[OVERVIEW]

• Good bulk and typing, Regenerator, and recovery give Slowking the ability to check the plethora of Water-, Fighting-, Poison-, and Steel-type threats within the tier.
• Additionally, access to Calm Mind lets Slowking serve as a reliable win condition late into games, beating out other bulky setup threats such as Suicune and Florges.
• Calm Mind is not the only thing Slowking has to offer though. A good support movepool in moves such as Dragon Tail and Thunder Wave allow Slowking to reliably play a supportive role, pivoting into and taking on threats like Conkeldurr and Lucario.
• While Slowking’s typing is good, it is also left vulnerable to common offensive typings like Electric and Dark.
• A mediocre 80 Defense stat also leaves it struggling to check stronger physical attackers such as Mamoswine.
• Slowking’s low power unboosted means it can often be used as setup fodder by the likes of Celebi and Gyarados
• Lastly, common status inducing moves such as Toxic and Will-O-Wisp can severely compromise Slowking’s defensive utility, further limiting the amount of threats in can come in safely on.
