Hello! This is my 1st RTM thread and I literally just started competitive playing around a week ago so I am still quite nooby at picking the correct pokemon. I recently found an interested strategy that is based on Slaking and Cofagrigus. Basically Cofagrigus has an OP ability called "Mummy" which basically spreads to the other pokemon if they make contact with Cofagrigus. That is when Slaking comes into play and hits the other pokemon therefore getting rid of his stupid Traunt ability.
Slaking @ Leftovers
Ability: Truant
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Pursuit
- Return
- Earthquake
- Shadow Claw
Surprisingly Slaking has a base stat of 100 which is pretty unusual considering he is classified as a lazy pokemon. Pursuit is probably the main move here because it guarantees that Slaking will be able to land a hit on pokemon with "Mummy" because the opponent probably wants to switch out. Return is the classic STAB move and Earthquake pretty much covers most types. Shadow Claw is there just in case they have ghost pokemons.
Cofagrigus @ Eject Button
Ability: Mummy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
- Memento
- Hex
- Will-O-Wisp
- Calm Mind
Cofagrigus is a tanky mother pokemon and I made it so he is a physical wall since he will be taking physical hits in order to spread Mummy around. The Eject Button is a important item because you switch Cofagrigus out when you predict an obvious physical move. Then you bring out Slaking. As for the moves Memento is there to use when I am pretty much about to die. I also use the Will-O-Wisp to cripple physical sweepers which makes it better for Hex. Calm Mind is there to boost some defense and attack.
Chansey (F) @ Eviolite
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD
Bold Nature
- Aromatherapy
- Soft-Boiled
- Toxic
- Seismic Toss
I chose not to evolve Chansey because it really doesn't make a difference and Eviolite boosts up Chansey's defense even more. Aromatherapy is there to remove any status effects on my team and is extremely helpful because most people like to use Toxic on Chansey. Soft-Boiled is self explanatory and Toxic is there to take care of other stallers. Then I finish off with the Seismic Toss which is really helpful.
Espeon @ Focus Sash
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Baton Pass
- Psyshock
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Calm Mind
Most of the time this is my lead to deal with hazards and especially Ferrothorn since I have HP Fire. Calm Mind is there to boost up some stats which sets up for Baton Pass to my Special Sweeper. Psyshock is to deal with special tanks.
Gyarados @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Outrage
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Earthquake
My physical sweeper and everything is pretty much self explanatory. Waterfall is an awesome STAB move, Outrage is to take care of dragons, and Earthquake provides coverage against Electricity and Rock types. I am thinking about taking out Life Orb and replacing it with Leftovers because it takes a toll on Gyarados.
Hydreigon @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Fire Blast
- Focus Blast
- Dark Pulse
My Special Sweeper and I often bring him out after a baton pass from Espeon. I paired it with Choice Specs which is why I went with Draco Meteor since I will be most likely switching out afterwards. The other 3 moves are pretty self explanatory.
