Rules and Tournament Format
General Tournament Rules
- This is a standard RBY Stadium OU tournament
- This tournament will be Single Elimination
- Rounds will be Best of Three. You may switch teams in between battles of the same set.
- Matches are to be played on Pokemon Showdown!. If you can't agree on which server to play on, the Smogtours server is the default option.
- Replays are required for all matches.
- Activity calls will be made by me, potentially with neutral assistance from a RBY Moderator or Tournament Director. Coin flips will be done publicly on PS!
- In the event that something is added to or removed from the RBY Stadium OU metagame in the middle of a round, that change will be in effect starting the next round.
- Do not cheat. Cheating will result in a disqualification. Additional punishments may be applied as necessary. Cheating includes, but is not limited to:
- Signing up with more than one account
- Ghosting or being ghosted by another player (e.g. while playing a set, asking for advice about what plays to make)
- Manipulating match outcomes (e.g. throwing a match in exchange for Smogon likes)
- Do not harass or insult your opponents. I reserve the right to disqualify anyone breaking this rule. Additional punishments may be applied as necessary.
- Standard Clauses / Mods
- Team Preview - Run innately in Stadium, teams are shown before a battle begins.
- Stadium Sleep Clause - A player cannot put two of their opponent's Pokémon to sleep at one time. Run innately by Stadium itself, only it also counts an opposing Pokemon using Rest as well. This doesn't affect its activation, so multiple Pokemon can be resting at one time.
- Freeze Clause - A player cannot freeze two of their opponent's Pokémon at the same time. All effects of moves that would cause freeze are prevented from taking effect while Freeze Clause is active. This is run innately in Stadium.
- Self-KO Clause - In the event a Pokémon KOes itself with Self-Destruct or Explosion and the use results in a tie, the user automatically loses.
- Species Clause - A player cannot have two Pokémon with the same National Pokédex number on a team. For example, you cannot have 2 Koffing on your team.
- Evasion Clause - A Pokémon may not have the moves Double Team or Minimize in its moveset.
- OHKO Clause - A Pokémon may not have the moves Fissure, Guillotine, or Horn Drill in its moveset.
- Endless Battle Clause - In the event of an endless battle (such as only two Dittos remaining who can only transform forever, two Gengar forced to Struggle against each other, etc.), a draw is called.
- Tradeback Clause - Tradeback moves from GSC are not allowed.
- Banned Moves
- Double Team, Fissure, Guillotine, Horn Drill, Minimize
This tournament will award points towards RBY Grand Slam III.
