[SET]
Swords Dance (Landorus-Therian) @ Rockium Z / Flyinium Z
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge / Fly
- Stealth Rock / Fly
[SET COMMENTS]
Offensive Landorus-T can be a true terror, as this set allows it to break through Pokemon that would normally switch into it, such as Gliscor, Alomomola, and Great Tusk. Swords Dance makes Landorus-T very threatening to slower teams, enabling it to break through Pokemon that would normally check it such as Ferrothorn and Alomomola. Stone Edge lets Landorus-T target foes like Zapdos and Mega Charizard Y. This set has a good matchup against most entry hazard removal options in the tier, so it keeps Stealth Rock up against foes like Corviknight and opposing Landorus-T.This can also dissuade Pokemon like Mega Charizard Y and non-Heavy-Duty Boots Dragonite from coming in on it. Fly targets foes like Great Tusk, Zamazenta, and Rillaboom. When running Fly, Flyinium Z should be used, as it gives Landorus-T the opportunity to OHKO Great Tusk and Zamazenta while also luring in Pokemon like Alomomola for big damage. With Rockium Z, Landorus-T can KO foes like Skarmory and Corviknight with the combination of +2Continental Crush and Stone Edge; otherwise, these two would come in comfortably on Landorus-T.
This variant of Landorus-T is usually found on more offensive structures. These teams appreciate Landorus-T's Electric immunity to block Volt Switch and Raging Bolt's Thunderclap. Landorus-T's ability to pressure physical walls like Alomomola can enable teammates like Kingambit and Melmetal. These teammates appreciate Landorus-T being able to pressure their switch-ins such as Great Tusk and Zamazenta with Flyinium Z and Rockium for Corviknight. Landorus-T appreciates Kingambit spamming Knock Off. Iron Valiant appreciates Landorus-T being able to remove its checks, such as Toxapex and Galarian Slowking, so that it can clean up in the late-game. Dragon Dance Dragapult values its checks in Ting-Lu and Ferrothorn being pressured by Landorus-T, especially non-Will-O-Wisp sets. Landorus-T is vulnerable to Water-type Pokemon such as Ogerpon-W and Urshifu-R, so it appreciates Pokemon like Raging Bolt and Dragonite to switch in and force these foes out. Landorus-T can struggle with Ice-types, as they outspeed and OHKO it; therefore, teammates like Ferrothorn and Kingambit are appreciated.
