So I made a team a couple weeks ago and I got some great feedback on it here and I've done very well on ladder with it. I decided to make a hyper offense team based around Serperior who is an absolute beast when rolling. I thought Serperior fit well on a hyper offense archtype and it was my favorite archtype to play in Gen 4 so this is how I got started.

So like I said I started with Serperior:
Serperior @ Leftovers
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 56 HP / 200 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SpA / 30 Spe
- Leaf Storm
- Leech Seed
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Substitute
I started with Serperior as my primary sweeper and win-con. I went with the sub-seed set because I love being able to set up seeds or a sub, be immune to status, and fire off leaf storms. Serperior destroys everything that it out speeds (which is almost everything) and is a nightmare to switch into. He has troubles with the birds and fire types obviously so I needed a rememdies to that.
Mega-Manectric @ Manectite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 Def
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Overheat
Next I went with Manetric who takes care of the birds quite easily with blazing speed and great stab electric attacks. He can also deal with most steel types with overheat and a select few dragon and ground types after they've been whittled down. Now both Manetric and Serperior love entry hazards and have some trouble with fire types so the next Pokemon rememdies that. Plus I wanted to complete a volt-turn core to bring my Serperior and my other sweepers and nukers in safely.
Landrous-Therian @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 248 HP / 244 Def / 8 SpD / 8 Spe
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- U-turn
- Stone Edge
What better Pokemon to set rocks, deal with fire types, completel a volt turn core, and just generally sponge physical attacks than Landrous-T. Everyone knows how good Landrous-T, everyone knows what he does, and yet he still does damage in every game and gets rocks down almost without fail. His main goal is to get rocks down and spam u-turn to bring Serperior, Manetric, Starmie, and Heatran in. Next I needed a spinner and quick nuker with great coverage.
Starmie @ Life Orb
Ability: Analytic
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
- Rapid Spin
Starmie has always been one of my favorite Pokemon and it functions great on this team. Rapid Spin is super important, especially with a volt-turn core. I don't want to run Defog because I want to keep my hazards up. Starmie beats a ton of fighting types, water types, fire types, ground types, and even some grass types with ice beam. It has great synergy with with Serperior and my volt-turners making it easy to get in and spin. Plus it causes a ton of switches and is able to take full advantage of Analytic boosts. Next I needed a revenge killer to deal with fairy and grass types.
Heatran @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 28 HP / 252 SpA / 228 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Overheat
- Flash Cannon
- Earth Power
- Ancient Power
After doing some research I choose Choice Scarf Hetran. I love how he's working out on my team. He's an absolute beast and he continually surprises people. He wipes the floor with fairy types with flash canon (especially mega gardevior who doesn't switch out and tries to focus blast) and grass types don't dare switch in while he's still up. Earth power is for other Heatran and Ancient Power deals with Talonflame and other birds. Finally I needed to round out the team.
Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 84 Def / 172 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Thunder Wave
- Moonblast
- Soft-Boiled
I needed to round out the team and I was having trouble finding something to fit in so I thought a fairy type would be nice. Clefable is kind of a catch all Fairy type and deals with Dragons, Dark, and Fighting types and takes the hits that the rest of my team doesn't want to and Thunder waves to keep the momentum going. When Clefables checks are taken down she also turns into a fearsome sweeper. Clefable is the one Pokemon on this team that I don't know if fits and I would like some help with that.
Importable:
Any rates (1-10), help, feedback, and anything of that nature would be greatly appreciated. I'm still relatively new to team building, especially for 6th gen, so I definitely need some help with my teams. Any help will be reciprocated with rates and whatever else if asked for. Thanks so much!
