[SET COMMENTS]
Ogerpon-C's vast array of utility options, good STAB coverage, and great Speed tier make it a solid Spikes setter. Ogerpon-C's strong offensive STAB moves give it many opportunity to set up Spikes on forced switches. Additionally, it can apply pressure on hazard control Pokemon like Great Tusk, Hatterene, Corviknight, and Iron Treads, ensuring its reliability in getting entry hazards on the field. Ivy Cudgel is a very consistent STAB move thanks to its good Base Power, applying pressure on Pokemon like Corviknight and Gouging Fire. Power Whip is a stronger Grass-type STAB than Horn Leech, making a world of difference in threatening the likes of Great Tusk and Iron Treads. However, Horn Leech is a viable alternative thanks to its higher accuracy and healing properties, giving Ogerpon-C some much-appreciated longevity. It also synergizes well with Sturdy, allowing it to recover damage taken from entry hazards and bring it back to full HP. Knock Off is a great tool both offensively and utility-wise, providing coverage against the likes of Gholdengo and Iron Crown while removing Heavy-Duty Boots from Pokemon like Dragonite and Gouging Fire, making them vulnerable to chip damage from hazards. Ogerpon-C is forced to run Tera Rock, which powers up its Rock-type moves, most importantly letting it snag a 2HKO on defensive Pokemon like Corviknight. Additionally, thanks to Embody Aspect, Ogerpon-C gets a defense boost after Terastallization, which can improve its staying power against physical attackers like Dragonite.
Spikes Ogerpon-C fits best on offensive teams as a strong Spikes setter able to overwhelm various common forms of entry hazard removal. Stealth Rock setters such as Landorus-T and Iron Treads appreciate Ogerpon-C's Spikes further acclimating chip damage on foes. Additionally, they appreciate its offensive capabilities against defensive Pokemon like Alomomola and Garganacl. Gholdengo is an amazing partner for Ogerpon-C thanks to its typing alongside Good as Gold shutting down attempts to remove hazards from the likes of Great Tusk, Corviknight, and Iron Treads. Ogerpon-C's efficiency against common physically defensive Pokemon like Great Tusk and Dondozo makes it a great partner for other physical attackers like Kingambit, Roaring Moon, and Gouging Fire. Iron Moth is another amazing offensive teammate thanks to its ability to obliterate Steel-types like Kingambit and Skarmory. Additionally, Iron Moth heavily appreciates Spikes more reliably securing KOs late-game. Rillaboom is another great offensive partner, helping overwhelm shared checks such as Zamazenta and Dragonite. Additionally, Ogerpon-C heavily appreciates Rillaboom's Grassy Terrain due to its residual healing alongside making Ogerpon-C's Grass-type STAB moves extremely powerful; under Grassy Terrain, Ogerpon-C's Power Whip can OHKO Great Tusk and Landorus-T after Stealth Rock. Ogerpon-C's typing leaves it very vulnerable to Kingambit; it cannot do very much damage to it while in return being 2HKOed by any move Kingambit chooses to use. Zamazenta is a great partner due to this, being a great Kingambit answer while also taking advantage of Spikes in its own right. Similarly, Iron Valiant can destroy Kingambit with Close Combat and heavily appreciates Ogerpon-C's Spikes helping facilitate a sweep.
