Hey guys I’m rather new to Pokémon and this website and you can call my Hirschy. I just started to get my feet wet playing competitive Pokémon. I've been playing for about a month now and I’ve started to get the hang of things. I've been trolling this website a lot finding Move Sets & Team Ideas but I’ve never posted anything. I've decided that I want to be more known in the community, maybe make some new friends and become a better player. So i thought no better way to do that then to get involved on the site. For my First Post i decided to post one my Pokémon Online teams. My DS at the moment is broken and i don’t have Black or White. This Summer I’m planning on getting a job and buying a Nintendo dsi and Black or White so i can play wifi battles. But in the meantime I thought I should try to improve my skillz on Pokémon Online so by the time i get the stuff for Wifi Battles i can be decent.
Enough rambling and on to the Team lol this is not a team I just threw together, I’ve been play testing this team a lot. I’ve gone through many of my own revamps and changes but now I want some other opinions. This is if you could tell by the title I’m using a team based on sweeping with Serperior and his +2 Contrary Leaf Storm. I know it hasn’t been released yet but it’s available on Pokémon Online and I’ve been testing it out and it Goes Ham! lol the overall team build is a simple FWG core. When learning how to battle and build teams i came across the man and legend Faladran! lolz I've watched a lot of his content and his FWG core idea is very basic but yet effective and can handle a lot of situations. So i tend to stick with that but i like to be original and make my own stuff up sometimes. Without further ado here’s my Serperior Team.[/FONT]
P.S. I’m not Japanese I just like to use the Japanese English translated names for shitz and gigz lolz
Ptera (Aerodactyl) (M) @ Focus Sash
Trait: Rock Head
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Whirlwind
- Taunt
- Rock Slide
Areodactyl is a simple lead but does the job well. His move set isn’t common but I like it on him because it opens him up to different options. SR is obvious setup to get entry hazards in, having 1-2 Pokémon that know whirlwind/roar is a staple for my team and play style because that’s my way of dealing with Pokémon who try to set up DD’s and such. Taunt is very nice because Areodactyl is generally the faster lead especially with weather leads running around; it also wrecks Whimsicott’s and Cloyster’s set up moves.
Mirokarosu (Milotic) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Marvel Scale
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Recover
- Toxic
The First part of my FWG core is my Sp Wall. Milotic has done a good job of being the bitch and just taken hits all day lolz she has great Hp Stat and is very bulky. I’ve seen people running a Sleep/Rest Talk set and I’m not a big fan I prefer the Standard recover Toxic Set. Even though it’s a special wall it can take a physical attack pretty well considering no Def Eve’s. And to my surprise can deal a decent amount of damage with Surf and Ice Beam. Originally I was running Jellicent as Sp Wall + Spin Blocker, but I must not of had the right move set or even nature set up cause that thing would just die all the time and could barely take a hit so I switched to Milotic. And she’s been doing Great….. In Bed ;)
Goukazaru (Infernape) (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Blaze
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Overheat
- Close Combat/ Mach Punch
- U-turn
- Stone Edge/ Earthquake
Infernape is my Mid Game Sweeper. Originally I had the Fake Out so I could come in, fake out with Life Orb for the Pimp Slap and then finish them off with one of his Stab Moves. The more I played with it the more I realized that the fake out slowed down my momentum and gave the enemy time to switch out, and the extra damage I was taking from life orb on fake out wasn’t worth it so I switched it for stone edge. This is the Standard mix sweeper set but it works beautifully. U-turn is nice because it hits Reuniclus hard and then allows me to switch out. On the slashes I could use some help on witch to pick. Close Combat is nice for Stab but with 252 Atk even’s and Stab I wonder if Mach Punch would be better cause I would get priority and with life orb added it could probably kill just as effectively as close combat? And I don’t have a way to counter electric Pokémon (mainly Electivire) because I run no ground Pokémon, so I was wonder if I should swamp Stone Edge for Earthquake?
Foretosu (Forretress) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Spikes
- Rapid Spin
- Protect
- Volt Switch
Forretress is my physical wall and a damn good one lolz I have Milotic to counter his Fire type weakness so I don’t have to worry about his counters too much. I run this over Skarmory because Skarmory is weak to Electric and I don’t have a direct counter and that would make 3 Pokémon on my team weak to Electric. His move pool is standard, my entire team pretty standard I wasn’t too creative with this team lolz
Jalorda (Serperior) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Contrary
EVs: 224 HP / 48 SAtk / 236 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Leaf Storm
- Hidden Power [Rock]
- Substitute
- Leech Seed
The main sweeper of the team and the whole point Serperior! His +2 Contrary Leaf Storm is what makes him good. But you have to be careful about how you play him. He is like a snowball, he starts out small, but once he gets rolling he gets bigger and bigger and then there’s nothing that can stop him…. Besides choice scarfers -_- I also run the HP Rock because it counters all his weakness and does decent damage. Besides being a sweeper he’s also a SubSeeder. So I can send him into something weak to grass, set up sub on the switch and continue to rape from there. Plus with leech seed when the send in their SP wall you just seed them and they become a huge health source.
Ratiosu (Latios) (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Draco Meteor
- Surf
- Thunderbolt
- Energy Ball
Last but not Least my Revenge Killer! I picked Latios because of his great sweeping ability and plus his move pool allowing him to have great coverage. He’s scarfed so he can out speed all other dragons witch is great. There’s not much to say about him, he just comes in and cleans up after Serperior. He’s just an all-around beast.
That’s my Team! Any suggestions would be great! One of my weaknesses is Electric type like Electivire and Thundurus, But Serperior takes out Thundurus with HP Rock. That’s all I have, tell me what you guys think of the team! Thanks for Reading and I Hope you Enjoyed it!
