Standard OU Black and White team

This team is laid out to bluff the lead Gengar, but then actually lead off with either Vaporeon or Ferrothorn, depending on what lead the opponent seems to be using. The rest is explained below.

Gengar (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Psychic
- Thunderbolt

This serves as my revenge killer, it has good type coverage, aswell as focus blast and levitate allowing it to switch in on ground moves and hit stuff like Tyranitar hard.

Blissey (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 196 HP / 252 Def / 60 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Wish
- Protect
- Thunder Wave
- Flamethrower

The standard Wish Blissey, bar the Flamethrower over the Seismic Toss, I've gone with this because I felt it gave better type coverage, and when something like Scizor switches in and tries to Swords dance, it can OHKO a 0 HP/SpDef without too much difficulty.

Vaporeon (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Hydration
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Scald
- Rain Dance
- Rest

Hydration vs water absorb was a difficult choice, but I like rain dances ability to ruin Sand/Sun teams who have lost their Perma-weather inducer, and hydration stops people from Toxic stalling it out. It is max Defense/HP allowing it to take an unboosted outrage from anything in OU and because of Vaporeon's high Sp. Attack allows a OHKO on most dragons other than maybe Latias. It is also there to take a Close Combat/Superpower because both ferrothorn and Blissey are weak to Fighting.

Ferrothorn (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 124 Def / 132 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Power Whip
- Leech Seed
- Stealth Rock
- Gyro Ball

My mixed wall. This thing takes hits like a champ, aswell as being my Stealth Rock user. I've gone with Leech Seed over Spikes to allow myself to recover off some damage without Wish passing, but all in all a great Pokemon. no wonder it is the Number 1 most used in standar it is just so versatile.

Conkeldurr (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Guts
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd)
- Mach Punch
- Superpower
- Payback
- Earthquake

I've gone with Superpower over drain punch, and Earthquake over Stone edge. Superpower is personal preference and earthquake is for accuracy, however I do think that because I don't have any Rock-type moves on this team, that maybe stone edge would be a better joice. Mach punch is good for finishing something off aswell as killing off a Cloyster that's Shell smashed as Conkeldurr can live a +2 ice shard from cloyster and the banded version can OHKO a -1 defense Cloyster with Mach punch. It also does a good job of countering Excadrill/Tyranitar.

Latios (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 236 Atk / 20 SAtk / 252 Spd
Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Hidden Power [Fire]

My final pokemon is a mixed Latios, with one Dragon Dance boost it outspeeds common uber threats such as Scarf Garchomp, and hits even harder. Hidden Power fire is there to take out Ferrothorn, as it walls this set very well otherwise.

Thanks for reading, just one or two other things: I trialed a Lapras instead of Vaporeon because off the Stabbed Ice moves, however with Fighting being super effective, and fire type moves neutral damage. I decided Vaporeon would be a better option, although whether or not Jellicent/Suicune could be better for Vaporeons role I don't know (Jellicent would also be good against fighting types). Thanks again, feedback is much appreciated.

Also, one minor alteration I've made is I'm now running a Jellicent with max HP & Defense, leftovers, and Scald, Shadow Ball, Psychic, and taunt/Toxic (I'm still undecided)

Your jellicent is too offensive. If you like it like that then fine, but the deffensive set has been working absolute wonders for me. I would have 252hp/252spd, with acid armor to boost your defence back up. Will-O-Wisp on top of that to cripple physical switch-ins, recover for obvious purposes, and shadow ball for stab. I also much prefer cursed body over water absorb, since it has saved me hundreds of times.
