SS OU Ghost Spam

Hi there, I'm a long time smogon fan, but I haven't been playing recently as much. I've always found team building quite daunting but wanted to try to build a ghost spam team.

Dragapult @ Choice Specs
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Draco Meteor
- U-turn
- Hex

The first spammer of ghost moves. Love him or hate him, specs Drag does what it does. Main thing to note is that I choose Hex over Fireblast since 4/6 members on my team use toxic. He's also my first form of speed control.

Blacephalon @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Shadow Ball
- Flamethrower
- Overheat
- Toxic

The second spammer now. Its role is pretty similar to Drag, but with obviously a bit more speed for revenge killing. Flamethrower over fire blast because usually I'm looking to clean late game with this and missing suuuuucks D: I threw overheat on there for the one time nuke if I need the extra firepower too. Toxic is also surprisingly useful too for bulky grounds and catching switches to avoid giving beast boots.

Aegislash @ Leftovers
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 252 HP / 220 SpD / 36 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Toxic
- King's Shield
- Shadow Ball
- Substitute

This is my fat blob counter since this team is crazy weak to it. It's able to switch in on lots of mons and take hits and just generally spreads cancer. It's resistances help blanket check a lot of threats too like Lele (straight counters it) Kart, Fini, Urshifu, and others.

Landorus-Therian (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 36 Atk / 172 SpD / 48 Spe
Careful Nature
- Earthquake
- Defog
- U-turn
- Toxic

Role compression at its finest. Really hard to not justify it being here. Takes hits then pivots to the heavy hitters while spreading status to lando switch ins and just really whoever. Ev spread is just for a bit of speed creep and slightly heavier hitting eq's.

Volcanion @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Steam Eruption
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Toxic

This is my role filler mon and I was wanting some sort of water type on this squad but was having a hard time picking one. Toxapex just eats up too much momentum, and slowking/slowbro give me another dark/ghost weakness. Urshifu could also be alright since I lack heavy hitting physical types and gets momentum, but Volcanion is just way harder to switch into, deals with pex lacking toxic, and just has loads of defensive utility too. I opted for boots over specs because I was finding it to be more useful being able to switch up moves. As I'm writing this I'm thinking sludge bomb could be swapped for toxic to hit Fini which this team has no reliable answers to outside of Aegislash eating hits and stalling out misty terrain to toxic.

Cobalion @ Leftovers
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Toxic
- Volt Switch
- Stealth Rock

This is my dark type answer and rocker. It hard counters weaviles and bisharps lacking lowkick (which in that case weavile is susceptible to the rest of my team). Volt switch also gives great momentum to help me keep momentum and toxic is for the grounds that are immune to it.

As for specific threats, offensive heatran is annoying as fuck to deal with since only volcanion can really deal with it and can still hit it with earth power. Calm mind clef sets up on pretty much everything assuming it's not unaware. Dragapult is hard to deal with as scarf outspeeds my whole team and dd+sucker just wins when it gets a boost and clear body prevents lando intimidate from making it more manageable. Calm mind tapu fini also just destroys me as the only real answer I have is aegi and stalling till misty terrain is over to toxic it. Hydreigon is also tricky to play around if it's scarf and I usually have to land a smart toxic on it to wear it down and keep rocks up. Also weather abusers are particularly trick for this team to deal with as well too since they easily outspeed and sweep once the team is worn down.

Anyways any advice would be great!

Im not an expert team builder, but one thing I noticed is that you don't have a ghost resist, which could be problematic considering 3 of your pokemon are weak to ghost. Weavile might be a good replacement for either Cobalion or Volcanion.

Additionally, are there specific benchmarks you want to hit with landorus and aegislash's EV spread?

1. Well, I think a Toxapex would work well against your issues
Toxapex @ Rocky Helmet / Shed Shell
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 144 Def / 112 SpD
Impish Nature
- Knock Off
- Recover
- Haze
- Poison Jab

2. I don't think Toxic on a Volcanion hits anything other than Slowking and defog on it would be better. Plus it will free up a slot on lando

* If you do consider using a toxapex, I would advise using ferrothorn with it
