Great Tusk and Iron Valiant solid teammates able to take advantage of it locking into Dark Pulse. Alternatively, Taunt provides utility by denying hazards and status, as well as preventing sweepers hoping to exploit this set's passivity by setting up. (would be good to add some examples here like common leads you deny hazards from and setup mons that you block) The given EV spread outspeeds Choice Scarf Landorus-T while investing as much into physical bulk as possible. (could be worth adding why physical buk is preferred like some weaker hits its better vs) Tera Dark turns Deoxys-S's Dark and Ghost weaknesses into resistances (add some reasoning around why this is useful like kingambit sucker - just saying the type changes doesn't help much without the added metagame context) while also boosting the power of its Knock Off, while Tera Ghost blocks Rapid Spin from Great Tusk and Iron Treads. Colbur Berry allows it to live Dark hits that would normally result in a KO, and hit back with Superpower. (give some exaples here too, you mention scarf darkrai later so that's good, gambit sucker again without needing to tera) Red Card is an alternative option that can force out the opposing lead into something less ideal, potentially granting a free turn.

this paragraph talks about weakening moltres quite a bit, but a good player won't hard molt into an unscouted deoxys because knock is one of its most common moves. still worth mentioning once but not 3 diff times because it relies on the player to choke. stuff like removing ting-lu lefties / gking boots / corv lefties is more common ingame because they're more likely to stay in for progress when it's not an autolose situation
