Can I just say that the ladder tournaments are kind of cruel to low ladder players like me who aren't participating. It's not that pleasant to just get destroyed over and over again by high ladder players smurfing on sslt accounts. And it allows observers who come in and make jokes or talk trash even if I click "don't allow spectators." There should be a way to opt out of facing sslt players.
I am sorry that some players have abused the opportunity to showcase their skills to the public via laddering into bullying sessions against less dedicated opponents - please send me evidence of instances where you were heckled for simply playing the game and I will report it to senior staff
.But I would like to believe that SSLT is a great opportunity for low ladder players to improve - playing against good players can only lead to a better understanding of the metagame as long as you put in a bit of time and effort to review your losses. I hope that you can at least make something out of what is understandably an annoying (if not downright traumatic) experience by improving as a player and hopefully shut up the players who are humiliating you right now by beating them in the future
But I just want to relax and play for fun. I didn't ask to immersed in a pool of hardcore players. It just makes me not want to play until it's over.
