After nine exhausting weeks, we have finally reached the fun part of the tournament.

Congratulations to everyone who made it. Both the returning veterans and newer faces who made it for the first time should be proud of this. Don't forget to thank everyone who helped with this tournament, from the many individual hosts to those who helped count statistics.

For anyone that is unfamiliar with the format of Smogon Tour, in the playoff stage each pairing will face off in a best of three series in the SM, ORAS and BW2 OU tiers. The higher seed picks the first tier that will be played, with the loser picking the following game. Win 2 out of 3 and you are one step closer to the prestigious pink trophy.

1. Tricking (SM, ORAS) vs 16. Empo (BW) - Think this series is probably the most interesting to me as it consists of two closely matched players who have been excelling recently, especially in SM - hope to catch these games.
2. Posho (SM, ORAS, BW) vs 15. teal6
3. Ojama (SM) vs 14. ZoroDark (ORAS, BW) - Looking forward to this BW game, I think it will probably be one of the best games this round and could surely go either way.
4. ABR (SM, ORAS, BW) vs. 13. Updated Kanto
5. blunder (SM, ORAS, BW) vs 12. Pohjis
6. FLCL (SM, ORAS, BW) vs. 11. Teclis
7. reyscarface (BW) vs. 10. Kory2600 (SM, ORAS) - Kory has been impressive lately and I hear he plays a solid ORAS whereas Rey doesn't play this tier too much, so I think Kory will win in what is likely seen as an upset.
8. Hiye (SM) vs. 9. Mounts (ORAS, BW)

1. Tricking vs 16. Empo master of none season 2 had a focus on italy (wont spoil but it is amazing, highest recommendation (s1 first though obv, its not long and well worth your time)) and so does this matchup. trickings a jack of all trades as well to make it an even more apt comparison although as the first seed and having looked unstoppable in sm maybe the title doesnt quite apply. oras however is empos turf despite tricking not being a slacker there so perhaps it does after all. overall this is a biased pick cause tricking also has an advantage in bw but empo wasnt pulling any punches in olt and i have faith in my boy to take find a way in one of the two hes not favored in as long as he doesnt bring dumb shit because you know tricking wont
2. Posho vs 15. teal6 didnt even know teal was in contention but then again i didnt know anything about that for anyone. i know hes got a real strong thing going on in sm but to my knowledge his oras/bw is somewhat reliant on outside help so while i think he will take gen 7 the other 2 likely go to posho who is one of the most adept at them. not that teal cant play them like hell, especially oras where he also has access to some real good stuff, but i think posho will pull something surprising out of his bag of tricks and thatll be a big factor in those gens
3. Ojama vs 14. ZoroDark zoro is really good at oras. ojama has been having a whale of a time in sm. thus it comes down to bw, itll be anyones game at first but zoro has a habit of making that 1 costly move and idt ojamall let him get away w it
4. ABR vs. 13. Updated Kanto kanto is actually quite good at sm/oras and could definitely take one of the two but hard to pick both against abr who is also very favored in bw
5. blunder vs 12. Pohjis lets hope the lobby doesnt fucking reveal nat gift fire gyara this time. see above predict
6. FLCL vs. 11. Teclis respectfully dont know teclis and DOOBIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
7. reyscarface vs. 10. Kory2600 not familiar with korys playing although i assume he is quite the smer. rey can be up and down sometimes but i think his experience will show him as more solid in a playoff situation
8. Hiye vs. 9. Mounts hiye has been playing insanely well lately so the games will be quite interesting to watch but theres no way anyone beats this effervescent french colossus

another stacked tour with 16 good players whose likelihood of bringing stupid cheese bullshit teams is minimal, nice​

This action by the TD team is very suspicious. Why would you look at a random game through FMG's run and conclude that someone threw on purpose just to let names like teal, empo and zorodark into playoffs when user Always was out of playoff contention already? I could go on and make theory after theory on this but this is very upsetting.
