Snorlax is appreciated by bulkier builds because it walls prominent special wallbreakers like Kyurem, Choice Specs Aegislash, and Dragapult and can function as a late-game sweeper with Curse. Additionally, Snorlax is great at taking advantage of one of the most prominent Pokemon in the tier, Clefable. Rest is crucial so Snorlax can consistently switch into Pokemon such as Choice Specs Aegislash and Kyurem and can't be hampered by status from the likes of Toxapex, Hex Dragapult, and Rotom-H. Heat Crash is the preferred last move because it lets Snorlax beat Corviknight and gives it coverage for other Steel-types like Aegislash, Excadrill, and Ferrothorn. Thick Fat is used over Immunity, since it allows Snorlax to better handle Kyurem as well as Rotom-H and Chandelure; however, be careful, as Chandelure can cripple Snorlax with Trick.
Fighting-types like Terrakion, Conkeldurr, and Kommo-o are troublesome for Snorlax to deal with, so answers to them like Dragapult, physically defensive Clefable, and Toxapex are useful. Clefable also offers cleric support. In return, Snorlax is an effective answer to Ghost-type wallbreakers like opposing Dragapult and Choice Specs Aegislash and takes great pressure off Clefable by switching into foes like Kyurem it'd normally be relied on to take on. Similarly, Fire-weak Pokemon like Ferrothorn and Corviknight benefit from Snorlax checking foes such as Rotom-H and Chandelure.
