Well, after a lot of testing, I am proud to present my team. I'm not going to bother you with the team building process, as it was very long and I tried many different pokemon, such as ferrothorn, scizor, machamp, tentacruel, skarmory, volcarna, but in the end these are the guys that got the job done. I originally wanted something pre-bank, but I also wanted to have whimsicott on the team.
Whimsicott (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Taunt
- Leech Seed
- Toxic
- Substitute
Whimsicott functions as my lead to shut down the opponents set ups, as well as a fearsome sub-seeder. chansey and her work great together, whimsicott can take the fighting type moves thrown at chansey, as well as some others if needed and chansey takes any special attacks as well as weaknesses. With whimsicott I will use taunt most games first, unless it's something I am pretty sure is not going to try to set up. Then I follow up with substitute, and If the substitute does not break I will sub-seed out the opponent, otherwise I usually switch to chansey to take the blow. Once I accidentaly ended up in ubers but still managed to take down an arceus and blaziken with whimsicott alone.
Chansey (F) @ Eviolite
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Wish
- Heal Bell
- Protect
- Toxic
Chansey is my cleric and wall, and can switch in to most attacks without fear. Wish and heal bell keep the team going. As I do not have a rapid spinner, if the opponent manages to get an entry hazard past whimsicotts guard I use chansey a lot to pass wishes and negate entry hazard damage. I rely on her a lot really, and need to play careful to keep her alive, though her bulk of course doesn't make that hard. One of the biggest problems for chansey are steel type, who will force me to switch her out unless whimsicott seeded them.
Scolipede (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Iron Defense
- Swords Dance
- Baton Pass
- Protect
And next is scolipede, now my favorite baton passer ever. I can easily pass tons of boosts with him. While iron defense seems like a weird move it helps him set up with ease on physical attackers and keeps the reciever of the pass (Cloyster or Jirachi mostly) alive on switch in. After special attackers have been eliminated I'll usually seed the opposing pokemon and switch him in. After that I'll usually max defense, allowing him to do a few swords's dance's and then pass. I originally had a focus sash and megahorn on him, but switched for leftovers and iron defense since he wasn't taking that much damage often and didn't really need megahorn. Even when low on health I can switch him in on a KO, use protect and pass the 1+ speed.
Jirachi @ Leftovers
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Thunder Wave
- Substitute
- Iron Head
- Fire Punch
Flinch-hax Jirachi I usualy save for late game cleanup, he has saved me a number of games. If he receives some boosts from scolipede, however, he can just as easily do some sweeping. Not sure what else to say about him, I play him just like most flinch-hax ones, paralyzing then iron head spamming, substituting if possible and fire punching if needed. Although I don't normaly pass to him, I think I may need to more to ensure he gets at least 2HKO's with fire punch which usualy doesn't manage it when needed.
Cloyster (M) @ Focus Sash
Trait: Skill Link
EVs: 56 HP / 252 Atk / 200 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Shell Smash
- Icicle Spear
- Rock Blast
- Razor Shell
Cloyster, my physical sweeper and main baton pass recipient. And let me tell you, when he gets those passes he is a BEAST. Breaking through substitutes and hitting at least neutral on pretty much everything. I didn't give him full speed EVs as scolipede can easily get me 6 speed boosts. Shell smash and focus sash are just in case scolipede doesn't manage to pass, though with the defensive boosts from him focus sash otherwise isn't needed. At 2+ ATK he can almost always score 1-2HKO's, and with 4+ it's guaranteed.
Rotom-W @ Choice Specs
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Hydro Pump
- Thunderbolt
- Will-O-Wisp
- Shadow Ball
Rotom handles my fire type weakness, though even such he usualy takes about 50% damage upon switching in, so I probably need a better option. Also, hydro pump misses way too much. I do like being able to inflict burn on opposing physical attackers, who I can then switch scolipede in on. I think to replace rotom I might try a fast heatran with choice specs, he could use earth power to take down fire types as well as switch in without damage. Another option could be Tentacruel, who could lay down some toxic spikes as well as rapid spin, but I'll wait on your guys suggestions.
Well, that's is for now! I'm looking for suggestions and criticism, so please reply! As for replacing pokemon, I would like to keep chansey and whimsicott, and scolipede and cloyster if possible. I do think rotom could use a replacement though.
