Rhyperior @ Leftovers
Ability: Solid Rock
EVs: 252 HP / 16 Atk / 240 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic
Despite not being UU by usage, rhyperior has been a UU staple for the longest time. It is a great rocker that pressures hazard removers like moltres and salamence, while it can also force trades with top threats like lycanroc-D, thundurus, aegislash, and galarian slowbro thanks to its amazing bulk and solid rock. How will you lure this threat? Submissions are due June 26 at 11:59 PM PST
Defog salamence usually runs a lot of bulk now recently so rhyperior is a safe switch in right? Well not if salamence is max spa. attack and modest to OHKO with hydro pump. Rhyperior loves to come in on non draco sets so bluffing you are hurricane and flamethrower can easily make this to come in and think its a safe toxic or a free set up of stealth rocks.
252+ SpA Salamence Hydro Pump vs. 252 HP / 240+ SpD Solid Rock Rhyperior: 369-435 (85 - 100.2%) -- 43.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
Pretty standard Thundurus but with a twist in Grass Knot. Rhyperior easily switches into it a lot so you'll have tons of chances to click it. Probs don't even need calcs
I lied this is much better. Moltres is a unique fit on rain due to its solid defensive utility and unique coverage. Weather Ball can own rhyperior with ease. Obviously rain has to be up but I consider it a lure nonetheless.
This was a hard one, but I’ve finally got an answer. Scolipede is a rare sight nowadays, and the ones you do see run EQ as a coverage move. This Scoli, however, runs Aqua Tail in order to lure in and wipe Rhyperior off of the face of the Earth (and also Fire- and Ground-types, but that’s beside the point):
+2 252+ Atk Scolipede Aqua Tail vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Solid Rock Rhyperior: 429-507 (98.8 - 116.8%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO
Voting is up! Congrats to HydreigonTheChild for winning the week, your submission will be added to the hall of fame shortly. Now, let’s introduce this week’s threat! The upcoming shifts won’t affect this mon so it’s fine to put up now
Chansey (F) @ Eviolite
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Seismic Toss
- Toxic
- Soft-Boiled
-Stealth Rock
This week we have the fat pink blob, chansey! Chansey has been making a huge resurgence as of late, being a key part of balance teams that can check threatening Pokémon like Primarina, Salamence, and Moltres. How will you lure this threat? Submissions are due July 3 at 11:59 PM PST
(F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 196 Atk / 252 SpA / 60 Spe
Rash Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earth Power
- Sludge Wave
- Superpower
Chansey is usually a counter to nidoqueen, with a lot of attack investment and superpower, nidoqueen can 2hko chansey after stealth rocks after it tries to switch into expecting stealth rocks to be set at worse
196 Atk Life Orb Nidoqueen Superpower over 2 turns vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Chansey: 564-668 (80.1 - 94.8%) -- 50% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock
Tangrowth @ Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Power Whip
- Knock Off
- Brick Break
Funny spaghetti man clicks SD and is suddenly a massive threat to an opposing Chansey, being able to Knock Off it's Eviolite or Power Whip for major damage, like look at this thing
+2 252+ Atk Life Orb Tangrowth Power Whip vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Chansey: 617-727 (87.6 - 103.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
