Despite never being OU by usage, Reuniclus always presents itself as a threatening wincon in the tier due to its fantastic ability in Magic Guard, in addition to being able to threaten to set up with Calm Mind due to its fantastic bulk and typing and check common threats such as Mega Medicham and Mega Lopunny. Sporting Magic Guard, Reuniclus is able to threaten and sweep passive balance teams that rely on using Toxic and other passive moves to deal with setup sweepers. Psyshock is preferred over Psychic due to its ability to muscle through Chansey and once boosted is able to defeat other Calm Mind users such as Clefable and Mega Alakazam. Focus Blast allows Reuniclus to hit Dark-types such as Tyranitar, Greninja and Weavile. The Speed investment is to allow Reuniclus to outspeed Toxapex. To aid Reuniclus in sweeping and becoming a more threatening wincon, it is best to pair it with teammates who provide Toxic Spikes support such as Toxapex in order to put Dark-types on a timer. Pursuit trappers such as Weavile and Mega Tyranitar are able to trap Ghost-types and bulky Psychic-types such as Blacephalon and Mega Latias to aid Reuniclus in sweeping late-game.
