SS UU Sirfetched haxorus ferroseed offense, any help appreciated.

I was building a UU team for a game I have scheduled soon, and I wanted to build with some mons I have not used much in the meta. I started off with Sirfetched, haxorus, and barraskewda, and then tried to patch the holes from there.

Sirfetch'd @ Choice Band
Ability: Scrappy
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Brave Bird
- Close Combat
- First Impression
- Knock Off

Banded sirfetched is something I was drawn to building for, despite having strong resists in ribombee and galarian wheez. It has more then satisfied me, with a very strong priority option, and a close combat that 2HKOs vaporeon and stuff, for breaking down fat. I never click the other 2 moves, so maybe there is something more optimal, and I don't find many benchmarks that jolly hits. https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen8uu-1046039286 this is a great kind of teamcomp that sirfetched excels at, where every time I can get it on the field, I'm 1 step closer to winning.

Haxorus @ Dragon Fang
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 244 Atk / 12 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Protect

Haxorus is a mon that I thought would pair well with sirfetched, on paper it has insane attack, great speed tier for this gen, and 2 great setup options. In practice, I can't get it to work, I hope I just am not using the right set, or not supporting it properly, but it has not done much for me. I'm using dragon fang for more survivability, protect for first impression and scouting moves, EQ for wheezing and misc. coverage like doublade, and dragon claw over outrage so I can try to set up before I have killed all the fairies or steels.

Barraskewda @ Choice Band
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Close Combat
- Liquidation
- Ice Fang

Barraskeda has put in a lot of work for me in my testing, it obviously does very well against teams with a poor water resist, and also excels at baiting in vaporeon for an easy sirfetched double. I'm using adamant band because its damage is quite lackluster without, Aqua jet for double piority, ice fang for the bat and other dragons.

Noivern @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Defog
- Taunt
- Flamethrower

I'm using noivern because I wanted removal and noivern has preformed well in the past, would welcome other removal though. flamethrower hits doublade and avalugg hard, taunt keeps it from becoming setup bait, and draco can dent things well, while being more accurate then hurricane.

Silvally-Fairy @ Fairy Memory
Ability: RKS System
EVs: 152 Atk / 104 SpD / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Flamethrower
- Multi-Attack
- Parting Shot
- Swords Dance

still uncertain on this spot, it doubles as a dragon immune/noivern switch in as well as a way to pressure steel types. and use parting shot for momentum to get in Sirfetched or haxorus. SD multi attack lets it put its good speed tier to good use, the spedef investment softens hits from noivern. flamethrower is on it so it is not setup bait for doublade.

Ferroseed @ Eviolite
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Leech Seed
- Knock Off
- Protect
- Stealth Rock

Accidently sent the team, so I'm writing this quickly, ferroseed has great bulk and its typing provides a much needed switch in for many things, It provides rocks, good recovery with leech seed when accounting for its low HP, and team utility with knock off

Hey there Gravelmouse ! It's been more than a week and since you didn't get any answers I'm going to try my best to improve your team. First of all, I'm going to use what you said and the main title of the thread and that's why I'm going to keep your idea of Choice Band Sirfetch'd + Haxorus. However, since you want some kind of offensive teams, I do believe that there is way better options than Silvally-Fairy and Ferroseed. Barraskewda seems also super iffy in this kind of builds since it's a Pokemon which needs a lot of momentum and some teammates to remove bulky Water-types...Let's begin !

Choice Band Sirfetch'd pairs well with Haxorus since they both share common checks such as Weezing-Galar, Hippowdon or bulky Water-types.Thus they can weaken each others checks which allows them to be pretty effective vs defensive cores and bulky teams. While I do understand the point of Protect on Haxorus I also think that Haxorus really needs its extra coverage in order to be as threatening as possible.

Both Sirfetch'd and Haxorus appreciate Pokemon which can provide momentum and Xatu is pretty good in this role in gen8 thanks to Teleport. Xatu also provides to your team some Hazard Control thanks to Magic Bounce and a decent check to Weezing-Galar which may bother your two breakers (although Weezing-Galar doesn't appreciate Knock Off from Sirfetch'd neither Earthquake from Haxorus). The EVs spread on Xatu allows it to outspeed Adamant Sirfetch'd while still being able to handle 2 Strange Steam from Weezing-Galar after Stealth Rock damages).

Rhyperior is a really nice Stealth Rock user which fits well in Bulky Offense team. Unlike Mamoswine which is a more offensive Stealth Rock setter, Rhyperior trade the sheer force for much more versatility by being a great Flying-type check + a check to some current Poison-types such as Drapion

Doublade is just the best Pokemon in the tier and provides so much offensive and defensive utility to a team by being able to check Fairy-types and Psychic-types. Shadow Sneak is also super useful to revenge kill Polteageist. On the other hand, Doublade appreciates the fact that Sirftech'd is able to pressure with ease Dark-types and especially Umbreon while DD Lum Berry Haxorus is able to weaken Water-types. Doublade's Ghost-type is also super useful to prevent Rapid Spin !

Last but not least, SD Heavy-Duty Boots Weavile provide to your team a really nice win condition vs Sticky Web teams which was an issue for your team since the only real way to deal with was with Defog Noivern which didn't have Roost and really struggles to prevent Sticky Web vs most Sticky Web users.

Snorlax is also a nice option which can act as a really good check to a lot of special breaker such as Choice Specs Inteleon and Choice Specs Gardevoir. The only issue with this Pokemon is that it's not a good abuser of momentum.. quite the opposite. But still it's a viable tool.

This was great, appreciate you. I'm sorry I don't have the skills to more thoroughly test teams, I know they should be more viable then what I posted to be appropriate for RMT. I've seen Xatu/sirfetched cores work out well, and this seems great, especially appreciate the two options. Have a good one
