:togedemaru::qwilfish::chesnaught:
Primary Stat: Defense
Extra Restrictions before Pokémon phase:
- Must have a Protect clone that punishes contact moves (Spiky Shield, King's Shield, Baneful Bunker, Obstruct, Burning Bulwark, Silk Trap) OR must have an ability that punishes contact moves with Status or damage (Static, Flame Body, Effect Spore, Poison Point, Rough Skin, Iron Barbs)
Available fully evolved mons:
:Aegislash::Amoonguss::Ampharos::Arctozolt::Bellibolt::Breloom::Cacturne::Centiskorch::Chandelure::Chesnaught::Clodsire::Coalossal::Dragalge::Druddigon::Eldegoss::Electrode::Electrode-Hisui::Emolga::Ferrothorn::Garchomp::Glimmora::Gouging Fire::Heatran::Magcargo::Magmortar::Manectric::Maractus::Moltres::Nidoking::Nidoqueen::Obstagoon::Ogerpon::Ogerpon-Cornerstone::Ogerpon-Hearthflame::Ogerpon-Wellspring::Overqwil::Pansage::Parasect::Qwilfish::Raichu::Rapidash::Roserade::Scolipede::Sharpedo::Shiinotic::Simisage::Spidops::Stunfisk::Talonflame::Togedemaru::Toxapex::Vileplume::Volcarona::Zapdos:

Extra Restrictions after Pokémon phase:
- This pokemon must have defense as its highest stat and it must be 110 or higher.
- This pokemon must want to use a Protect clone that punishes contact or an ability that punishes contact (Listed above).
- This pokemon's Attack and Special Attack stats both cannot be higher than 90.
Description/Justification: These pokemon should aim to use their contact-punishing capabilities to force physical attackers into awkward spots. They also should rely on passively wearing down opponents through chip damage or status inflicted through their protect move or ability as well as through moves such as Toxic or Leech Seed rather than relying on their damage output.

Okay, submissions are closed now, as far I could look all of the ideas are self-consistent, so there's no vetoes, but there's something to note:

Primary Stat: Defense (B)
Extra Restrictions before Pokémon phase:
- This Pokémon must be able to learn a move that is guaranteed to raise the user’s attack stat or defense stat (these moves include status moves that boost stats such as Bulk Up, and attacks with 100% chance to raise a stat such as Diamond Storm)
Extra Restrictions after Pokémon phase:
- This Pokémon must want to viably run a move that is guarunteed to raise the user’s own stats (no longer limited to attack & defense)
- One of this Pokémon’s types must be Steel, Rock, Ground, or Fire
Description/Justification: Masters of the forge, Blacksmiths specialize in crafting tools for the battle ahead. Such skills make them experts in matters of preparation. Their craft has come shape their very being, as Blacksmiths fuse themselves with elements found in the forge.
Diamond Storm has a 50% chance to raise Defense by 2, not 100%

Anyways, with that out of the way, voting can begin.
You can vote for up to six subs, and for each single SV, you must vote for two submissions from someone else. Also note that if you SV it should be marked as such. Each vote is worth one point, no matter who it’s from or in what position it’s placed in. In the end, the top three classes will win, and will serve as our main categories for the Pokémon slate.

As an example for voting, here are my votes:
Porcupine
Anchor
Bulwalk
Mountain

Good luck everyone!

:regirock: :groudon: :aggron::ferrothorn: :rhyperior:

Primary Stat: DEF
Extra Restrictions before Pokémon phase:
- Must be a Rock, Ground, or Steel type
- Must have a Defense stat of 110 for greater
…etc.
Extra Restrictions after Pokémon phase:
- This Pokémon must have at least one ability that defensively interacts with a move flag (i.e. Iron Barbs, Fluffy, Bulletproof)
- Attack must be the second- or third-highest stat
Description/Justification: This is the class for the Big Boys. Rivals to the feared Giants of the HP nation, these guys focus on physical bulk, living hits, and retaliating with strong hits of their own.
:slowbro::pecharunt::golisopod:
Primary Stat: Defense (B)
Extra Restrictions before Pokémon phase:
- This Pokémon must have a move that enables pivoting (ie. U-Turn, Parting Shot, Teleport, etc.) or an ability that interacts with themselves switching in or out (ie. Regenerator, Intimidate, Emergency Exit, etc.)
Extra Restrictions after Pokémon phase:
- This Pokémon must be designed act as a defensive pivot
- This Pokémon must have an ability that interacts with itself switching in or out in some fashion.
Description/Justification: Powerful and resilient, Bulwarks devote themselves to the art of defense. When their allies may find themselves in danger, it is the Bulwark’s job to swoop in and shield them from the blow. From a plethora of experience, Bulwarks have adapted to obtain abilities that bolster their effectiveness while stepping in to save allies.
Pokémon Slate 3: Defense
You can submit up to 2 Pokémon for each listed class, as well as 1 Pokemon in the Waller class, a class that has no restrictions except that the Pokémon you’re modifying must already innately have Defense as its highest stat before any change. Submissions will close after a warning, good luck!

This mod’s been a bit inactive, let’s try breaking the ice:

:bellibolt:
:sv/bellibolt:
Pokémon: Bellibolt
Class: Porcupine
Type:

Stats: 85 / 65 / 113 / 90 / 97 / 45 [495 BST]
Abilities: Electromorphosis / Static / Damp [HA]
Move Changes:
+ Plasma Shield, Surf, Sludge Bomb, Poison Jab
Custom Elements: Plasma Shield -
-
- — BP - —% Acc - 10 [16 Max] PP - Protect Clone; making contact with the user will raise user’s special attack 1 stage.
Justification: Aimed to create a variant from the original Bellibolt sets that run Parabolic Charge. Similar mixed bulk to original Bellibolt, except slightly more skewed now to favor physical bulk. Defensive typing also covers quite a few extra resistances, with the big drawback of x4 weakness to ground. Plasma Shield aims for a less passive play style compared to it typically running Toxic in its 4th move slot. Parabolic Charge / 2 of Surf, Sludge Bomb, and Slack Off / Plasma Shield.
:avalugg-Hisui:
:sv/avalugg-hisui:
Pokémon: Avalugg-Hisui
Class: Waller
Type:

Stats: 95 / 127 / 184 / 34 / 36 / 38 [514 BST]
Abilities: Strong Jaw / Ice Body / Brave the Elements [HA]
Move Changes: None
Custom Elements: Brave the Elements - If this Pokémon is targeted by an attack, inverts the type effectiveness of said attack (same as inverse battle rules)
Justification: Avalugg-Hisui is a slow Ice type, paired to make somehow an even worse defensive typing. Inverting these weaknesses & resistances would provide a pretty interesting defensive profile, resisting the plethora of fighting and ground STABs that run rampant in the meta. Havalugg’s physical profile is much stronger now, although some mons still have their workarounds, such with Emboar who likes to run Overheat, or checks such w/ Hawlucha who Havalugg can’t switch in on thanks two Piledriver threatening 2HKO thanks to its defense drop. Not to mentions a majority of the upcoming special attackers should provide a potent threat to it.

I’d like to apologize to anyone following along, and thank you all for your patience. I have had a rough and busy few months, but now that I have time again I’d like to see this project of mine come back. That said, I can’t do it without all of you, so I hope you can help make submissions to keep this slate, and this mod, going.

:sv/breloom:
Redwood when he talks about how much he loves Breloom (nobody listened the last 50 times I said it)
Pokémon: Breloom
Type: Grass / Fighting
Stats
: 95 HP / 90 Atk / 120 Def / 60 SpA / 85 SpD / 85 Spe (535 BST)
Abilities: Effect Spore, Tough Claws
Move Changes:
+ Parry, Leaf Blade, Body Press, Ice Punch
- N/A
Custom Elements: Parry: Status, Fighting, 0 BP, 16 BP (Protect clone basically) + If the opposing Pokémon makes contact with the user while it’s using Parry, the user’s Defense raises by 2 stages.
Justification: Fundamentally unrecognizable outside of its typing, I took advantage of the flexibility of some of the restrictions and put a defensive twist on a strategy that gave this Pokémon some staying power in some of the most advanced formats of the last decade. In today’s meta, this same strategy, that of Spore, SD, Mach Punch, and Bullet Seed, wasn’t enough to keep up with power creep. However that still doesn’t stop me from loving it as a concept, so I wondered if giving the Mon a reverse King’s Shield as a way to boost Defense for STAB Tough Claws Body Press would do the trick. Even if it falls short there, with Swords Dance its reasonable overall defenses and a less demanding offensive ability may open up Breloom’s movepool enough to become a threatening bulky sweeper.
:sv/nidoking:
Initially this was gonna be a Mountain but I realized that it needed to start with its highest stat as Defense for that. Fortunately I found a way to work around that.
Pokémon: Nidoking
Type: Poison / Ground
Stats
:
Abilities: Poison Point, Rough Skin, Sheer Force
Move Changes:
+
-
Custom Elements
:
Justification:

:sv/doublade:
Twin Peaks haha do you get it do you get it do you get it do yo
Pokémon: Doublade (eviolite incompatible)
Type: Steel / Ghost
Stats
: 69 HP / 110 Atk / 150 Def / 50 SpA / 75 SpD / 66 Spe (520 BST)
Abilities: No Guard, Heatproof, Wandering Spirit
Move Changes:
+ King’s Shield, Poltergeist
- N/A
Custom Elements: N/A
Justification: Just another take on a Doublade evolution if Stance Change never happened, give or take some class-related abilities. Nothing too crazy here, but depending on what this could switch in against or attack, Wandering Spirit could prove to be fun on a Pokémon that actually has a defensive weakness in special moves.
:sv/golisopod:
Now it’s time to give it up for everyone’s favorite Alolan pivot Mon, Inci- huh?
Pokémon: Golisopod
Type: Bug / Water
Stats
: 75 HP / 125 Atk / 140 Def / 40 SpA / 90 SpD / 60 Spe (530 BST)
Abilities: Intimidate
Move Changes:
+ Parting Shot
- U-Turn
Custom Elements: N/A
Justification: There are few things in this world I love more than making Golisopod a good Pokémon. Using our patented Put-A-Bit-Of-Incineroar-In-That-Bitch-O-Tron 3000 I can do exactly that. Constantly wearing down the attack whenever it comes and goes, while still maintaining its identity in its ever-surprising ability to consistently revenge kill with First Impression, putting a bit of Incineroar in this bitch may give this Mon the breathing room it needs to shine.
