This monstrous moth is an incredible wallbreaker in the UU metagame! With a huge Attack stat, Close Combat, and First Impression, Slither WIng can crush walls like Gastrodon, Tinkaton, and Tyranitar and pick off faster foes like Floatzel, Haxorus, and Maushold. U-turn and Morning Sun make Slither Wing a strong pivot, which pairs well with Slowking and Sandy Shocks, and Protective Pads allows it to use U-turn against Talonflame, where it would otherwise risk being burned by Talonflame's Flame Body. 208 Speed EVs let Slither Wing outpace Modest Armarouge and Toxtricity, and the Special Defense and HP investment let it survive strong moves like Boomburst from Choice Specs Toxtricity. Tera Bug boosts Slither Wing's First Impression to terrifying heights, allowing it to OHKO the likes of Barraskewda, Gallade, Floatzel, and Lycanroc-D. Slither Wing synergizes well with the aforementioned pivots, as well as special wallbreakers like Choice Specs Gengar, Toxtricity, and Noivern, creating powerful offensive cores by bringing them in against foes like Quagsire, Talonflame, and Salamence while beating Gastrodon and Tinkaton in return.

This monstrous moth is an incredible wallbreaker in the UU metagame thanks to its huge base 135 Attack stat in combination with high power moves such as Close Combat and First Impression, the former crushing walls like Gastrodon, Tinkaton, and Tyranitar while the latter letting it pick off faster foes like Floatzel, Haxorus, and Maushold. even letting it get the jump on foes such as Rotom-C, Floatzel and Toedscruel. I reworded this part to give more substance to the moves and threats it beats, especially since Toedscruel is unviable and rotom-c isn't as common compared to other targets. U-turn in conjunction with an excellent form of reliable recovery in Morning Sun also makes it a strong pivot, pairing well with teammates like Slowking and Sandy Shocks Rotom-C, with Protective Pads allowing it to U-Turn even on the likes of Talonflame, where it would otherwise risk being burnt by its Flame Body. 208 Speed EVs allows Slither Wing to outpace Modest Armarouge and Toxtricity, and the Special Defense and HP SpDef investment allows it to live even nuclear moves like Choice Specs Toxtricity's Boomburst.
