Skeledirge is a decent Koraidon check, reliably beating Choice Scarf and Swords Dance + Flame Charge sets while pivoting into and scouting Choice Band Koraidon. Skeledirge is notably immune to trapping by Dugtrio and Gothitelle, which ensures its viability as an alternative to the more passive Toxapex. Torch Song is Skeledirge's most reliable STAB move and gives it the potential to snowball late-game into a sweeper. Will-O-Wisp prevents physical attackers like Koraidon, Great Tusk, and Chien-Pao from setting up on it and also annoys passive Pokemon like Toxapex, Ting-Lu, and Alomomola. Earth Power punishes Miraidon and Chi-Yu as they switch in while also letting it beat Garganacl and Tera Fire Koraidon. Alternatively, Hex complements Will-O-Wisp, doing heavy damage to neutral targets such as Toxapex and Pelipper. Fairy is Skeledirge's preferred Tera Type, granting it a valuable immunity to Koraidon's Outrage and allowing it to absorb otherwise supereffective attacks like Crunch from Chien-Pao and Earthquake or Headlong Rush from Great Tusk. Skeledirge fits best on balance teams that appreciate its ability to neuter Koraidon and can effectively handle the numerous Pokemon that can threaten Skeledirge, such as Great Tusk, Miraidon, and Iron Bundle. As a result, ideal teammates include revenge killers such as Choice Scarf Miraidon and Choice Band Chien-Pao and defensive staples like Corviknight, Clodsire, and Ting-Lu.

Skeledirge is a decent Koraidon check, reliably beating Choice Scarf and Swords Dance + Flame Charge sets while pivoting into and scouting Choice Band. Torch Song is Skeledirge's most reliable STAB move, allowing it to damage potential switchins and giving gives it the potential to snowball lategame add space ("late game") into a sweeper. Will-O-Wisp allows Skeledirge to force out Koraidon by threatening to Burn it and limits the pool of Pokemon that can switch in to it, notably preventing Great Tusk and Ting-Lu from coming in safely. honestly not a huge fan of the wording here, you can shorten this into something like - wisp prevents attackers like kora tusk pao from setting up on it and also cripples passive mons like pex tinglu alo w/e. Hex gives Skeledirge a secondary STAB move that lets it take advantage of its ability to spread Burns by doing heavy damage to Toxapex. Alternatively, Earth Power can be used to chip punish Miraidon and Chi-Yu more as they switch in while also letting it beat Tera Fire variants of Koraidon with ease. change the order of the moves as I pointed out earlier, and status is not capitalized so just use type "burn". Slack Off gives Skeledirge a vital form of recovery, allowing it to stay healthy throughout a game to continually check Koraidon. recovery point is redundant. Heavy-Duty Boots is chosen to give Skeledirge the necessary longevity to reliably check Koraidon, preventing it from succumbing to chip damage from Stealth Rock and Spikes. Heavy-Duty Boots allow it to continually check Koraidon without worrying about entry hazard damage. shortened a little. Fairy is Skeledirge's preferred Tera Type, granting it a valuable immunity to Koraidon's Dragon-type moves, allowing it to avoid being 2HKOed after switching into Choice Band Koraidon's Outrage. Tera Fairy also lets Skeledirge serve as a Chien-Pao check in a pinch, Terastallizing into the Fairy type to take a hit from Crunch and retaliate with a Burn. again I feel like you can just merge these 2 points like Tera Fairy makes skele immune to outrage and weaken otherwise supper effective hits like crunch from chien pao and eq/hrush from offensive tusk and punish them with wisp in a pinch. Alternatively Tera Water can also be used to handle Iron Head or Heavy Slam Koraidon, but at the cost of weakening the matchup against Outrage and Wild Charge Koraidon. i dont get this at all, youre not weak to iron head or heavy slam unless youre tera fairy, you need tera fairy to wisp kora locked into outrage and once its wisped you dont take much from iron head anyway? im prolly missing something so let me kno on discord. Skeledirge fits best on Balance teams that appreciate its ability to neuter Koraidon and can effectively handle the numerous Pokemon that can threaten Skeledirge, such as Great Tusk, Miraidon, and Iron Bundle. As a result, ideal teammates include revenge killers such as Choice Scarf Miraidon or Choice Band Chien-Pao and defensive staples like Corviknight and Ting-Lu.
