Mega Mawile has seen great success this SPL season, taking a massive munch out of many teams in SM OU! After a Swords Dance, it can be very difficult to wall with common defensive Pokemon like Ferrothorn and. Sucker Punch helps it against faster threats like Mega Alakazam. Knock Off is key for wearing down defensive threats. Thunder Punch is a viable alternative much greatly improve the Toxapex matchup. Mega Mawile can use both of its pre-Mega abilities well, since Intimidate can weaken Weavile, while Hyper Cutter can block Intimidate from Landorus-T. Rotom-W is a fantastic partner, as it can handle Ground-types like Gliscor and pivot it in safely. Landorus-T helps soften up foes with Stealth Rock while also being a secondary pivot. Ash-Greninja appreciates Mega Mawile weakening down the opponent's team for them to clean up late-game.
