[SET COMMENTS]
Flutter Mane's excellent Ghost Fairy typing that offers an immunity to Fake Out, its Protosynthesis ability and Booster Energy allowing it to gain a Speed boost, and its vast movepool including speed reducing moves such as Icy Wind and Thunder Wave help Flutter Mane function as an excellent speed control Pokemon in Regulation G. Flutter Mane is especially effective against Pokemon that rely on their speed, such as Choice Scarf Urshifu-R and Calyrex-S, as it can threaten to OHKO or slow them down before they move. Taunt can be used instead of Shadow Ball to shut down support Pokemon like Amoonguss and Clefairy, as well as prevent Terapagos from setting up. Flutter Mane can also opt for Thunder Wave to reduce the Speed of Clear Amulet and Covert Cloak Pokemon such as Koraidon and Calyrex-S. Icy Wind is mandatory for Flutter Mane to play as speed control, slowing down both opposing Pokemon while also breaking Focus Sash from the likes of Chien-Pao and the Urshifu formes. Booster Energy allows Flutter Mane to outspeed the entire metagame and become a stronger form of speed control. The EV spread enables Flutter Mane to survive strong physical attacks such as Calyrex-I's Glacial Lance, Adamant Chien-Pao's Icicle Crash, and almost always Adamant Urshifu-R's Surging Strikes. The Special Defense lets it take Volt Switch from Modest Choice Specs Miraidon and Blood Moon from Ursaluna-B. Meanwhile, the Speed investment lets Flutter Mane outspeed neutral nature base 135 Speed Pokemon like Miraidon and Chien-Pao. Tera Fairy is great on Flutter Mane to shed its weakness to Ghost-type attacks such as Astral Barrage from Calyrex-S and boost its damage output, allowing Flutter Mane to threaten a potential OHKO on Miraidon and ensure a 2HKO on Raging Bolt.
Flutter Mane struggles against bulky physical attackers like Assault Vest Rillaboom and Iron Hands, which can sponge its attacks, don't mind becoming slower, and threaten an OHKO in return. Zacian-C and Zamazenta-C are major issues in a similar way, but they don't enjoy having their Speed reduced. Flutter Mane also struggles to keep up with more immediate speed control, specifically Prankster Tailwind from Tornadus and Whimsicott, that may allow slower Pokemon like Urshifu-R and Miraidon to threaten it. Flutter Mane pairs well with a variety of Pokemon, namely offensive Pokemon that can utilize its speed control. Chi-Yu exploits this especially well, threatening Zacian-C, Zamazenta-C, and Rillaboom with Heat Wave and Overheat. Chi-Yu also makes up for Flutter Mane's lack of offensive investment with Beads of Ruin and appreciates Flutter Mane's ability to threaten Dragon-types. Choice Specs Terapagos is an excellent asset for this duo, as it takes advantage of how often Flutter Mane and Chi-Yu can force Terastallization. Zamazenta-C can protect Flutter Mane from threatening spread moves such as Astral Barrage and Glacial Lance from the Calyrex formes. Terapagos and Zamazenta-C also appreciate Flutter Mane's speed control making up for their mediocre speed tiers, and its Fairy typing that threatens Koraidon.
