Blaziken finally pursues its secret burning passion for music in STABmons! Torch Song in conjunction with Throat Spray turns Blaziken into a scary sweeper on hyper offense teams, gaining a huge +2 boost on the first use of Torch Song. Secret Sword is Blaziken's most reliable Fighting-type STAB move, having the extra benefit of hitting the Defense stat to threaten Blissey and Meloetta. Scorching Sands targets Volcanion lacking Water Shuriken and Toxapex, as both can otherwise switch in freely and force out Blaziken early. Burning Bulwark not only lets Blaziken get a free Speed boost but also potentially burns Pokemon like Toxapex using Flip Turn, Landorus-T using Dragon Ascent, and Iron Valiant using Close Combat. Due to the one-time nature of Throat Spray, Blaziken only has value on hyper offense teams, and as such, teammates that can pressure walls like Ting-Lu and Toxapex such as Booster Energy Iron Valiant, Gyarados, and Rotom-W make for excellent partners. Water Shuriken users like Rotom-W and Volcanion deeply scare Blaziken, so partners that can punish and remove them like Rillaboom, Hydrapple, and Air Balloon Raging Bolt are deeply appreciated.
