Corviknight @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Pressure
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Body Press
- U-turn
- Defog
- Roost
Corviknight's is the physical defense pivot of the team, and one answer to kingambit. I generally find myself using corviknight to either pivot to one of my more offensive pokemon or to stay healthy in the back to answer kingambit. I like rocky helmet as several of my pokemon are weak to u-turn, so corviknight can come in and often give more damage than it takes. Lastly, I have defog for hazards agaisnt stall matchups. I generally find myself not needing to defog against other teams as the games are over before they really wear on my team that much.
Darkrai @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Bad Dreams
Tera Type: Poison
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Dark Pulse
- Ice Beam
- Sludge Bomb
- Nasty Plot
Darkrai is a very new addition to the team as I previously had AV samurott-h in this spot for spikes instead. Having a second special attacker really helps as well. I generally use darkrai as a supplemental mid-game damage dealer with dragapult and sometimes a late-game cleaner when he is lower on health. The combined dark-type and ghost-type attacks from darkrai and dragapult punch holes into most teams I come across. Tera poison is very nice for fairies as my team is a bit weak to them. I'm not sure about having nasty plot as I never find myself using it, but I also really hate using focus blast as well, so other suggestions are appreciated.
Dragapult @ Choice Specs
Ability: Infiltrator
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Shadow Ball
- Surf
- U-turn
Dragapult is my main early- and mid-game damage dealer. Specs shadow ball is my go-to move to soften up the opposing team for the rest of my attackers. U-turn is mostly used against a team with blissey. I switched out flamethrower for surf as I don't find myself very bothered by steels and my matchup into garganacl is not great. Surf isn't a guaranteed 2HKO, but it does big damage and makes it hard for garganacl to repeatedly switch in. I only find myself using draco meteor against stall to pick up a kill when I've wittled their team down sufficiently.
Iron Boulder @ Booster Energy
Ability: Quark Drive
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Mighty Cleave
- Zen Headbutt
- Close Combat
- Swords Dance
I love iron boulder alongside roaring moon. Iron boulder is primarily used as speed control, but can also be used as a breaker for roaring moon or roaring moon used as a breaker for iron boulder depending on the matchup. I find some struggles against iron valiant so I put zen headbutt over earthquake. I never find myself missing earthquake and zen headbutt is used regularly against iron valiant. It is not a clean KO, but iron valiant can't OHKO back, so I can either finish it off or KO it later with any other faster pokemon after it lost its booster energy speed boost. Tera fighting is nice as it provides a secondary way to deal with kingambit.
Roaring Moon @ Booster Energy
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Acrobatics
- Earthquake
- Dragon Dance
Roaring moon's role in the team will either be late-game clean up or wall breaking depending on the matchup. Knock off is nice for stall matchups and acrobatics is generally my most spammed move on this set. My matchup vs steels is fine but earthquake is still nice to have. Roaring moon can also be used against Kingambit, but I find he gets too damaged by the time kingambit comes out. I find if I get even one DD up, roaring moon will be able to clean up.
Slowking-Galar @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 16 Def / 240 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Sludge Bomb
- Future Sight
- Thunder Wave
- Chilly Reception
Slowking-g is the pokemon that feels the most out of place on this team. I put him on for a spdef pivot with chilly reception, but most of the special attackers my team is afraid off, slowking-g is also afraid of. Future sight is nice to help with working down stall. Thunder wave has been helpful sometimes, but not much. Chilly reception is the most used move on this set by far. The most common use I have with slowking-g is to think "I don't have a good answer for this guy, maybe I should sack slowking-g". As a result, this is the team slot I am most open to completely switching.
The biggest problems I find with this team is stall ever since I switched out samurott-h and his spikes, darkrai, dragapult, kingambit, and iron valiant. Sometimes blissey is annoying as it makes me pop my booster energy on iron boulder or roaring moon too early. Weavile can be annoying as well as I feel almost forced to tera iron boulder in that game.
Some other thoughts is looking for a spdef pivot to replace slowking, maybe have some hazards, maybe resist dark and ghost. I have thought a bit about gliscor, but I really am not sure what to do with the last slot.
Thank you to everyone who reads this post and any feedback is greatly appreciated.
